THIS IS A 2004 PORSCHE CAYENNE SPORT MODEL IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION,
AS MENTIONED, THE CAR HAS CUSTOM AIR VENTED FRONT FENDERS ($1000) AND A FEW OTHER UPGRADES THAT SETS IT APART FROM THE AVERAGE CAYENNE.
IT RUNS AND DRIVES LIKE A BAT OUT OF HELL ! ITS VERY FAST AND FUN TO DRIVE.
I PURCHASED IT LESS THAN A YEAR A GO FOR MY WIFE BUT SHE NEEDED A BIGGER CAR SO I PARKED IT IN MY BUILDING AND PURCHASED A LINCOLN NAVIGATOR FOR HER.
LAST MONTH THE BATTERY DIED FROM LACK OF USE SO I TOWED IT TO THE MECHANIC WHERE HE INSTALLED A NEW BATTERY ($400 JOB AS THE BATTERY IS LOCATED UNDER THE DRIVER'S SEAT) A NEW IGNITION KEY/REMOTE FROM PORSCHE ($450 FOR KEY AND RE PROGRAM) HE ALSO TUNED THE CAR INCLUDING AN OIL CHANGE AND REPLACED THE WIPERS, HORNS, FRONT BRAKES INCLUDING NEW LARGE 380MM ROTORS AND SENSORS ($700)
THIS VISIT COST ME OVER $2000
THE CAR LOOKS AND SOUNDS AMAZING, IT HAS FREEZING COLD AC AND LIKE NEW TIRES.
IT MIGHT NEED A SOFTWARE UPGRADE FOR THE TRANSMISSION, IT SHIFTS NICE AND TIGHT BUT SOMETIMES IT HAS LIKE A SHIVER AND THE MECHANIC SAID I HAVE TO TAKE IT TO PORSCHE FOR THE UPGRADE.
THERE IS ALSO A SMALL LIFTER NOISE THAT USUALLY GOES AWAY WHEN YOU HIT THE GAS PADDLE (WE CHECKED COMPRESSION AND ITS FINE SO IT REALLY DIDN'T BOTHER ME AT ALL)

Veneno Roadster, One:1, One-77, LaFerrari, P1, Veyron headline 25-car Bonham's auction
Mon, Jun 24 2019Bonhams is holding a no-reserve auction in fall 2019 that includes some of the most valuable and sought-after supercars of the past decade. The lot of 25 beautiful collector items includes a Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, a Koenigsegg One:1, an Aston Martin One-77, a Ferrari LaFerrari, a McLaren P1, and a Bugatti Veyron. The collection, which was seized from a corrupt politician from Equatorial Guinea, is valued at roughly $13 million. If selling off future classics that are still in their infancy as collector items seems strange, it's because this is not a straightforward situation. These cars will be sold off by the State of Geneva, not a person. The collection was previously owned by the vice president of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang, but the cars were seized when he was placed under investigation for money laundering and unfair management of public interests. These 25 cars, which were located in Geneva, were first sequestered in fall 2016. A trial court ordered them sold off, and the money earned from the sales would be invested in social programs that benefit Equatorial Guinea. And so, Equatorial Guinea is about to see an influx of cash, as every vehicle is valued in the hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of dollars. The rarest might be the Koenigsegg One:1. One of only six remaining, it has 371 miles on the dial, and is valued at roughly $1.8 million. The Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, one of nine in the world, is a close second. It has 202 miles logged, and is valued at about $5.1 million. The Aston Martin One-77 is another rare bird. It is example No. 35 of 77, holds a 7.3-liter V12 engine, and is valued at about $1.4 million. A McLaren P1, Ferrari LaFerrari, and Bugatti Veyron 16.4 round out the top of the list. The remaining cars are not fully detailed, but they include examples from Mercedes-Maybach, Bentley, Maserati and Porsche. The auction will take place on Sunday, Sept. 29, at the Bonmont Golf & Country Club near Lake Geneva. For more photos and information, visit Bonhams.
Autocar pits Porsche 911 Turbo S against Formula 4 racer
Fri, 20 Jun 2014There is a long-running argument among performance car fans: power vs. weight. In one corner you get cars generally with small engines making modest numbers but able to corner like they are telepathic, and in the other there are big thumping mills that are rocketships in a straight line but lumber in the turns. Autocar takes an interesting look this continuum in a recent video pitting a 552-hp Porsche 911 Turbo S against a 185-hp Formula 4 racecar. It hopes to find whether the Porsche's huge power advantage is enough to defeat the better grip and aero offered by the nimble racer.
There's no doubt that the Porsche is an utterly fantastic road car. The 911 Turbo looks mean with all of those intakes to suck in cool air, and it backs up the posture with huge amounts of grip available thanks to its all-wheel drive-system. However, at 3,538 pounds, it's a bit of a porker compared to the 1,135-pound Formula 4 car. The open-wheel car boasts just a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder from Ford and a six-speed sequential-manual gearbox, but it has loads of downforce to make up for it.
It shouldn't be a surprise that the formula car wins in the corners. After all, that's what it's made for. So do you think the massive horsepower superiority of the Porsche is enough to even the playing field? Scroll down to watch the video and find out, and even if you're not curious of the winner the 911 does some mean powerslides.
Jay Leno chats with Magnus Walker about his 1972 Porsche 911 72STR
Tue, 26 Mar 2013Magnus Walker has stopped by the Big Dog Garage again to pay Jay Leno a visit in the latest episode of Jay Leno's Garage. This time, the Porsche builder brought along his 1972 911 72STR 002. Walker calls the machine his best build to date, and the car is a rolling "best of" from Porsches past, rocking some of the more attractive elements pulled from a wide arc of 911 model years. Of course, the machine also wears a few signature Walker touches, including flush-mount turning indicators, a center-hood fuel filler and plenty of louver work.
Unlike some of Walker's other creations, the 72STR 002 is clean enough to lick. Leno seems suitably impressed with the creation, and while apparently isn't typically a fan of Porsche models in general, Walker's tastefully modified 911 has him singing a different tune. You can check out the car in the video below.
