The 2014 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S brings 50 extra ponies to Detroit

Porsche has announced a new version of its popular SUV today at the Detroit Auto Show: the 550-horsepower 2014 Cayenne Turbo S.
This newly minted "flagship" of the Cayenne lineup is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.8-liter V8 engine, and offers 50 hp more than the Cayenne Turbo. Performance figures are impressive for the sleek utility vehicle: 0-60 miles per hour can be dashed off in 4.3 seconds, while maximum speed is rated at 175 mph. The Turbo S also gets dynamic chassis control, torque vectoring and Porsche's Sport Chrono package - all standard equipment.
Visually the Cayenne Turbo S differentiates itself from the lesser models in pretty subtle ways. Gloss black trim decorates the gawping front air intakes, as well as rear-view mirror trim panel. The SUV also wears 21-inch Turbo II wheels, a la the 911 Turbo.

According to research from the Discovery Channel, the 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS is the quickest-appreciating vehicle in the past decade, at least in the UK. In 2004, prices hovered around 65,000 pounds ($101,350 in current money), but buying one today would set you back over 500,000 pounds ($779,600). Rarer lightweight models go for even more. More than just a solid investment, buyers get what is considered to be the ultimate expression of the early 911. Built as a homologation special for racing, Porsche used the classic tactic of fitting a larger engine to boost power to about 210 horsepower while simultaneously cutting weight. A lower front air dam, extended fenders for wider wheels and ducktail spoiler at the back made sure the grip, aero and styling fit the motorsports attitude. Drive-up bank robbery perpetrated with Cayenne and WRX

Thieves carried out what appears to be a movie-script-perfect robbery of a bank in Sydney, Australia early on Friday morning, using two stolen high-performance vehicles in the process.
At around 11:15 AM local time, in near mid-day light, reports say that two men in masks smashed into the side of a Westpac bank in a confirmed-stolen black Porsche Cayenne. The perpetrators were armed with sledgehammers according to witness reports, and took only about five minutes to take what they were after inside of the bank.
The rapid getaway was executed in a Subaru WRX, also confirmed as a stolen vehicle, while witnesses snapped camera phone images of the illicit goings on.
