Arlington Heights, Illinois, United States
Hello
I am unfortunatley selling my pride and joy boxster. If you check the carfax the car has had no accidents in its life. Clean Title. All Minor and major maintanance records are recorded on there in addition to my paper records. It states the value of this car is 2k over blue book value due to the great history Car has oem factory upgraded porsche wheels wrapped in Almost new Michelin pilot super sports. Best tires on the market you can purchase. These cost me over 1400 dollars just for the tires. The Brembo brakes look amazing with these wheels. This car looks, drives and feels like a car worth two times as much. No wonder the msrp of this new was over 50k Brand new LED taillights and third brake light. 2 Sets of key fobs. New OEM porsche boxster car cover and bag included all owners manuals and documentation included New clear side markers. BRAND NEW TOP! This cost me over 1800 dollars. But well worth it. The top opens up and down in less than 30 seconds with the press of a button. No need to even get out of the car. Retractable rear spoiler goes up automatically at 75 mph, or you can move it up and down with a press of a button. Brand new Clarion 7 inch LCD headunit. Brand New speakers as well. You can hook up your apple computer to the screen or even listen to music through your ipad or ipod. Always stored in a garage. Never driven in winter. Obviously no rust anywhere whatsoever. People are always shocked when I tell them this car is not new. It really has the look and amenities of a new car. The car is mint in and out except for some normal wear on the drivers seat bolster. No tears or rips just some wear. Engine starts right up and is very fast as a porsche should be handles like a luxiourious go kart. There is really no other car that handles like this. The paint looks new. As you can see in the pictures it has a mirror like finish. I take pride in keeping my cars maintained and detailed in and out as you can tell in the pictures. Transmission shifts perfect smooth and the tiptronic is just so much fun basically like driving a manual. Really hate to see this car go but I need to pay for my sons next semester of college. Family is #1 You wont find a Boxster this well maintained mechanically and aesthatically for this price. If you have any questions Please call me at 847 414 3709 My name is Jack Have a blessed day! |

Popular Science magazine's Best Of What's New 2012 all ate up with cars
Tue, 20 Nov 2012Popular Science has named the winners in its Best of What's New awards, the victors coming in the categories of aerospace, automotive, engineering, entertainment, gadgets, green, hardware, health, home, recreation, security and software. The automotive category did not go wanting for lauded advancements:
Tesla Model S: the Grand Award winner for being "the standard by which all future electric vehicles will be measured."
BMW 328i: it's 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gets called out for being more powerful and frugal than the six-cylinder it replaces.
Top Gear brings together LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918
Mon, Jan 26 2015Earlier this month, Top Gear released a brief video of the comparison test between three hybrid hypercars we'd all been waiting for: the Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder. The story was done by the print magazine and not by the television show, and the video they released was barely over half a minute long, reserving the full version for subscribers of the iPad edition. Now the British mag has put the full video on YouTube, and while it's still only a minute and a half long – three times the length of the previous teaser – it's packed with electrified exotic goodness. The test surely took some serious wrangling to put together, and though the metal (or carbon fiber, as the case may be) was apparently furnished mostly by private owners, to hear Top Gear tell it, the manufacturers – Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche – were eager and helpful in putting the showdown together. For the final conclusions, we're afraid you'll still have to buy the magazine, but for a rare chance to watch all these three world-beaters on the same road at the same time, you'll want to scope out this latest video clip. Are you the next Porsche 911 GT3 RS or GT2?
Thu, 17 Apr 2014Porsche typically keeps to a suitably fast schedule when it comes to rolling out increasingly hard-core performance versions of the 911. After the 997 Carrera debuted in 2004, the GT3 version followed in 2006, and by the end of the 2007, Porsche had rolled out both the GT3 RS and GT2 versions. Then the facelifted 997.5 came out in 2008 and it was back to the start: the GT3 came in 2009, the GT3 RS and GT2 RS in 2010, and the GT3 RS 4.0 in 2011. But things have slowed down some with the latest 991 generation.
The new Carrera came in 2011 and the GT3 followed in 2012. By recent history's example, we should have at least two more hardcore models by now, but we don't. Maybe the engineers in Zuffenhausen have had their hands full fixing the spontaneous-combustion issues with the existing GT3, or maybe their attentions have been focused elsewhere altogether. But if these spy shots are anything to go by, it seems like they're back on the job.
Now we don't know if this prototype foreshadows a new GT3 RS or a GT2, but it sure looks more hard-core than the existing GT3 that many purists have derided as too soft, what with its automatic transmission and four-wheel steering.
