Porsche Boxster - 2003 - Fantastic Condition! on 2040-cars
Saint Johns, Florida, United States
Mint condition and very pristine and VERY QUICK Porsche 986. Rare color combo of arctic silver with silver top. 19,500 miles. Car is still getting broken in after 10 years! ! As preventative - had the IMS bearing upgraded to ceramic bearing (this is a must on these cars and cost over 2k with labor - LN Engineering Bearing), replaced AOS, spark plugs, coil packs, oil (motul oil), filter and oil filler tube and lastly new throw out bearing and upgraded rear main seal installed while doing the IMS bearing. All work completed at Technical Dimensions in Jacksonville. Clutch was gone over and was not changed as it is in excellent condition. As well, while car was up – had a thorough inspection and all was deemed perfect. No oil leaks, no drips, no issues! Upgraded radiator cap. Leather interior is in perfect condition, carpets are as new. You will not find a cleaner 2.7 liter Boxster. Evoms cold air intake with new filter installed. As well, car has a GHL race exhaust ($1,000 new) giving it a very very aggressive cup car sound. Original exhaust comes with car and might have 15,000 miles on it. If car is too loud it will cost you about $200 to change back to stock exhaust. I prefer the growl but resonance in cabin with top up makes you feel like you are on the track!! Short throw shift kit installed as well. Car will come with a brand new durametric scanner to manage the engine
and codes in the car. Car walk around top up - http://youtu.be/e4wGw6a5SSM Car Walk around top down - http://youtu.be/G5AtA8jJEGo Car is sold as is...no warranty expressed or implied. Lamborghini could be sold or spun off from the Volkswagen Group
Sat, Oct 12 2019Volkswagen is reportedly considering a sale or stock listing for its high-end Lamborghini brand. The German automaker is looking to fold the Italian supercar brand into a separate legal entity, reports Bloomberg, which cites "people familiar with the matter" who don't want to be identified "because the deliberations are confidential and no decisions have been made." Any of this sound familiar? The goal of spinning off Lamborghini would be to stockpile more cash and other resources for VW's massive planned push into electric vehicles. Back in March, reports circulated that Volkswagen's "Vision 2030" corporate plan might include plans to focus on the brand's core brands — VW, Audi and Porsche. That means the futures of fringe players like Lamborghini, Bentley, Bugatti, motorcycle brand Ducati and design firm Italdesign (and note this isn't a comprehensive list of brand's under the expansive VW Group umbrella) are up in the air. VW, according to the report, is targeting a market value of $220 billion, which is a big jump from the brand's current $89 billion valuation. Bloomberg pegged Lamborghini's valuation at around $11 billion back in August, buoyed by sales and profits generated by the introduction of the Urus sport utility vehicle. On the flip side, Lamborghini is currently grappling with how best to update its supercar lineup in the face of ever-increasing emissions regulations.
Road & Track names its 2013 Performance Car of the Year
Thu, 14 Nov 2013Road & Track recently staged its first annual Performance Car of the Year test, pitting 13 new and updated performance cars against each other on track, then graduating the top six to a road test before picking a winner. Additionally, the magazine staff picked the best automobiles of the year in eight categories.
But first, let's cover the PCotY segment. Here's the list of cars brought to the comparison test: Audi R8 V10 Plus; BMW 435i; BMW M6 Competition Package; Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z51; Ferrari F12 Berlinetta; Ford Fiesta ST; Jaguar F-Type V8 S; Jaguar XFR-S; Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S-Model Wagon; Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series; Mini John Cooper Works GP; Nissan GT-R Track Edition; and Porsche Cayman S.
To find out the results of the comparison, head over to Road & Track's website or check the press release below, where you'll also find the magazine's top-rated vehicles in eight categories. Want more? Head over to the 2013 PCotY hub. But before you do that, take a stab at guessing the winner of PCotY (we'll give you one hint: it isn't a Porsche).
Porsche planning customer driving center at Le Mans
Fri, 29 Nov 2013Porsche seems to be on a campaign to build driving centers for its customers to allow them to experience the capabilities of their cars on track. It has one under way in Los Angeles, another in development at its North American headquarters in Atlanta, and a British center set up at the Silverstone circuit. Now the latest reports indicate that Porsche is planning yet another driving center at Le Mans.
The new facility is earmarked to be built at the Circuit de la Sarthe right by the start/finish line, incorporating the Porsche Curves that bridge the Arnage corner and the Ford Chicanes on the West side of the famous track.
Porsche is reportedly still seeking approval from the Automobile Club de l'Ouest that manages the circuit, and once given the green light, would still take some time to complete. But the idea of driving a 911 flat out on the legendary track is likely to make more than a few mouths water, particularly as the German automaker prepares its full-on assault of the famous endurance race next year.
