2001 Porsche Boxster S, 72k Mi, Dealer Serviceable Warranty, Litronics on 2040-cars
Reston, Virginia, United States
I am the second owner of an excellent condition, 6-speed Porsche Boxster S available for sale that is completely factory and comes with a warranty good until May 2015 or another 29k miles, whichever comes first. This warranty is good at any Porsche dealer with a $75 copay. There are 71,500 miles on it and it may increase as I occasionally drive it on weekends. The car has brand new tires with less than 1000 miles on them and was recently serviced at Porsche Tyson's Corner. It was checked out and came back with a clean bill of health. It also includes the optional factory hard top with a Tequipment hard top holder, plus cover, for your garage, about four oil changes worth of Mobil One oil, and many other extra items that I never installed. The car needs nothing and is ready to go. According to the AutoCheck report, there was some type of rear end damage in 2006, prior to my ownership; I can verify that everything was replaced/repaired 100% and the car is perfect in that regard. The only reason for the sale is my garage is getting full and I need the space. Test drives with cash in hand only. This vehicle is listed for sale locally as well and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. eBay allows four free pictures; for more pictures, please click these links: http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e150/svtvenom98/2001%20Porsche%20Boxster%20S/IMG_6588_zps7487b6bb.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e150/svtvenom98/2001%20Porsche%20Boxster%20S/IMG_6583_zps5d474f5a.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e150/svtvenom98/2001%20Porsche%20Boxster%20S/IMG_6582_zps3a8033c4.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e150/svtvenom98/2001%20Porsche%20Boxster%20S/IMG_6580_zps76709c69.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e150/svtvenom98/2001%20Porsche%20Boxster%20S/IMG_6579_zps528989c4.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e150/svtvenom98/2001%20Porsche%20Boxster%20S/IMG_6578_zpsbfa002ba.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e150/svtvenom98/2001%20Porsche%20Boxster%20S/IMG_6576_zps22a6cd89.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e150/svtvenom98/2001%20Porsche%20Boxster%20S/IMG_6575_zpsde006eaf.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e150/svtvenom98/2001%20Porsche%20Boxster%20S/IMG_6571_zps8325c14a.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e150/svtvenom98/2001%20Porsche%20Boxster%20S/IMG_6565_zpsdc59d090.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e150/svtvenom98/2001%20Porsche%20Boxster%20S/IMG_6559_zps7e3a82e2.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e150/svtvenom98/2001%20Porsche%20Boxster%20S/IMG_6554_zpsa28a0604.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e150/svtvenom98/2001%20Porsche%20Boxster%20S/IMG_6552_zpsbd3cd20a.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e150/svtvenom98/2001%20Porsche%20Boxster%20S/IMG_6551_zps249ee042.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e150/svtvenom98/2001%20Porsche%20Boxster%20S/IMG_6545_zps22a2594c.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e150/svtvenom98/2001%20Porsche%20Boxster%20S/IMG_6543_zps8532adff.jpg Thanks for looking and good luck! |

12 new cars that will never go out of style
Tue, Nov 23 2021Some cars never go out of style. It’s rare, but it happens. They get old. They get depreciated. But they never stop looking cool. Some might call them modern or instant classics. Within a few years theyÂ’re no longer the latest and greatest, no longer the flavor of the month, but they remain special. Eternally special. Timeless. These cars arenÂ’t necessarily going to be worth a fortune someday. However, some may not depreciate as rapidly or as far as other models. But thatÂ’s not what weÂ’re talking about here. These are the cars that enthusiasts will always find desirable from the curbside. TheyÂ’re the cars you end up shopping on eBay late at night 10 years later because you canÂ’t get them out of your head. TheyÂ’re the cars that will forever excite you when you spot a clean one in traffic or in a parking lot. There are plenty of recent examples over the past couple of decades that could count as instant design classics. But then we got to thinking, what 2021 models will be forever cool to stare at? Which new cars and trucks on sale today will we be shopping on eBay late at night in the 2030s? We kept supercars and other ultra-expensive cars off the list to keep things within the realm of attainability, and ended up with 12 total cars. Lexus LC WeÂ’re not applying a numerical ranking to any of the cars on this list, but if we were, the Lexus LC would be No. 1. There isnÂ’t another car design out there that can stir our emotions the way an LC can when itÂ’s just standing still. This car is a concept design come true in the most beautiful of ways, and itÂ’s a shoo-in winner for Concours events decades into the future. All of this heaping praise, and we havenÂ’t even gotten to the LC 500Â’s intoxicating 5.0-liter V8. It doesnÂ’t win drag races. It wonÂ’t be the fastest around the track against any similarly-priced competition. But none of that matters. ItÂ’s quite possibly the best car you can buy new, and that says it all when it comes to the LC. Chevrolet Corvette It might not be the stunner that the Lexus LC is, but the new C8 Corvette is and will always be a special vehicle. ItÂ’s the first mid-engine Corvette, which instantly cements it into an automotive hall of fame section of sorts. All of the performance stats and specs are there to back up its supercar-like looks, and it remains the best performance bargain on sale today.
Porsche 911 Carrera 4S named Motor Trend Best Driver's Car [w/video]
Thu, 22 Aug 2013Motor Trend has named the 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S its best driver's car for 2013. The annual
competition for the title included some of the best performance cars that have gone on sale in the past year. The new C4S follows the 2012 Best Driver's Car award winner, a two-wheel-drive Carrera S.
Determining the winner of the coveted title isn't easy. Each vehicle is pushed through Motor Trend's normal battery of instrumented tests. Editors then spend time with each car over a 500-mile tour of mixed conditions before a final batch of testing at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, with pro racer Randy Pobst at the wheel.
Aston Martin renames Vantage GT3 after Porsche throws hissy fit
Mon, Mar 23 2015Porsche has a long history of using the name "GT3" for its hardcore, naturally aspirated 911 models, and that means it's certainly not going to share it with the likes of Aston Martin. See, it seems the arrival of the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show didn't sit well with Stuttgart, which opted to lawyer up. According to Goodwood Road and Racing, attorneys from both sides of the Channel have been in discussion for months over the issue, with Porsche arguing it's been using the GT3 name since 1999, and that makes it theirs. Aston, though, argues that the FIA GT3 racing series makes the name fair game for road cars. Moreover, the Brits point out that the alphanumeric was in use well before Porsche got its mitts on it – GRR rightly points out the Lotus Esprit GT3 hit the streets three years before the 996 GT3. And while we're on the subject, Bentley has its own GT3, but we're guessing its status as one of Porsche's siblings means its immune to this kind of squabbling. Rather than getting into a knock-down, drag-out courtroom brawl with one of the Volkswagen Group's prized brands, though, Aston has taken the high road. The company will rechristen both the road-going Vantage GT3 and Vantage racer as the GT12. While Porsche is no stranger to aggressively protecting what it views as its closely held vehicle names, we have to admit, it seems like Aston actually has something of a case. Do you think the Brits were right to settle and change the Vantage's name, or should they have taken the fight to Porsche? Have your say in Comments.
