Send me questions at : dutterercohelbridge@gmail.com
If youre looking at this listing, you already know what type of car you are getting. For those of you who have stumbled upon it, Ill explain. This is a 2010 Porsche Cayman S. It is a 987.2 and came with the 3.4L DFI motor that was only in the 2009-2012 Caymans, the previous 987.1 caymans had engine failures due to poor design. This particular cayman is of the most desirable because of the color combo and options. This car has been garage kept its entire life. There is not a scratch or dent anywhere on it. The car has never seen salt, rain or snow. It is literally showroom new. I would prefer to sell it to someone who will keep it that way and not track it (even though it was made for the track). The reason I am selling is that I have 2 children now and I rarely find one day a month that I can actually take the car out to a show or meet. I have a ton of tasteful modifications into the car that make it one of the best caymans around. If you have any questions or would like more pictures, feel free to contact me. Im a PCA member and enthusiast. Upgrades: (All less than a year old and only about 1,000 miles on them) H&R Coilover system: $2,400 Euro Spec Sidemarkers: $110.00 Ingo Noak Wing (only one in the US with it, imported from Germany): $1,800 19x11 19x8.5 AG wheels with tpms: $2,600 Fabspeed Custom long tube race headers: $2,300 Fabspeed Race Cup Exhaust: $2,000 Dustless Brakepads: $280 Suntek Clear Bra: $900 Gloss Black side gills: $290 Cayman R Oem Splitters: $800 Silver Porsche Crest: $115 Remaining 3.5 years of 5 year warranty: $2,500 All work done by Mike Tilsons exotics **Original Parts come with the car. Drive like a prince: Join us for a walk through Monaco's car collection
Fri, Dec 29 2023Small, crowded, and a royal pain in the trunk lid to drive into during rush hour, Monaco sounds like an improbable location for a huge car museum. And yet, this tiny city-state has been closely linked to car culture for over a century. It hosts two major racing events every year, many of its residents would qualify for a frequent shopper card if Rolls-Royce issued one, and Prince Rainier III began assembling a collection of cars in the late 1950s. He opened his collection to the public in 1993 and the museum quickly turned into a popular tourist attraction. The collection continued to grow after his death in April 2005; it moved to a new facility located right on Hercules Port in July 2022. Monaco being Monaco, you'd expect to walk into a room full of the latest, shiniest, and most powerful supercars ever to shred a tire. That's not the case: while there is no shortage of high-horsepower machines, the first cars you see after paying ˆ10 (approximately $11) to get in are pre-war models. In that era, the template for the car as we know it in 2023 hadn't been created, so an eclectic assortment of expensive and dauntingly experimental machines roamed whatever roads were available to them. One is the Leyat Helica, which was built in France in 1921 with a 1.2-liter air-cooled flat-twin sourced from the world of aviation. Fittingly, the two-cylinder spun a massive, plane-like propeller. Government vehicles get a special spot in the museum. They range from a Cadillac Series 6700 with an amusing blend of period-correct French-market yellow headlights and massive fins to a 2011 Lexus LS 600h with a custom-made transparent roof panel that was built by Belgian coachbuilder Carat Duchatelet for Prince Albert II's wedding. Here's where it all gets a little weird: you've got a 1952 Austin FX3, a Ghia-bodied 1959 Fiat 500 Jolly, a 1960 BMW Isetta, and a 1971 Lotus Seven. That has to be someone's idea of a perfect four-car garage. One of the most significant cars in the collection lurks in the far corner of the main hall, which is located a level below the entrance. At first glance, it's a kitted-out Renault 4CV with auxiliary lights, a racing number on the front end, and a period-correct registration number issued in the Bouches-du-Rhone department of France. It doesn't look all that different than the later, unmodified 4CV parked right next to it. Here's what's special about it: this is one of the small handful of Type 1063 models built by Renault for competition.
2015 Porsche Cayenne S
Tue, 23 Sep 2014Oh, Porsche.
Just as the dust settles over the 911 GT3's no manual gearbox kerfuffle, the Germans have gone and yanked the yummy naturally aspirated 4.8-liter V8 from the Cayenne S and replaced it with a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6. Is nothing sacred in Porscheland?
Perhaps not... but that's not necessarily a bad thing. After all, Porsche famously once said they'd never build a diesel, but when they did, it was actually rather stellar.
Porsche's 959 is still poster-worthy after all these years
Thu, 24 Jul 2014Today, we have the Porsche 918 Spyder. Before that, there was the Carrera GT. While both of those cars are dramatic departures from the traditional, rear-engine Porsche formula, they owe their very existence to another wild child of the iconic German brand - the 959.
Like so many of the great performance cars of yesteryear, the 959 was a homologation special, built just so Porsche could go racing in the clinically insane Group B rally series. Fewer than 400 959s hit the streets, but those that did were some of the most advanced cars of the 1980s. A rear-mounted, twin-turbocharged flat-six sent its power through a still-rare all-wheel-drive system, creating a race-inspired rocket that was, for a short time, the fastest production car on the planet.
Xcar has the story of the 959, from its inception to its conquest of the Paris-Dakar rally, which is interspersed with a drive of the legendary coupe. Scroll down for the full video.
