2015 Porsche Cayman Gts on 2040-cars
Long Beach, California, United States
Feel free to ask me any questions about the car : bobbyebnnicklien@clubyamaha.com .
It has always been garage kept, and served as my weekend car, not a commuter. The interior looks practically brand new, with no signs of wear. Almost all my driving was done solo. The exterior looks excellent as well.
The car has Xpel clear bra installed on the whole front end, headlights, side mirrors, rocker panels & behind the
rear tires.
There is a chip in the front spoiler from debris on the freeway, and the Xpel clear bra has a couple marks from
where it deflected other debris. Any flaws can only be seen from up close.
I installed Rennline fully adjustable pedals ($450 value), because they look so cool. Scientific Porsche of
Pasadena installed H&R springs, which retained the stock ride quality, but gives it a sportier look. Other than
that, it is all original.
In addition to the upgrades a GTS provides, options include:

Leather Interior in Black with Alcantera
Porsche Doppelkupplung Transmission (PDK)
Smoking Package
Roof Lining in Alcantara
Power Steering Plus
Adaptive Sport Seats Plus (18-way) with Memory Package

Studiotorino shows new Cayman-based Moncenisio sports car
Mon, 24 Mar 2014While the recent bankruptcy of Bertone shows that it has become very difficult to be a coachbuilder today, it seems there is still a business case in creating unique bodies for premium vehicles. Case in point, Studiotorino a small, Italian coachbuilder that has been creating limited-edition cars since 2005. Its latest creation is the Moncenisio, which debuted as a prototype at the National Automobile Museum of Turin on March 21. It's named after the 1902 Susa-Moncenisio race in Italy, the first automotive hillclimb in the world.
The Moncenisio begins life as Porsche Cayman S, and each car will be built to order with a planned production run of 19 examples. The chassis, mechanicals and engine are all left untouched. The only thing that Studiotorino alters are the body panels and interior appointments. Prices start at at a heady 145,000 euros ($200,420 US), plus the cost of the donor vehicle.
Architect Daniele Gaglione penned the shape of the Moncenisio, taking inspiration from the 1963 Porsche 904. The sports coupes receive carbon fiber pieces that replace the front bumper, side panels and rear bumper. Studiotorino also covers the rear side windows with welded metal panels. The design is still clearly a Cayman, especially from the front, but the extended roof and support pillars create a new look from behind, which features a new exhaust treatment and rear spoiler. The interior receives leather upholstery on the engine compartment cover, the partition between the engine and seats, ceiling and A-pillars. Scroll down to view a walkaround of the Moncenisio and read the full press release about it.
The pre-race and first in-race report from Le Mans
Sat, 22 Jun 2013The 2013, 90th anniversary edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans has begun, tragedy marking the opening laps with the death of Allan Simonsen. We're at the track now as a guest of Audi and plan to stay through the evening, and even we haven't been able to find out what caused the accident - the only video is from just after the incident, and beyond the statement from ACO there's been no more news. The Aston Martin in the LM GTE Am class and its all-Danish drivers had taken pole in its class and was one of the favorites to win.
The pre-race report will come first, and even thought we can't spoil the race because we're only five hours into it at the time of writing, we'll put all of the news at the end in case you don't even want the updates.
Or you can go straight to the high-res galleries above.
Overnight action from the 24 Hours of Le Mans
Sun, 23 Jun 2013We won't go into a recap here, but there are still leading positions being fought for in all classes - it's so close that leads are changing when a car goes into the pits. We'll let the recap wait until the end of the race, so for now enjoy some shots from last night's action at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
