2006 Porsche Cayman S Super Low Miles, Excellent Condition !!! Black/tan on 2040-cars
Jupiter, Florida, United States
2006 Porsche Cayman S coupe, Black exterior in excellent condition, tan interior in just about perfect condition as well. Manual 6 speed transmission. This car has always been garage kept!!! Only driven in good weather, it's a third vehicle that I may drive sometimes on a Sunday, NOT a daily driver! The car runs great, never any issues, service now reminder just popped up(just a reminder, goes away immediately), just a normal service/ oil change getting close. This car runs PERFECT. Air conditioning is cold. 26,609 gently used miles on this Cayman S. You will not find another car out there with super low miles and the magnificent condition of this vehicle.
I have maintained this car meticulously as can be seen by my pictures. Washed weekly, waxed monthly. Currently on the second set of Michelin Pilot Sports, they are still good for awhile. I find that these tires last me 15000 miles then it's time to replace. The interior of this car looks like it just came off of the showroom floor. Nice Bose speaker system. Airbags all around This car is turnkey, and really FAST!! I think it handles and runs faster than the 911's I have had in the past. Only reason I'm selling is because I'm moving into a new house that only has a two car garage, so this is the odd car out, will miss it but the new owner will be very proud to own this one. I own this car free and clear, so the transaction can happen immediately, title in hand. I will be happy to answer any additional questions via email. The car is located in Jupiter, Florida. New buyer can either pick up the car in Jupiter or I can arrange transportation at new buyers expense. I have priced the car very competitively, good luck bidding! Very fair reserve price. |

Are you the 2017 Porsche 911 GTS Targa?
Sun, Nov 30 2014Our spy shooters have caught a strange, mash-up beast wearing a Porsche badge. Superficially, this is a facelift for the 911 Targa that features new bumpers, door handles and a redesigned engine cover, along with new light graphics for the front and rear lights. But have a look around back, and you'll find two inboard exhaust pipes; they aren't right up against each other as on the 911 GT3, but are spaced about five inches apart. The shooters said the first time they saw that arrangement was last winter, on a convertible during testing. We saw it again more recently in spy shots of what was thought to be the 911 GTS coupe prototype at the track. But when the production GTS arrived, it wore the traditional quad-pipe at the corners. The theory put forward by the spy photog: the current GTS has a naturally aspirated engine, but facelifted prototypes they've been seeing all have turbo engines, so this could be the facelifted Targa coming in 2017, after the 991-model 911 gets a refresh. In that case, the GTS coupe prototype at the track would have also been a post-refresh, turbo-engined GTS. It's only a hypothesis, but more than one outlet has reported that Porsche is going all-turbo for the updated 2015 models – the new exhaust position and those 911-Turbo-like vents could be their identifiers. We expect to find out when the lineup is unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, possibly codenamed 992 instead of 991.2.
Porsche Macan fails moose test, Stuttgart responds
Tue, 14 Oct 2014Different countries have different safety standards, but most of them revolve around a similar set of tests: front impact, side impact, offset impact, rollover... the usual. But Sweden has its own test. It's called the Moose Test (or the Elk Test), and it's unique to Scandinavia: a car has to be able to avoid a theoretical antlered mammal on the road while traveling at 43.5 miles per hour and return to its previous course without flipping over. The Jeep Grand Cherokee ran afoul of the uniquely Nordic maneuver a couple of years ago, but even more surprising is the way the Porsche Macan has reacted.
Under testing by Sweden's Teknikens Värld, Porsche's downsized crossover - specifically the Macan S Diesel, for what it's worth - didn't flip over, but it skidded off course. In real-world conditions, it follows, the vehicle could run off the road or into oncoming traffic. The testers ran the test several times, and even removed excess weight from the vehicle, and each time it reacted the same way.
In response, Porsche has explained that the behavior is the result of its Active Rollover Protection system kicking in. When the system detects that the vehicle could drastically oversteer, flip over or lose its tire, it momentarily applies the brake on the front outside wheel, allowing the vehicle to shed the cornering forces without losing it completely.
Porsche Cayenne spied unconstrained by camouflage
Thu, 05 Jun 2014Meet the facelifted Porsche Cayenne. Our eagle-eyed spy shooters captured this example of Porsche's freshened SUV virtually devoid of camo, giving us our clearest look yet at what the eventual mid-cycle work will do to the strong-selling Cayenne.
The overall changes do, indeed, look minor, with a reprofiled intake being the most obvious item. The headlights are still covered, so we don't know what kind of jeweling has been done, but the shape does appear identical to the current model. Overall, the changes appear totally in line with a mid-cycle refresh.
As we explained previously, a plug-in Cayenne is on the way. It will join a crop of engines that is likely to be similar to what's on offer today, with naturally aspirated, turbocharged, hybrid and diesel variants released over time.
