2006 Porsche Cayman S Sport Chrono, Exhaust, 6spd, 33k Mi on 2040-cars
Noblesville, Indiana, United States
2006 Porsche Cayman S Sport 33,100 miles I'm selling my Cayman due to lack of driving it. I live in Indianapolis and the car sits in my garage all winter under the cover. I apologize for only doing a quick wash, but it's around freezing here. The Cayman S is one of the best sports cars I've owned. The car revs fast, pulls hard, and really turns heads. All the services have been recorded and even oil changes are documented on carfax. It has quite a few options and I will detail them below. The wheels are 19" Carreras and have been plastidipped to the Agate Gray color. If you prefer the silver, the color can be peeled off easily. The wheels do not exhibit any damage. I'm also including the factory exhaust if the buyer wants it along with a Porsche heavy duty outdoor carcover. The car has never sat outside, I just got the cover with the car. Also, I did take a picture, but the switches on the HVAC are pretty decent. I can help you arrange shipping if it is needed. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have. Options: 1.) Sport Steering Wheel 2.) Bi-Xenon Headlamps 3.) Bose 4.) CD/DVD Changer 5.) 14 way seats 6) 19" Carrera Wheels 7.) Porsche Floormats 8.) m2 Aftermarket Exhaust 9.) K&N Filter |

Car companies may need to start curbing model proliferation
Mon, 17 Nov 2014Looking at the current automotive landscape, especially from German makers, you quickly get the impression that less definitely isn't more. BMW alone offers its 3 Series platform in practically every segment possible, including the regular sedan and 4 Series Gran Coupe, which would seem to be direct competitors. Porsche might be the winner, though, with 20 different variants of the 911 listed for sale on its US website. However, some of this model madness might be reaching an end as companies begin cutting back spending or shifting money to other priorities.
According to Yahoo Finance, the offerings from the German automakers are up 25 percent over the past three years to over 200 models in Europe. The peak is expected to come around 2018 at 230 separate vehicles, according to consulting company PwC.
Amazingly, BMW, which is among the poster children for this model explosion, might be changing its tune. "I'm sure there will be points in the future where we look at certain cars and say, 'Maybe we need to think differently now,'" said head of sales Ian Robertson in an interview, according to Yahoo Finance. The statement certainly sounds shocking coming from a company rumored to have 23 front-wheel-drive vehicles all using a single platform on the way.
This FL man accused of stealing drivers licenses has best tattoo ever
Thu, 10 Jul 2014Bentley and Porsche are two of the jewels in Volkswagen Group's luxury brand crown, but in Florida they also have a very tenuous connection with crime. With his multiple face and neck tattoos, including a Bentley logo right between his eyes, Derek Denesevich (pictured above) has been charged with the surprising crime of alleged identity theft. He recently surrendered to a Florida court, and could face seven years in prison, if convicted.
You might wonder where Porsche fits into this. According to the Sun Sentinel, Denesevich's accomplice was one Porscha Kyles, who worked for the Broward Clerk of Courts. She allegedly used her access to driver's license records to steal information and sell it to Denesevich. He is then accused of filing fraudulent income taxes to recoup the refund checks.
According to the Sentinel, Kyles has already pleaded guilty to conspiracy and identity theft and was sentenced to three years and one day in prison. The duo reportedly stole over 100 identities and made at least $120,000. Scroll down for a video about this pair of auto-related criminals.
Porsche 918 Spyder could lap the 'Ring even quicker [w/video]
Mon, 16 Sep 2013Porsche had a lot to crow about at the Frankfurt Motor Show last week. Not only did it debut the new 50 Years edition and Turbo versions of the 911 and the new hybrid and diesel versions of the Panamera, but while unveiling the final production version of the new 918 Spyder, it revealed the record lap it set around the Nürburgring.
The 918 Spyder's 6:57 lap time makes it the fastest street-legal production car ever to lap the Nordschleife and the first to break the seven-minute barrier. But the driver who clocked the time thinks it can go even faster.
That driver was Marc Lieb, who has won the Nürburgring 24-hour race four times, making him something of an expert on the subject. In speaking with Australia's Drive TV, Lieb suggested that they could get even more out of the car, as you can hear for yourself in the video below.
