This a very special Porsche Cayenne Turbo, you will not find one like this very easily. It is loaded with options and it is in superb condition also featuring low miles. You will be driving a 120K+ vehicle for a fraction of the new price, most people think it is a very recent model year based on its excellent condition both cosmetically and mechanically.

Here are some of the main features:
  • Rare Carbon Fiber option worth over $6K. You won't find this on many Porsche Cayenne's, and you also will not find it on the pricing engines. This is factory option that included Carbon fiber trim around the console, the steering wheel, the gear selector and other places around the vehicle. You will love the feel of the steering wheel and gear selector. You can see the pricing on this option on the "Exclusive options" part of the window sticker. This is factory option as everything is on this vehicle.
  • Gray leather interior, also not easy to find, giving the vehicle a very young and modern look, this is why we choose this trip type. The leather is in super condition, including the driver's seat. You will see it on pictures.
  • Full Panoramic Roof. This one can be opened partially or completely, and has several other settings in between. It also has a nice automated curtain that protects from sun or leaves the look of the glass.
  • Full Porsche Tow Package. This is a factory Porsche installed package as well (at 3300 mi.), not in the original sticker price, over $1500, receipt included.
  • Sport Techno Wheels. These are 20" and give the vehicle a great look. Unfortunately they have a some curve rash of a single occasion on one side (both wheels), and another single occasion on one of the right wheels. This can be refinished.
  • Tires have less than 5K miles indeed, top of the line Hankook.
Imperfections:
  • As I mentioned above the rims show curve rash from 2 single occasions.
  • The back seat is made to fold, however, the levers on each side are not functioning properly and will likely need repair or replacement.
Bonus Items:
  • The full folder of vehicle maintenance records, original window sticker, original finance paperwork, lowjack packet, DMV inspections, and the latest full multi point inspection done by Porsche of North Scottsdale 4/9 are included.
  • A Porsche OEM cover featuring a logo in the front part is included with the vehicle. This cover has a few holes near but it is still holding pretty wheel. This cover generally retails for over $300+.
  • All original manuals, booklets, brochures, and Navigation DVD included.
  • Brand new Tow Hitch Cover, OEM Porsche original, never opened, never used. The vehicle currently has a black rubbery cover, so you can upgrade it with the silver Porsche logo cover if you desire.
  • Original Porsche OEM Sunscreen, features the Porsche logo, this is less than 6 months old and it comes with carrying pouch.

We purchased this vehicle from a couple in California (The original new owners of it) in 2013. Our expanding family needs dictate we consider a 3 bench SUV. Hate to see this fine vehicle in superb condition go.

I have posted 24 pictures (standard ebay maxes out at 24), but I have many more. I also posted pictures of some of the paperwork, including the very last dealer full inspection check from a few days ago.

Buyer to cover shipping costs of choice, I will gladly assist with this as needed. This vehicle is definitely worth your time to further inspect it, research it, etc.

Please check my 100% positive feedback on ebay since 2001. This is my vehicle (my wife's) and we are outright owners of it. The vehicle has a loan through the bank so we will be working with that bank and your bank as needed.

Questions Welcome.

Evo pits BMW M3 against Porsche Macan in drag battle

Sun, 24 Aug 2014

If you want to move five passengers in very rapid fashion and you've got a $75,000 budget, two newly introduced four-door models immediately come to mind - both are the highest performing vehicles in their respective segments. But which is faster off the line, to the 60-mile-per-hour benchmark or flat-out over an even longer run? Evo took both to paved aircraft runway to find out.
In lane one we've got the all-new Porsche Macan Turbo, which boasts a twin-turbocharged, 3.6-liter V6 rated at 400 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. The Porsche is fitted with a seven-speed, dual-clutch gearbox, and the 4,244-pound crossover has the traction advantage of standard all-wheel drive. In lane two is the all-new BMW M3, powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six rated at 425 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. It is also equipped with a seven-speed, dual-clutch gearbox, but only the rear wheels of the 3,595-pound sedan are driven. Both the BMW and Porsche arrive with launch control, which helps to remove driver error off the line.
Which automaker's launch control system is better off the line? Does all-wheel-drive grip give the crossover the advantage it needs to overcome its adversary's power-to-weight advantage? Will aerodynamics factor into the results? Which would you put in your garage, and why? The video may surprise you.

Hyundai, Porsche top J.D. Power APEAL study

Thu, Jul 24 2014

Just as they did in the Initial Quality Study, Porsche and Hyundai have taken the premium and non-premium crown, respectively, for the 2014 J.D. Power APEAL study. This is the tenth consecutive year for that Porsche has been rated the best premium make in the APEAL study, which attempts to figure out how pleased owners are with their purchases. For 2014, it asked 86,000 owners of MY2014 cars to rate their vehicles in 77 different categories 90 days after their initial purchase. The resulting figures were plugged in deliver the APEAL score, which is rated on a 1,000-point scale. The industry average sits at 794 points for 2014, although that's a one-percent decline over last year's rating. In this year's study, premium brands averaged 840 out of 1,000, while non-premium makes average 785. For their part, Porsche netted an impressive 882 points, while Hyundai earned an 804. Interestingly, only four non-premium brands (Hyundai, Ram, Volkswagen and Mini) finished above the industry average for 2014. It's also interesting to see the clear delineation between premium and non-premium brands, with an eight-point gap between the non-premium champ, Hyundai, and the lowest-rated premium brand, Volvo. Porsche and Hyundai weren't the only automakers to take home recognition. Dodge managed to tie Porsche for the most segment awards, with three. The Challenger, Charger and Dart all topped their market. There were a number of two-segment winners, as well, with Audi, Ford, Mercedes-Benz and Nissan capturing a pair of segments each. Scroll down for the full press release from JD Power on this year's winners. Automakers Struggle to Impress Owners with Increased Usefulness of In-Vehicle Technologies And Features on All-New and Redesigned Models Dodge and Porsche Each Receive Three Segment-Level Awards; Audi, Ford, Mercedes-Benz and Nissan Each Receive Two WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif.: 23 July 2014 - Although manufacturers are putting more and more technologies and functionality in their new and redesigned models, satisfaction with these features is not significantly higher among owners of those models than among owners of carryover models, according to the J.D. Power 2014 U.S. Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) StudySM released today. The APEAL Study, now in its 19th year, serves as the industry benchmark for new-vehicle appeal. Owners evaluate their vehicle across 77 attributes, which combine into an overall APEAL score that is measured on a 1,000-point scale.

Auto journalist ordered to pay big money for blowing up Porsche 917 engine [UPDATE]

Tue, 22 Jan 2013

Racecars blow engines all the time, but a Porsche 917 isn't just a run-of-the-mill racecar. British automotive writer Mark Hales reportedly borrowed a 917 from 82-year-old former Formula One racer David Piper for a magazine article, and mechanical tragedy ensued. Nobody is arguing that the engine failed after being spun to 8,200 rpm. However, Hales was warned not to exceed 7,000 rpm, says owner Piper, and the affair landed in English courts with Piper seeking £50,000 - over $79,000 US - in reimbursement funds for an engine rebuild and loss of use of the car while it was being repaired. Judge Simon Brown ruled in favor of car owner Piper, putting Hales on the hook for £110,000 ($174,000) including legal fees - a whole lot of money in any language.
Hales says the Porsche suffered a mechanical fault while lapping that allowed it to slip out of gear and over-rev. Piper wasn't convinced, and sought to have the repair paid for by the guy who broke the racer, saying "If you bend it, you mend it." It's not like Hales is a novice driver, having seat time in both professional and amateur races over 30 years, notching about 150 wins, but even the best drivers sometimes miss a shift, and that's what Piper contended happened to his car.
According to reports, Hales has had to sell most of his valuables to pay his lawyers and is now facing bankruptcy with the ruling against him. Members of the Pistonheads website are trying to coordinate a collection to help him out, as well.
