Repair? The car is not like most that will need scheduled maintenance, oil changes and such, it's virtually maintenance free. If and when needed is very easy as all parts can be purchased and installed easily. Netgain is a very old and proven company in the electric vehicle space. The Torq uses their Motor (Warp 9), Their 1400v controller and Vortex Lithium battery's that all are super reliable and any electric golf cart repair shop, or, EV conversion company (Many in the world) can fix anything that might come up. It's a real basic car when it comes right down to it. Rims, Tires, suspension... all can be purchased virtually anywhere since it was intended to be shipped and sold around the world. Most parts come from The Volkswagen golf and it has a BMW Transaxel from a Z3. Yes, a really simple electric car design is my point. If you are looking for all the comforts of most modern electric cars, the Torq's design platform was intended to appeal to the serious enthusiast. Light weight, performance that only the exotics can match, for hundreds of thousands less, and it gets "way more" attention! With a 1.3G Lateral handling, a blazing 0-60, and a simple low maintenance low repair cost. End result... Awesome!

Read what some have posted on message boards about this vehicle:

Well HELLO White!!! Track kit with extra air cooling installed to give this beast even more impressive performance With a 0-60mph in 4 seconds and 2X+ the Torque of a Tesla Roadster what color do I want? I hear the white body panels can be easily removed and wrapped in any color; Chrome, primers... or any pattern design you might like. I love this white!

612 lb-ft of TORQUE!!! More than twice that of the Tesla Roadster!!! They do call it the TORQ for a reason.

So the TORQ weighs in at about 2,200 pounds. That's nearly 600 pounds less than a Tesla Roadster and a whopping 2,600 pounds less than a Model S. So, although the Model S has comparable torque to the TORQ Roadster (430 lb/ft) it is pulling the same weight as two TORQ Roadsters *and* a sport bike combined.

The TORQ EV looks like a MONSTER side by side with a Tesla Roadster When do we get to see them race?!?

"Is this rear wheel drive?". In fact it is NOT. The TORQ is front wheel driven to keep the weight forward and your POWER on the road! To illustrate I snapped a picture of the electric motor in the front of the TORQ. Notice its almost at the nose and the differential is just behind it to drive the front wheels.

How many miles do you get on a single charge? I've been getting 80-90 miles per charge on most cycles but it REALLY depends on how you drive it. If it is a REALLY aggressive drive then you could see the range dip by 20% or more. But if you drive it like a minivan then you will get over 100 miles on a charge! I just proved 125 miles on a single charge.

How long does it take to charge? It's designed to accept both a 110v 3 prong home style plug, and the industry standard EV station 240v plug-in. It can be charged as quick as 6-8 hrs. on the 240v plug and about a full day on the standard household 110v plug. The Torq has a 3.2kw variable voltage charger and a battery management system (BMS)

Does it have a top? No, the Torq was not designed to have a top as they were targeting the hardcore buyer/collector/racer, they had not planned to market it to the buyer looking for their daily driver car but rather their 3rd. car. This is as close as I've seen and driven to being in an Indy F1 race car. The silent performance and open roadster design is breathtaking.

In this listing I had to use my 2005 BMW GS Vin # because I have yet to register the Torq with DMV. The Torq is classified and gets registered as a Motorcycle, not a car. Very easy to insure and much lower cost than most cars. I have the Manufactures Statement of Origin (MSO) so all you will need to do is take it to any state DMV.

So there you have it, that's all I can think about at the moment. If you have any question I can be reached at 310 863 0877

The White car is located in Marina Del Rey, CA, 10 minutes away from LAX airport. The others are down in San Diego. If serious and want a test drive, let me know.

Thanks for reading. Good Luck!

If you are looking for a generic Hybrid or EV like; Nissan Leaf, Toyota Prius, Chevy Volt or maybe a higher performance vehicle like; Spyker, Fisker, Tesla... The Torq will take you to a whole new level in EV performance and coolness. You will feel like a world famous race car driver, every time you take her out.
This is not related to the Porsche family but rather an electric street legal race car that is only similar because it is also, really special.

Weekly Recap: Bentley Bentayga leads luxury SUV charge at Frankfurt

Sat, Sep 12 2015

The Bentley Bentayga is launching a new era of ultra high-end sport utility vehicles that will see luxury makers vie for the world's richest and most exclusive customers. The Bentayga is Bentley's first SUV, and it will formally debut next week at the Frankfurt Motor Show. It's loaded with Bentley's best technology and features, led by a 600-horsepower W12 engine. The mission is simple: stop giving up sales to other companies by not having an SUV in its portfolio. "It creates an entirely new category of ultra-luxury SUV, where there are currently few rivals," IHS Automotive analyst Ian Fletcher said in a report. But Bentley and the Bentayga will soon face stiff competition. Archrival Rolls-Royce will produce its own crossover to be built in England, though timing is unclear. Lamborghini has approved plans for a ute that will be assembled in Italy and launch in 2018. Even the sportier British brands are getting into the market. Aston Martin will make a crossover version of the DBX concept shown earlier this year in Geneva, and Jaguar is launching the F-Pace crossover, which will debut in Frankfurt. These new entries will invigorate a segment that's comprised of the Mercedes G63 AMG and the Land Rover Range Rover SV Autobiography, and Bentley is poised to grab a large share of it, Fletcher noted. IHS forecasts Bentayga sales could hit 3,000 units per year in 2017 and 2018, pushing total Bentley sales to more than 10,000 in the next few years. The vehicle will also get plug-in hybrid and diesel variants to widen its reach. The Bentayga is a sales grab, for sure, but Bentley took care to ensure the SUV remained true to the brand. It's laden with the top-shelf wood, leather, and metal, and it comes standard with an expansive panoramic glass roof. It also has intelligent features like electronic night vision and an optional responsive off-road system that can be configured to adapt to eight different settings. It's a different kind of Bentley, but it's a harbinger of things to come for the world's richest luxury makers. Other News & Notes Toyota debuts next-gen Prius Toyota revealed the next-generation of its iconic fuel-sipping hybrid, the 2016 Prius, at an event in Las Vegas. The car promises 10-percent gains in fuel efficiency, though actual figures – and even powertrain specifics – were not revealed. We estimate that could mean about 56 miles per gallon in city driving and 53 on the highway.

Jay Leno puts carbon fiber wheels to the test on a Porsche 911 GT3 RS

Thu, 04 Sep 2014

Jay Leno's Garage usually focuses on looking at cars new and old, speaking to their owners and then Jay taking a drive to see what he thinks. However, Leno throws his usual shtick to the curb this week to do a full product test of the carbon fiber wheels from a company called Carbon Revolution. If you're not interested in hearing about wheels for 18 minutes, don't worry. They get mounted on a Porsche and are tested back-to-back with stock wheels, and Leno takes the 911 for a track test, too.
While carbon-fiber wheels aren't exactly a new idea, Carbon Revolution's goal is to create a lightweight, one-piece product that can be mass produced. The company even claims that it already has a deal with an OEM automaker to offer them on a vehicle in a few years. The key to the technology is that it doesn't need an expensive autoclave to be made.
In the meantime, the company's carbon fiber wheels are available as an aftermarket option for about $15,000 a set, according to the video. They weigh in at about 15.5 pounds each and offer OEM-levels of stiffness, so they could cut some unsprung mass off of a performance car. Watch here as Jay and his mechanic Bernard lap Willow Springs and give their feedback about what they think of this cutting-edge technology.

Porsche to only build next Panamera in Leipzig?

Sun, 06 Oct 2013

Manufacture of the next-generation Porsche Panamera could be moving, if a report from Reuters is true. The current-generation Panamera range has its bodies welded together and painted at a Volkswagen facility in Hanover before being shipped to Leipzig where final assembly takes place.
According to Reuters, Porsche is looking to cut VW out of the equation and focus production of the Panamera in Leipzig. While this could cost 800 of the 14,300 workers at Hanover their jobs, it's not entirely clear what Porsche stands to gain by the move. It recently invested 50- million euros (about $680 million at today's rates) on a paint and body shop for its Leipzig factory, ostensibly so the facility could have Macan production underway by that car's spring 2014 on-sale date. If the facility was also designed with next-generation Panamera production in mind, then Porsche's decision to put all of its eggs in one basket could make a lot of sense. It currently ships the semi-completed Panameras from Hanover to Leipzig, a distance of around 160 miles by road, and presumably it's a costly and time-consuming process.
The Leipzig factory produced 27,000 Panameras last year, although it's unclear just what its production capacity really is. Besides the Panamera and the upcoming Macan, the factory also builds the Porsche Cayenne.
