2000 Porsche Boxter on 2040-cars
Raleigh, North Carolina, United States
For Sale is a 20000 Boxter in very good condition. This Porsche runs and drives excellent with no issues.
Now for the real stuff 124,500 miles Regular service at European shop. Mechanically this car is in very good to excellent condition,The engine ,transmission and clutch work as they should with no issues,no check engine lights etc.Brakes are about 50-60%. Tires are 75-85% rear 50% front.Car drives like a dream.Just had oil change with Lubri Moly oil and filter. Ready for the long cruise.and summer fun The interior of this car is very good to great condition with normal wear. Seats have absolutely no rips or tears,Carpets are in very good condition with no stains or tears. There is normal wear on console and around door handles etc. All electronics work as they should. A/C blows nice and cold, heater work as it should but then again who cares about the heater? Spring is HERE!!!!!!! The exterior of the car is in good condition. the arctic silver paint shines nice however there are some flaws in the paint. There are minor scuffs and scratches as you would expect for a 14 year old car, There is NO major damage but pictures tend to show a car in a better light than it is.I am trying to describe this car as accurately as I can without making it sound like a POS. There are no big dents or anything like that just NORMAL wear. Okay so now for the BAD stuff:: The power top is now a Manual top,the right side transmission is in need of replacement as are 90% of the older Boxters. Takes literally 45 seconds to put top up or down manually and a 12 year old could do it. The top is in great condition but the back plastic window is starting to crack at the fold. One very small crack on both sides about 1/4 inch long The windshield has a scratch in it from the wiper arm. With all that being said This car is in very good condition overall and is going to sell to the first or last bidder. There is NO RESERVE on this car and I am starting the bidding at what a Wholesaler offered me for the car last week. The car is also listed for sale locally so I do reserve the right to end this auction without notice. I strongly urge anyone interested in this car to come look at it and test drive it or have someone inspect it for you BEFORE the auction ends as you are buying the car AS-IS WHERE-IS with NO WARRANTY expressed or implied. If you have any questions please contact me through Ebay or you can call me at 919-369-4311 and leave a message and I will call you back within 2 hours. Please keep in mind I am on EST. |

Porsche 918 Spyder pre-production version in all its almost-done glory
Sun, 18 Aug 2013Porsche continues the long tease of its upcoming 918 Spyder, with the latest instantiation here at the Pebble Beach Concours, with the car presented in pre-production form to the throngs on the golf course.
Just a few days ago Porsche dropped an image of the car on its official Twitter feed. True to that leak, this 918 looks damn near what we expect the full customer version to be when it is officially debuted in Frankfurt. The neon-green brake calipers are items new to this version of the 918, and seem to be an identical color to those found on the Panamera S E-Hybrid.
When it shows up as a drivable piece, expect the Porsche supercar, with its gasoline-electric drivetrain, to be pretty insane. Horsepower in excess of 800 ponies will be available with a toe-tap, while the price of entry is expected to come within shouting distance of $850,000. A good deal for Porsche to bring the thing to Pebble then, where buyers with that kind of cash are think on the ground (and most likely wearing sherbet-colored trousers).
Porsche 911 Cabriolet refresh may hide new engine
Wed, 22 Jan 2014If we learned nothing else from our recent frolic through Porsche's secret museum, it's that the automaker goes to incredible lengths to disguise future products during initial testing. Just as a number of cars in that Stuttgart bunker hid the true identity of developmental mules (like the Audi-V8-powered 911), such could very well be the case with these spy shots showing what, on the surface, appears to be simply a facelifted 991 911 Cabriolet.
Similar to what we saw last month on a 911 coupe, this Cabriolet has obvious styling modifications made to the front and rear fascias suggesting that the 911's still-fresh appearance is already set to get a few tweaks. The big news here is at the rear of the car. The additional vents on the lower edge of the fascia and the mocked-up vent above the engine leads our spy photographer to believe that a new engine could be tucked under the body work - likely a smaller-displacement, turbocharged flat-six focusing more on improving fuel efficiency and reducing exhaust emissions rather than performance.
We last heard rumblings of such a detuned 911 back in August, but could this be our first look at said new model? Have a look for yourself, and let us know what you think - either about this mule specifically or the idea of a "green" 911, in Comments below.
This FL man accused of stealing drivers licenses has best tattoo ever
Thu, 10 Jul 2014Bentley and Porsche are two of the jewels in Volkswagen Group's luxury brand crown, but in Florida they also have a very tenuous connection with crime. With his multiple face and neck tattoos, including a Bentley logo right between his eyes, Derek Denesevich (pictured above) has been charged with the surprising crime of alleged identity theft. He recently surrendered to a Florida court, and could face seven years in prison, if convicted.
You might wonder where Porsche fits into this. According to the Sun Sentinel, Denesevich's accomplice was one Porscha Kyles, who worked for the Broward Clerk of Courts. She allegedly used her access to driver's license records to steal information and sell it to Denesevich. He is then accused of filing fraudulent income taxes to recoup the refund checks.
According to the Sentinel, Kyles has already pleaded guilty to conspiracy and identity theft and was sentenced to three years and one day in prison. The duo reportedly stole over 100 identities and made at least $120,000. Scroll down for a video about this pair of auto-related criminals.
