2000 Porsche Boxster Roadster S Convertible 2-door 3.2l on 2040-cars
Tucson, Arizona, United States
This is a three
owner 2000 Boxster S. All books and records. THIS CAR WAS OVERHEATED AND IT IS
NOW TRANSFERRING OIL INTO THE COOLANT. I have put 900 miles on it since the
incident and changed the oil twice. The engine runs fine and does not overheat. Everything about this car
functions perfectly. There is $21,000 worth of receipts in the file. All
maintenance work and repairs shown were performed by Porsche authorize dealers.
It is equipped with XM radio and the premium Porsche sound package along with a
set of 2014 Boxster S 18" wheels with Mitchlen tires. The car is also equipped with a short shift kit and a custom rear trunk
lid spoiler along with lower rocker panels with scoops. The paint on this car
is very nice. Very minor small chips so small I'm not even sure where they
are.. It was also has a protective 3M type film on the front end of the car.

1974 Porsche 914 EV conversion still looks good
Thu, Jan 23 2014Looking through the pages of the EV Album is a great way to learn about the breadth and depth of the electric vehicle community. Branching well beyond the three dozen or so electric vehicles that are currently sold by major automakers in the US, EV Album showcases lots of DIY conversions of all types. A 1995 Fiat Cinquecento? Check. A 1992 Kewet Eljet 2? No problem. The site's old-fashioned looks (it was started in 1997) show just how long people have been passionate about their EVs. Many of the cars are throwbacks to a previous time and we found a prime example of that, a converted 1974 Porsche 914 (EV Album page here) this week. Now powered by a Prestolite MTC4001 Series Wound DC motor and some flooded nickel-cadmium batteries, the 914 has a top speed of 80 miles per hour and a range of 35 miles. But only "if you are taking it easy," of course. The motor has a peak output of 60 horsepower and 25 hp continuous. Converted over 600 hours (!) to electric power at a cost of $10,000, it is now owned by Charlie Garlow of Maryland. The car is on display at the Washington Auto Show this week and serves as a great reminder of what most EV drivers used to have to do to drive emissions free. 2015 Porsche Cayenne S
Tue, 23 Sep 2014Oh, Porsche.
Just as the dust settles over the 911 GT3's no manual gearbox kerfuffle, the Germans have gone and yanked the yummy naturally aspirated 4.8-liter V8 from the Cayenne S and replaced it with a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6. Is nothing sacred in Porscheland?
Perhaps not... but that's not necessarily a bad thing. After all, Porsche famously once said they'd never build a diesel, but when they did, it was actually rather stellar.
