About the car The car is a beautiful red 1999 Porsche Boxster with 77,532 miles and a 5 speed manual. I am the second owner of this Porsche and it has been garaged kept and only driven on the sunniest of days since I have owned it. The car runs great and handles like you wouldn’t believe. It has the Michelin Pilot sport tire (the best you can get) on all four rims. They were just added 2 years ago and have less than 10,000 miles. I have detailed the car every year and kept it under a Noha wolfe indoor/outdoor car cover which is included with the car. The leather seats show very little wear and the Porsche floor mats have never been in the car. I also have the hard top which is rare for this car. (pictures included) There is some wear and tear that you must be aware of. The shifter has worn leather, some wheels have wear, a small nick on the door handle, and there is a check engine light that is on. I have included pictures of everything so you can see. The check engine light is for a sensor for the O2 sensor. I have an invoice that will show that is cost $1700 to fix. THIS CAR HAS A CLEAN CARFAX HISTORY. I have included pictures of everything so you can see. The check engine light is for a sensor for the O2 sensor. I have an invoice that will show that is cost $1700 to fix. The only reason I am selling this vehicle is because the stiff suspension has started hurting my back to drive. I recently hurt my back lifting things and since then it has become hard to drive for me. It really tears me a part to get rid of my baby but it needs to go to someone who can enjoy driving it as much as I have. There are a lot more pictures if you want I can email them to you. Please don’t be bothered by my low ebay number, I don’t use it much at all. I am 100% upfront and honest, if you have a question please let me know. Happy Bidding! |

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class leads this month's list of discounts
Mon, Jul 19 2021Like last month, the biggest discounts car buyers will find on new vehicles are all applied to expensive luxury sedans. Unlike last month when there were two, there isn't a single Rolls-Royce to be found anywhere in the top five. Sorry, one-percenters. But just because the pinnacle of European luxury isn't represented doesn't mean there aren't big discounts to be found on lovely luxury sedans. In fact, this month's list is led by the 2020 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, a technological wonder that coddles its driver and passengers with all the bells and whistles the German brand has to offer. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class is offered in many shapes and sizes with several powertrain options. That means there will be a huge variance in prices across the model range, but on average, 2020 S-Class buyers are seeing $11,803 lopped off the car's $109,447 sticker price, leaving an average transaction price of $97,644. That's a savings of nearly 11%. It's worth noting that there's a new S-Class for 2021, but the 2020 edition is still a lovely machine. Up next is the Porsche Taycan, sitting in second place just like it did last month. Buyers are seeing average sticker prices of $125,736 but are paying $113,938. That's a savings of $11,798 — or about 9.4% — off the price on the window sticker. As was the case last month, we're not sure how many of the Taycan's buyers will be able to claim tax rebates due to the Taycan's status as an electric vehicle, but that could potentially represent a further cut off the car's sticker. Rounding out the top three for the month of July is the Maserati Ghibli. With an average discount of $10,161 that represents a whopping 14.3% of the car's sticker price, this Italian luxury sedan actually leads the list of vehicle discounts when ranked by percentage. And if you're a Maserati fan but the Ghibli isn't your cup of espresso, the Levante crossover and larger Quattroporte sedan are also seeing very large discounts. 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder: Touring the factory
Wed, Dec 3 2014Willy Wonka granted just five lucky Golden Ticket holders access to his incredible chocolate factory, yet we consider ourselves just as fortunate, as Porsche invited us to be among the first of just four American journalists to see behind the closed doors of its 918 Spyder assembly plant in Zuffenhausen, Germany. Of course, there were no Oompa Loompas or flowing chocolate rivers, but the vast white hall tasked with producing only 918 examples of the automaker's limited-production flagship revealed details that make Wonka's Golden Egg sorting room seem rather mundane in comparison. Unlike a traditional automobile manufacturing plant, which often encompass all processes of making a vehicle (e.g., stamping steel panels, welding components and painting), the 918 Spyder is built in an assembly plant. This means that hundreds of already manufactured parts, each crafted by Porsche offsite suppliers, are brought under one roof to be assembled into a perfectly finished product that is much sweeter – and far more expensive – than any candy delicacy. Our tour guide was Michael Drolshagen, Porsche's Director of Production, Logistics and Quality - a walking encyclopedia when it comes to the engineering and assembly of the 918 Spyder. Drolshagen generously offered us unrestricted access to walk among the factory's 110 workers – and a couple-dozen vehicles in process – to photograph everything. This is a story best told with pictures, so we've put together a raft of our best images in a high-resolution gallery and captioned each with a detailed description. If you've still got questions, please voice them in Comments section and we'll do our best to answer.
