1990 Porsche 944 S2 .. with lots of extras. Very fresh motor, acquired from Black Water Racing in NC. Owner with 40 years experience said it was like it was in a time capsule! As it still had the cosmoline packing grease still on the bottom of the motor. Known in my and his experience to be gone by 25-30,000 miles. All belts have been replaced on the motor, including timing belt. K&N air filter with recharger kit. New cruise control blinker switch. New struts mounts, struts, new rotors, new brakes, new shocks, all bushings in shifting linkage machined new. Shifting into 2nd gear has to be done slow, seems the synchro is out. Clutch and all accessories replaced in the last two years. $1300 stereo system with Pioneer head, Bazooka tubes and all around new speakers one year old. Has tears in both front seats. Dash has few cracks. All buttons and visor clips replaced. Has new sunroof gears and motors less than one year old. Restoring this car I car started from the suspension up, doing it the correct way. Now we have a baby on the way! So priorities have changed and now you have the opportunity to get a mechanically sound S2 with a super solid foundation that just needs some cosmetic touches and she'll be complete! Volkswagen Group previews its wares on eve of Geneva show
Mon, 05 Mar 2012The Volkswagen Group is comprised of 11 brands producing 240 vehicles across 49 factories throughout the world. So the best way to show off the range of the VW family is to cram a few thousand journalists and VIPs into a massive makeshift stand to outline the Group's goals, what's in the pipeline and what you'll be able to buy later this year.
To that end, VW pulled out all the stops on the eve of the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, bringing along 10 vehicles from across the range. We'll be delving into the details of each over the next two days of show coverage, but before that happens, you can read all about what we saw tonight from the cheap seats after the break.

Touring Italy in a classic Porsche will have you feeling continental
Wed, 13 Nov 2013It's hard to believe there was a time when a Porsche 911 didn't come to market with 400 horsepower. But as the latest video from Petrolicious reminds us, with this video of a 1968 911T, owned by Donato Maniscalco, that time wasn't so long ago.
You might think, being a distinguished man living in Italy, Maniscalco would be more enthused by a Ferrari, Maserati, or Lamborghini, but in reality, it was always Porsche that enamored the Italian as a boy. And it was that passion that led him to purchase the glorious 911T he's seen tossing about in this video.
Maniscalco goes into detail about what makes the old 911 such a legend, while also mentioning how he and the car participate in classic rallies and races. There's also some typically beautiful footage of the Italian countryside, as well. So take a look below for the latest video from Petrolicious.
