For Sale is a 1989 Porsche 944 S2.  This is the first year of the S2 model which boasts a large and powerful, naturally aspirated 3.0 liter engine with the wide body kit. This model is a 2 door coupe with a removable moon roof.  Its exterior is Baltic blue with a light tan interior.  It has a short throw 5 speed manual transmission.  The car drives, rides and handles great with a near perfect 51/49 weight ratio.  This is a clean and well maintained 944 S2.  I have invested a lot time and money into replacing the mechanicals and electricals on this Porsche...everything works!

Below I have listed all the features of the car

This 1989 S2 comes equipped with power/removable moon roof, power mirrors, power rear wiper, factory alarm, power driver and passenger seats, digital clock with stop watch, cruise control, A/C, rear defrost, running lights, fog lights.  New pioneer speakers and head unit with mp3 compatibility.  All switches, buttons, motors and computer lights work!  The car is also equipped with a K&N Cold air intake system and FOX racing Chip.

Below I have listed the upgraded and replaced parts

At 75k miles New:

Timing belt, Tension Rod, Tension rollers and Belt tensioner, Windshield, Hella H4 headlights

At 127K miles New:

Clutch, Clutch plate, Resurfaced flywheel and Pilot bearings, R134 A/C unit

At 132K miles New:

Engine molding covers, Battery, Speedometer, Axel Seals, Ball joints on all four wheels, 4 DRT slotted and drilled rotors, Clutch master slave cylinder and sleeve,  Kevlar heavy duty oil lines, Control arms, All 3 motor mounts, Shifter bushings, Rear wiper assembly, Spindles, Radiator and radiator hoses, Head gasket, Engine cleaning and compression check, 4 Wheel alignment and balancing, Koni adjustable front shocks, Koni rear struts.

I always get thumbs up when driving this Porsche. This is an iconic 944S2 that will reach classic status next year. I love the car but I am moving and will not have space for her.  Please feel free to email me with any questions or if you would like more pictures of the vehicle.  If a shipping company is used, I will assist in the pick up and loading procedure.

The Car is in great shape for being 24 years old BUT... The dash has some cracks and the drivers seat has some wear.  The body does need some work to make it perfect.  Please see the pictures below

2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S

Wed, 04 Sep 2013

A Wicked-Fast Street Legal Multi-Tool
Walter Röhrl was carving up the circuit in the Porsche 911 Turbo S like a skilled Jedi Master - and I was sitting next to him, mesmerized by the breathtaking show. I had strapped myself securely into the front passenger bucket of the all-new coupe less than a minute earlier, expecting nothing more than a few quick laps around a track at the hands of another celebrated race driver. Been there, done that. Many times, actually.
Yet this was different. Röhrl was not only calculated and methodical in his approach, but his rally-tuned cerebrum appeared to be actively reading available grip levels while effortlessly tossing the all-wheel-drive Porsche into each corner at gut-wrenching speeds. His hands were moving rapidly, sending tiny steering corrections to the front tires, and he was using every inch of the track to extract more speed. We launched over a curb, dropped a wheel in the dirt and then drifted around a wide off-camber turn. His human precision and focus was astounding, and the performance he was extracting from the machine was just short of breathtaking.

On Broughams and Alfas | Autoblog Podcast #501

Fri, Jan 27 2017

On this week's podcast, Mike Austin and David Gluckman discuss the odd history of the oft-recycled Brougham name. (Did you know some people pronounce it "broom" and they're not wrong?) There is of course discussion of what they've been driving lately, and things wrap up with Spend My (Your) Money buying advice to help you, our dear listeners. The rundown is below. Remember, if you have a car-related question you'd like us to answer or you want buying advice of your very own, send a message or a voice memo to podcast at autoblog dot com. (If you record audio of a question with your phone and get it to us, you could hear your very own voice on the podcast. Neat, right?) And if you have other questions or comments, please send those too. Autoblog Podcast #501 The video meant to be presented here is no longer available. Sorry for the inconvenience. Porsche planning Cayman GT4, 700-hp Turbo S e-Hybrids

Fri, May 9 2014

The old wisdom when it came to the Porsche lineup was that the Boxster and Cayman needed to be kept in line so as not to encroach on even the lower end of the 911 range. But with the latest versions of the compact roadster and coupe, that logic has gone out the window. Especially with the introduction of the latest GTS models (pictured above). But that's not the end of the story. According to Motor Trend, Porsche is working on an even more powerful version of the Cayman that could carry the GT4 badge, positioning itself along the same lines as the 911 GT3 and GT2 – only, you know, smaller. Although our sources at Porsche would, predictably, neither confirm nor deny the report, MT has it that power could come from either a turbo-four or a more powerful flat-six, mated to the beefed-up DCT from the latest 911 GT3. A similar version of the Boxster could bring back the RS Spyder designation. That's not all Porsche is said to have in store, though. Based on the engineering that went into the 918 Spyder, Porsche could roll out a new range-topping model for the 911, Panamera and maybe even the Cayenne, packing a version of the 918's PHEV powertrain. Slotting in above the existing Turbo S variants of each model line, the new flagship models could pack 700 horsepower or more and be designated e-Hybrid in similar fashion as the 918.
