Great car. New timing belt, and water pump and pulley. Gets a lot of looks going down the road, in town and in parking lots. People often confuse it with a Ferrari or just don't know what kind of car it is. Probably one of the best designed cars ever made. Has 50/50 weight distribution and is one of the top best handling cars ever made. It was the first car to ever have dual air bags and the 3.0 liter engine was the biggest non turbo normally aspirated gas engine made for a long time and may still be. Engine cylinders are a massibe .75 liters per cylinder. I have another one of these cars in a 1990 model year and I bought this one for the engine but felt bad parting it out so am selling it as a whole running car. There were only a few of these made in 1991 in convertible and in white. This was the last year they made any 944. The white I have been told is more rare to come across and in the last year made. As mentioned in the section about condition description, the body has a few dings and marks on it. Interior has some worn leather on front seats. Needs a few interior knobs on center consul. I just don't have the time to spend on it. I purchased this car to put the engine in my other 944s2 cab but felt bad parting it out since it runs and drives and is in as good condition as it is so I am selling it. Tires are average condition but could use replacing down the road. They do not leak air at all. Engine is very very clean according to mechanic. He said he was very impressed with the engine and how clean it was under neath and inside the engine. If you think of any thing else I can answer, let me know. I just don't need 2 of these cars. Look forward to your questions and if you want me to post another picture of something, let me know.

New J.D. Power Initial Quality Study puts Porsche, GM in spotlight
Wed, 19 Jun 2013J.D. Power and Associates has released its annual Initial Quality Study, and this year, Porsche and General Motors took the spotlight. The study, which asks new car owners to report problems experienced during the first 90 days of ownership, found that overall, the industry averages 113 problems per 100 vehicles.
Porsche managed a score of just 80 problems per 100 vehicles, while GMC took the second spot on the podium with 90. Lexus filled out the top three with 94 problems per 100 vehicles, followed by Infiniti at 95 and Chevrolet at 97. The study also looks at specific models, and found the Lexus LS to enjoy the best initial quality at 59 problems per 100 vehicles.
Interestingly enough, the report found that around two-thirds of most owner problems experienced in the first 90 days are attributable to vehicle design instead of mechanical failure. Specifically - echoing a refrain we've been hearing for the last few years - owners are having a hard time figuring out how to use the technology present in their new vehicles. Head over to the J.D. Power site for more information, or scroll down below for the company's related press release.
Porsche Australia racing chief dies in crash
Wed, Dec 10 2014The motor racing community in Australia was saddened today to learn of the passing of Jamey Blaikie, a longtime racing administrator and former motorsport director for Porsche in Australia. A former racing driver in his own right, Blaikie was better known for his instrumental role in starting the Porsche Carrera Cup in Australia back in 2003. He left Porsche Cars Australia just last year to pursue other interests, including running an Aston Martin entry in the GT Asia series. Blaikie was in Fiji reportedly undertaking charity work there when his rental car collided with a truck, prematurely ending his life at just 52 years old. Our condolences go out to his family, friends and the motorsport community Down Under, where he'll surely be missed.
Best compact SUVs of 2022
Thu, Oct 20 2022Compact SUVs are now the go-to choice for family transportation. Actually, considering how popular they are, they have clearly moved beyond only family duty. With such popularity, though, comes an awful lot of competitors, and it can be difficult to figure out which one might be the best compact SUV for you. It's important to note that by "compact SUV" we're talking about a specific segment. As we describe in our more comprehensive "Best small SUVs" list, there are also subcompact SUVs that vary widely in size amongst themselves, but are clearly smaller than the SUVs below. Frankly, today's segment of compact SUVs isn't exactly compact — some have more cargo space than vehicles that are considered midsize based on their exterior dimensions. They've all grown considerably over the years. While many lists out there just rattle off every vehicle available in a segment, we thought we'd be a bit more helpful and curate your shopping a bit with the top-recommended choices reviewed by Autoblog. We've included both mainstream and compact luxury SUV choices. Best compact SUVs of 2023 and 2024 2024 Honda CR-V Why it stands out: Best-in-class space; excellent hybrid powertrain; sharp interior style; Honda dependabilityCould be better: No lower-price base trim levels; no sporty or off-road niche models; no plug-in hybrid Read our full 2024 Honda CR-V Review Consider the CR-V the baseline for any compact SUV search, and look extra closely at the superb CR-V Hybrid option. Objectively speaking, it's tough to beat due to its massive cargo capacity, voluminous back seat, strong-yet-efficient engines, well-balanced driving dynamics, competitive pricing and features, and well-regarded reliability. It's easy to see why it continues to be such a best-seller: for the vast majority of compact SUV buyers, and especially families, it checks every box. That's been the case for many years now, however. The all-new 2023 Honda CR-V changes things up by adding a bit more style and character, particularly in terms of its interior design and how surprisingly enjoyable the Sport and Sport Touring hybrid trim levels are to drive.
