I am selling a beautiful 1990 Porsche 944 S2 Cabriolet with only 64,000 original miles. Great color combination of black on black. Clean CarFax. This has been my garage queen but the second baby has made it time to go. The overall condition of the car is outstanding. Exterior paint is brilliant after 23 years; leather seats are in great shape. Convertible top is in excellent condition but the plastic rear window is getting cloudy. Car comes with convertible boot cover. I also have a full Porsche car cover. Wheels are in excellent shape; tires have 30% wear remaining. Owner manual and relevant books are included. There are a few minor dings and blemishes that you would expect for a car of this vintage. The safety belt light remains lit on dash when seat belt is engaged. The 3.0L engine runs strong and the 5 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly throughout the gears. If you have ever thought about owning a Porsche this car could be the one you should buy. Known for their reliability and great value, the Porsche 944 has a proven track record on and off the course.
I have tried to describe the car as best as I can but it is the sole responsibility of the buyer to inspect the car and be satisfied as to it's condition and value prior to bidding. Please call or email if you have any questions before bidding. I can be reached at 410-458-5293. I am selling this car "as is, where is" with no expressed or implied warranties. Also I reserve the right to terminate this bid at any time if the car is sold locally. All shipping and handling will be the responsibility of the buyer. If you are the winning bidder, I ask for a $500 deposit into my PayPal account within 48 hours of winning the bid. If for any reason you do not deposit the money within 48 hours, I will assume you are reneging on your obligation to complete the sale and I reserve the right to sell the car to the next highest bidder. I have set a low reserve for this car so only bid if you seriously want to own this car. Good luck on being the successful bidder. Thanks for your interest.

Cadillac Celestiq and Honda Civic Type R revealed | Autoblog Podcast #740
Fri, Jul 29 2022In this episode of the Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Senior Editor, Green, John Beltz Snyder. They kick things off by talking about the latest vehicle reveals, specifically the Cadillac Celestiq show car and the 2023 Honda Civic Type R. They discuss Chevy's move to offer incentives to help prevent customers from flipping the new Corvette Z06. Greg has spent time behind the wheel of the 2022 Range Rover First Edition, while John has been driving the 2023 Genesis GV60 Performance. From the mailbag, a listener is looking to replace a 2003 Subaru Forester with something that can hold three dog crates and gets decent fuel economy. Another listener asks whether to keep a 2008 Porsche 911 Turbo or replace it with a 992-generation 911 for which he is awaiting an allocation. Watch this Koenigsegg CCX hit 211 mph on a runway, outpacing McLaren's P1
Tue, 03 Jun 2014Vmax200 in in England organizes events where those who care to show up with a supercar can run them down the two-mile runway at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground. Evo attended the latest event, bringing an impressively green Lamborghini Aventador to test its girth and gaping vents against other precious metals like the McLaren P1 and F1, Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and Enzo, a Porsche Carrera GT and enough 911 Turbos to start a dealership. Speaking of those Porsches, nine of the top ten slots in the top speed competition are claimed by modified 911 Turbos.
A monochrome Swede ruled them all, though, a black-and-white Koenigsegg CCX setting fire to the speed trap run after run, hitting 211 miles per hour at its quickest. It was followed by, surprise, a 911 GT2 modified by 9E that did 210 mph. You can watch the EVO video below, GT Spirit has a bigger breakdown of the day, and we've included another vid showing the tandem launch of the CCX and McLaren F1.
Porsche 918 Spyder with Weissach package does 0-62 mph in 2.6 seconds
Mon, 18 Nov 2013Porsche marketers are having a field day with the 918 Spyder after some last-minute tuning improved the car's performance. They now say that it's so fast it's already beaten itself. Let us explain: Using a Weissach package-equipped 918 as an example (which reduces the plug-in hybrid supercar's weight through the deletion of some interior items, more generous use of carbon fiber and magnesium wheels), the car's previous official 0-62 miles-per-hour time of 2.8 seconds has been cut to 2.6. Additionally, 0-124 mph takes 7.2 seconds and 0-186 mph is dispatched in 19.9 seconds, times that were reduced by half a second and 2.1 seconds, respectively.
In all-electric mode, a non-Weissach pack 918 does 0-62 mph in 6.2 seconds (with the package, 6.1 seconds), down from 6.9 seconds. Efficiency is also improved thanks to the final tuning. The New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) rating of a Weissach pack-equipped car equates to 94 miles per gallon, up three mpg compared to before. That's pretty good for a car with 887 horsepower!
Check out the press release below for more details on how Porsche's final tuning measures improved its flagship supercar.
