This very rare, (only 36 made in this color worldwide) first year, certified 1988 Turbo S is offered WITHOUT reserve. It is time to sell this car.
The car although heavy on miles was diligently restored. The paint is perfect, done while I owned the car, 6 years ago. All surfaces were sanded and inspected. No rust was found.. The interior is a 8.5 out of 10. The engine and drive train is perfect. Most records are available. I am the third owner. The car is 100% garage kept, never driven in the rain, and has always lived in Florida. No snow, no salt or corrosives. There is no rust. All features work.
Clutch has 13,000 miles on it. The timing belt and water pump only 6,000 miles. The fuel system was completely replaced and the injectors ultrasonically cleaned and calibrated. The valves were done by Albert Proudfoot in Jacksonville Florida, 10,000 miles back. The turbo is making full boost.
This car is very fast and nimble. It is bone stock, except for the turbo twist wheels. I do not have any other wheels.
What does the car need? Tires are not great, and the brakes are going to need to be replaced soon. Otherwise, drive it away and enjoy!

Top Gear brings together LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918

Mon, Jan 26 2015

Earlier this month, Top Gear released a brief video of the comparison test between three hybrid hypercars we'd all been waiting for: the Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder. The story was done by the print magazine and not by the television show, and the video they released was barely over half a minute long, reserving the full version for subscribers of the iPad edition. Now the British mag has put the full video on YouTube, and while it's still only a minute and a half long – three times the length of the previous teaser – it's packed with electrified exotic goodness. The test surely took some serious wrangling to put together, and though the metal (or carbon fiber, as the case may be) was apparently furnished mostly by private owners, to hear Top Gear tell it, the manufacturers – Ferrari, McLaren and Porsche – were eager and helpful in putting the showdown together. For the final conclusions, we're afraid you'll still have to buy the magazine, but for a rare chance to watch all these three world-beaters on the same road at the same time, you'll want to scope out this latest video clip. The 2013 Rolex 24-hour race at Daytona comes down to the last hour [spoilers, w/video]

Mon, 28 Jan 2013

It took 24 hours to run the race, but it was the last one was stuffed with the high action as four cars were still trying to figure out how to gain victory on the track and in the pits. Along with the obligatory crashes, spins, mechanical issues and retirements had come numerous penalties, a double-digit number of full-course yellows and two hours of fog that turned early Sunday morning into a stretch of parade laps.
The final hour would make up for the morning - drivers who might have been happy just to get on the podium had a shot at victory as the end of the race approached, and that turned into a few gambles that paid off, and at least one that didn't...

2014 Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S debut [w/video]

Fri, 03 May 2013

The Turbo S will dispatch the Nürburgring in "well under seven and a half minutes."
Porsche is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its 911 Turbo in the best possible way: by announcing the next-generation of the rear-engined beast. The 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S are here, and man oh man, do they seem like the business.
