I am selling my Beautiful 1987 Porsche. This is a unique 944 because it has it's sought after Black interior on black exterior and also comes with a 5 speed manual. I went with the supercharger because the turbo charged 944s that ive driven in the past had massive turbo lag and i hate that very much. This car is very fast and everything happens instantly, without lag ofcourse..  It has been very well maintained and cared for as you can see from the pictures provided. I posted this car over the christmas holidays and had alot of offers but i had a change of heart and decided not to sell. I have grown attached to this car but i am not able to keep it due to my garage being full with more expensive cars in my collection. I am ready to move on and see this car go to someone that will continue to take care of it like i did. I am posting it at a lower price to attract serious inquires. Feel free to email me if you have any questions about the car and or to negotiate your offer. Thanks and good luck.

I recently reduced the price to even further encourage serious buyers. My lost, your gain...

Porsche Cayenne, Panamera production halted by flooding

Thu, 06 Jun 2013

If you recently ordered a Porsche Cayenne or a Panamera, delivery may take a little longer than originally expected. Automotive News reports that production of both models has been temporarily halted at the Porsche assembly plant in Leipzig, Germany as the result of supply shortages caused by flooding in the nearby Czech Republic. The reason for the stoppage is that the body of the Cayenne - currently Porsche's best-selling model - is produced at a Volkswagen plant in the Czech city of Bratislava and shipped by train to Leipzig.
The report does not indicate why Panamera production has been stopped - that the five-door's body is made at a separate location in Hanover, Germany. However pre-assembly will continue on these models. At full capacity, the Leipzig plant can produce about 450 vehicles per day, and it isn't clear how long this weather-related stoppage will last.

1949 Gm?nd Porsche shows the birth of an icon

Fri, 21 Mar 2014

The Austrian village of Gmünd is more than just difficult to pronounce; it's also the birthplace of the Porsche brand. Before the company ever started building sports cars at its current home base near Stuttgart, the fledgling business completed several vehicles in the tiny town in Southern Austria. In this video, former Pikes Peak International Hill Climb champion Jeff Zwart takes a look at a 1949 Gmünd coupe to see how the company has evolved since its earliest days.
The thing to note about the Gmünd-built Porsches is their absolute design simplicity. The phrase "form follows function" gets bandied around a lot, but it really means something when you look at these early cars. However, the minimalism was partially out of necessity. The vehicles were meant to be sporty but certainly weren't rockets. Power came courtesy of a modified Volkswagen Beetle engine, and anything extraneous would have slowed the models down. Scroll down to watch Zwart go back in time to Porsche's beginnings.

Remembering Porsche's illustrious Le Mans history

Fri, 13 Jun 2014

Not only does this weekend mark the running of the 82nd 24 Hours of Le Mans, it will also see the return of one of the race's most venerable brands to the top tiers of endurance racing. Porsche will campaign its first top-flight car since the 1998 911 GT1-98, the 919 Hybrid, at this weekend's race, in the hopes of knocking off its corporate rival, the dominant Audi team.
To understand just what a win for the 919 would mean, though, you need to look back on the intrinsic connection between the Circuit de la Sarthe and Porsche. It's a history that spans decades, dating back to the team's first win in 1970.
XCar has a great video on that history. At 25 minutes, it's a bit on the long side. Then again it is the Friday before Le Mans. Take a look below for the video.
