1987 944 2.5L N/A. 145,000 miles. This is the best running car i have ever owned. it doesn't leak a drop of anything. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it to California and back. Actually I just did a 500 mile mountain run in it a couple weeks ago. Not one hiccup. And unlike most 944's this car has NEVER been rebuilt due to water pump/timing belt neglect. It has been serviced professionally by Jim Strutherland at JTS Motorsports since I have owned it and the owner before me had it serviced at Hendrick Porsche the entire time he owned it. Had it painted about a year ago. this car handles like a dream. You wont find a better 944 out there. only reason Im selling is Im looking for something RHD and RWD. I'm willing to trade and can put cash on top.
Good -
Tires on both wheels still have 90% life left in them.
Full Koni Suspention - $7k
Aftermarket Swaybars - $3k
Genuine Porsche Clutch - $3k - Has a little over 10k miles on it.
Boxer turbo wheels are on it now, you will get the originals with it too
Momo Steering wheel - $350 - original one goes with it too
All new steering parts, control arms, etc
full leather interior in great shape with some seat wear- EXTREMELY rare
Countless parts have been replaced around the car and under the hood with genuine Porsche parts.
i know there's more im forgetting.
Bad -
No A/C. Put a main seal in it but it still leaks some. lasted about a month and a half when i charged it last summer.
Small bad place in drivers seat from getting in and out.
Rip in passenger seat where your butt sits.
rear seat has 2 small rips. see pics
cracks in dash.
the mount that holds the hazard light switch is broken. - $40 for the new piece from Porsche. still has the switch and it still works fine, just a small crack.
i have 90% of the reciepts for the work done. ive lost a few but ill try and find them if you really want them. i will be more than happy to meet you somewhere to get an evaluation on it before you buy if you like.

Porsche Cayman GT4 spotted at the N?rburgring
Tue, 13 May 2014It was just the other day that we first caught wind of Porsche's plans to build a GT4 version of the Cayman, and now we're already looking at spy shots of the vehicle in question undergoing testing at - where else? - the Nürburgring.
With more aggressive front-end aero, a GT3-style air vent ahead of the front hood, a large wing at the back, and spindly alloys packed with over-sized brakes at each corner, this Cayman is clearly more extreme than even the range-topping GTS. The rear diffuser and central exhaust tips look about the same as those you'd find at the back of the Cayman GTS, though.
What we can't see, of course, is what Porsche has slotted in under the rear glass, how it's upgraded the interior and how much weight it's stripped out of the thing to get it down to fighting weight, but you can bet it'll come with a substantial power bump and a stripped-out interior with racing buckets and little else to open the gap between it and the GTS... and close the gap to the 911 GT3 which it will join as the baby brother in Porsche's performance-focused lineup. NHTSA, IIHS, and 20 automakers to make auto braking standard by 2022
Thu, Mar 17 2016The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and virtually every automaker in the US domestic market have announced a pact to make automatic emergency braking standard by 2022. Here's the full rundown of companies involved: BMW, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo (not to mention the brands that fall under each automaker's respective umbrella). Like we reported yesterday, AEB will be as ubiquitous in the future as traction and stability control are today. But the thing to note here is that this is not a governmental mandate. It's truly an agreement between automakers and the government, a fact that NHTSA claims will lead to widespread adoption three years sooner than a formal rule. That fact in itself should prevent up to 28,000 crashes and 12,000 injuries. The agreement will come into effect in two waves. For the majority of vehicles on the road – those with gross vehicle weights below 8,500 pounds – AEB will need to be standard equipment by September 1, 2022. Vehicles between 8,501 and 10,000 pounds will have an extra three years to offer AEB. "It's an exciting time for vehicle safety. By proactively making emergency braking systems standard equipment on their vehicles, these 20 automakers will help prevent thousands of crashes and save lives," said Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx said in an official statement. "It's a win for safety and a win for consumers." Read on for the official press release from NHTSA. Automakers making the commitment are Audi, BMW, FCA US LLC, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Porsche, Subaru, Tesla Motors Inc., Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo Car USA.
Porsche Cayman GT4 looks sexy, rapid in the nude
Mon, Jan 5 2015Porsche doesn't officially have a name for its more hardcore version of the Cayman, yet. The speculation is that the coupe is called the GT4 as a little brother to the 911 GT3. However, the German sports car maker apparently is not interested in keeping the model's looks much of a secret because these latest shots show it without a hint of camouflage to speak of. The GT4 reportedly takes the GT3's ethos of more power, less weight and stickier-than-glue handling and brings it all to the Cayman. As these photos show, there's a much lower air dam up front with a cooling vent at the tip of the hood. Larger wheels are another obvious addition and are likely shod with some very sticky rubber. At the back, there's a double spoiler combining a wing and a ducktail. The power and gearbox for the GT4 remains a mystery, though. The rumor is that it uses a tuned version of the 3.4-liter flat-six in the Cayman S and GTS to make between 370 and 400 horsepower. A similar overhaul of the Boxster might be on the way, as well. A version of the convertible wearing some of the Cayman GT4's goodies was recently spotted testing. That one even had a manual transmission to make the prospects behind the wheel even more exciting.
