Incredibly clean, original, unmolested late 1986 Porsche Pearl White944 Turbo. This car was sold new in Nashville in the Fall of 1986. It is driven just a couple of days per month in good weather. Other than some chips, light scratches and some discoloration on the sunroof panel the paint is very nice for a 26 year old car. It is smooth and very glossy. Only 2 families have owned this car since new.
YES IT REALLY IS ONE OF THE EXTREMELY RARE FACTORY PEARL WHITE CARS !!! RESEARCH THAT ONLINE. There are actually 944 forums about the Pearl White cars. I was contacted by someone who researches this and have been told this is only the 24th Pearl White 944T he has discovered.
87,800 miles, excellent burgundy leather interior, NO CRACKS in the dash, recent timing belt, clutch, waterpump, fuel pump, etc ... I have the receipts, books, records, Porsche leather key pouch, etc ...
Paint is smooth, shiny and original. There are some scratches around the door and chips on the door edges. Some scratches on top of rear bumper (golfer?)
A/C - cold and correct
Interior - almost perfect.
Engine compartment - clean, correct, tidy, no broken washer bottle or the other typically old 944 ailments. Just clean and original.
Tires - Excellent tread, Bridgestones, but they are 10+ years old, drives well
Wheels - OE phone dials with the better looking offset that was found only on 1986 Turbos
It has one quirk that I am trying to sort out. Eventhough it runs very well and will pull to the redline in 1st -3rd gears, it cuts out at 4,000 RPM when at full throttle in 4th and 5th. I have had it checked out locally by a very good mechanic with no 944 Turbo Experience, but what I can tell you is he replaced the fuel pump and pressure regulator with new Bosch items. He also confirmed the plugs are like new, good plug wires and correct compression.
Will consider interesting trades and can pay difference if you have something worth more. I like European cars of any year model old or new, antique trucks, muscle cars and late 1950's through mid 1960's American cars including wagons and land yachts. Pre 1955 trucks, Split window VW van or truck, P1800, Lincoln MKII, C3 Vette converitble,
No junk please. No boats. I am a car nut and have a good idea about their value, so please no offers to trade even for a $4,000 vehicle.
Listed locally too.

Lamborghini Miura, Porsche 911 highlight Techno Classica
Mon, Apr 11 2016Visitors to the Techno Classica show in Germany this weekend were treated to the spectacle of all manner of classic cars under the roof of the Messe Essen. Not surprisingly, the Volkswagen Group was well represented, with the historical departments of two of its flagship marques showcasing their in-house restoration projects – albeit in radically different states of repair. While Porsche brought a completely restored example of a particularly storied 911, Lamborghini went the opposite route by displaying the bare body-in-white for a Miura. With the Miura now celebrating its 50th anniversary, Lamborghini's recently launched PoloStorico division is in the process of restoring several examples. Chassis #5030 is a Miura SV that, as you can see, is still in the middle of its refurbishment, its frame corrected but still unfinished – but that didn't stop the Raging Bull marque from putting it on display. It was joined by the freshly completed green example (chassis #4846) that was the department's first project, as well as the engine from a Miura P400S. Meanwhile, Porsche Classic arrived with a lovely 911 2.5 S/T, the precursor of the 911 RSR. One of only 24 examples made, this particular vehicle won its class at Le Mans in 1972 at the hands of works driver Jurgen Barth (who would alter claim victory overall in '77). It was rediscovered in poor health decades later by a collector, who commissioned Porsche Classic to bring it back to life. The task proved monumental, the vehicle having been modified, crashed, rusted, and used as a playground for children. Both vehicles aptly demonstrate the kind of care that these manufacturers' own restoration departments put into preserving their company's legacy. If you weren't in Essen this weekend to see them first-hand, you can check them both out in the pair of image galleries. Showing the original Miura SV first unveiled at the 1971 Geneva Motor Show and the subject of a full restoration by Lamborghini PoloStorico, the stand also displays a Miura chassis demonstrating work in progress and a fully overhauled Miura engine.
Jaguar F-Type coupe to cost more than convertible?
Tue, 30 Jul 2013Jaguar may price the much-rumored F-Type Coupe above the F-Type Convertible, if a report from Australia's Drive is to be believed. What makes Jag think that such a pricing strategy would work? Porsche. Take a look at the German manufacturer's consumer site, and you'll notice that the Boxster is less expensive than the Cayman, despite being essentially the same car.
It's a fair point, and a price premium does a good job of emphasizing the sporting chops of the coupe over the open-air experience that normally entitles convertibles to higher MSRPs. It's unclear just how closely Jaguar will follow Porsche's example, though.
Both the Cayman and Cayman S boast an extra ten horsepower over a Boxster or Boxster S, and while this bump in grunt is negligible in every situation but an argument over which is "best," it isn't something to be ignored in the F-Type, particularly as cranking more power out of its supercharged engines should be a rather simple matter.
Magnus Walker pops up again, this time with his Irish Green 911
Sun, 06 Oct 2013He was the subject of a short film called Urban Outlaw. He has been on Jay Leno's Garage. Twice. He even graced the cover of Road & Track in June. And after all of that, he appeared in a video by Hong Kong-based Silly Thing. So it isn't really surprising that Magnus Walker is at the center of attention in the latest video from XCAR, but it's surprising - and a treat - to see his mostly original Irish Green 1966 Porsche 911.
Powered by an air-cooled 2.0-liter flat six with 130 horsepower (more like 120 hp today, Walker says), riding on 5.5-inch wide wheels and turned with a wooden steering wheel, the little green 911 does represent some of the best aspects of classic car motoring.
Head on below to watch the long-form video on Walker and his Porsche, but if your time is limited, you're not missing much if you call it quits at five minutes - especially if you've seen his aforementioned videos before.
