1986 Porsche 944 5 Speed

141,000 miles

A very nice car. I am the third owner, the second owner owned it since 1987. I have owned it the last 3 years. The car has never seen snow and has always been garaged. Previous owner took very good care of car with maintenence next to none. I have receipts for rebuilt rack & pinion, new timing belt, all new seals in engine, etc. I would not be afraid to take off cross country in the car. Car was repainted in 2010. Very straight, wheels were restored at the same time with new tires. Interior is all original. There are not any cracks on the dash. Driver's seat has a slit in the bottom seam. Console has a bad spot on top and leather shifter is worn. Only known issues that I am aware of is the front valance passenger side hit a parking curb and cracked the paint. I reset the trip meter and the odometer quit working. I would change the front calipers. The 2-piece design allows them to rattle, but they work fine.

This is a very nice, fun car that gets 30-35 MPG. Feel free to call with any questions @ 765-620-8411. Ask for Kevin. I will answer anything I can. Shipping will be on the buyer and I can help getting the car to a pick-up point if needed. As always, with a 25+ year old car, this is an "as-is". I do have a 100% feedback, so bid with confidence. There will be a $500.00 deposit required to paypal, with the balance due within 7 days of sale. Thank you for looking.

2014 Porsche Panamera 4S Executive

Fri, 09 Aug 2013

If the idea of a Porsche sedan (or, long hatchback) is still off-putting to you, then you might want to look away now. For 2014, the polarizing Panamera has received a midcycle refresh bringing slightly different styling, as well as adding two new models to the lineup, the S E-Hybrid and the stretched-wheelbase Executive. Having focused most of my recent trip to Germany on a First Drive of the intriguing plug-in Panamera, I also got to spend some time with the roomier Executive model.
Offered in both 4S and Turbo guise, the Panamera Executive has been stretched by almost six inches for the sole purpose of improving rear passenger space. Although it's hard to imagine anyone would willingly buy a Porsche and opt to sit in the back seat, I'd have to say that if I'm going to be chauffeured around in a car, why not make it a Porsche? For the most part, though, I'm guessing that many Panamera Executive sedans will be owned by people who want to one-up their buddy driving a stretched BMW 7 Series or Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

McLaren P1 squares off against Porsche 918 in Evo track battle

Fri, Nov 21 2014

Evo's side-by-side comparison of the McLaren P1 against the Porsche 918 Spyder isn't the first time we've seen England and Germany's ultimate automotive weapons sized up together; last month, Autocar tested them over the standing mile, with a Ducati 1199 Superleggera playing the joker. Evo throws a few curves at its test, though, taking the supercars to Anglesey Circuit in Wales to see which will lay down the fastest lap time with scribe Jethro Bovington at the wheel. In case the numbers haven't yet been seared into your memory, while both are assisted by electric motors, the 3,069-pound, rear-wheel drive P1 gets on with 903 horsepower and 664 pound-feet from a 3.8-liter, twin-turbocharged V8. The 3,750-pound, all-wheel-drive 918 Spyder does its job with 795 hp and 575 lb-ft surging out of a naturally aspirated, 4.6-liter V8. We're not told know which circuit layout he uses for the test, but both cars comfortably eclipse the mark set by the fastest coupe Evo's driven around it so far, the Ferrari 458 Speciale. Then, in an epilogue occasioned by a tire change, one of the supercars comfortably eclipses its own time again, before Bovington declares one the master of the track and the other the ruler of the street. Enjoy finding out which is which in the video above.

The exotic '80s: Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus and the Porsche 959

Thu, Apr 9 2015

There's no secret that we are big fans of the MotorWeek Retro Review series around here. In an automotive world that often focuses on the latest tech and what's coming in the future, it's refreshing to take a look into the past to get a new perspective. That said, the show is really outdoing itself this time by posting a full episode from the '80s to YouTube, complete with the original, jazzy opening. The video is an absolute standout, too, with drives of some of the best supercars that Europe could offer at the time. Among the now classic sportscars that MotorWeek got to drive are the Ferrari 328, Lotus Esprit Turbo, Lamborghini Jalpa and Autokraft AC Mark IV. There's even a preview that sings the praises of the tech in the Porsche 959. The episode is basically a showcase of most of the exotics from young enthusiasts' walls and school folders during the '80s and is not to be missed.
