This car was originally, built by a friend 2 years ago, for a track car, major suspension work...( bilstien shocks, weltmiester 250lb springs, bushings, alignment, camber mods, 3 in front lower, 2 inch rear lower....a very stiff car, that is perfect straight, at 120mph, even if you take your hands, off the wheel.....the engine was also tweeked a bit...Head milled, New valves, timing belt, tensioners, main bearings , water pump etc...runs awesome....a High flow Radiator was installed, belts, Hoses, and a Faster throttle response cam....Although The Guys, at German Specialties, near Tampa, are some seriously talented tech's, they aren't a Body or restoration shop....So the car looks pretty on film, but has paint imperfections, a few small dents, and dings....all in all, a 10 footer....the car was disassembled for paint, and quality materials were definitely used.....its not a concourse job, but it is awesome to drive, brakes, engine, steering, etc....awesome fun    Oh yeah....she also has a racing clutch, pressure plate etc, so it is one grabby puppy, but is easy to get used to and only takes a few miles to get the hang of it...as a final note...I put a bit of carbon fiber accent, on the doors, and front splitter, the speakers are all new, and the Cd player is awesome...a very quality sound

the interior, is actually rather nice for its age, front carpets, are nice, rear carpet, is new, rear seats, have no tears, and center console is very well cared for...the dash was cracked all over ,..so I put a cover on it, and the front seats were worn, and a nice expensive pair of sheepskins...fixed em right up....so there you have it....she is a blast to drive, all lights, signals, blowers, etc work nice....the non power steering, is easy, and smooth as can be imagined....the AC delete, surely allows more torque, and the loud ..free flow exhaust, sounds like music any any RPM....I put the Baffled tip on, because it was enough to ring your ears, at speed, and that did the trick for noise.....I bought this car, because my friend, needed money, and thought it would be a good fit for me.....I love it....However,.. Im in need of money....lots of medical bills, disability dragging on 2 years....you get the Idea...The car however never made it to the track....Other projects, finances, and since I knew who built it...I couldn't resist buying her...

there are a few interior trims missing..,right  door pocket, sunroof access panel...canvas cargo cover...rear belts....that's about it...and the Fog lights....I put new bulbs, headlights, fan sensor..Alt belt...but that's about it...I recently drove her to Jacksonville, and back/ about 500 miles....easy breezy...no problems...there are 16X9 rear, and 16X8 front rims...they are flawless, and new.... a few monthes old...Tires are good, however the fronts are about 1/2 life....that's about it other than the fender

When I came out of the store a few weeks ago, some kind soul hit the right fender, and drove away...its not a difficult fix, but I don't have the money, and Ive knocked 500 off the starting price to reflect that.....This is one helluva solid car,and the guy who built her is one talented tech...good luck, and don't hesitate to email me with questions...thanks,

Touring Italy in a classic Porsche will have you feeling continental

Wed, 13 Nov 2013

It's hard to believe there was a time when a Porsche 911 didn't come to market with 400 horsepower. But as the latest video from Petrolicious reminds us, with this video of a 1968 911T, owned by Donato Maniscalco, that time wasn't so long ago.
You might think, being a distinguished man living in Italy, Maniscalco would be more enthused by a Ferrari, Maserati, or Lamborghini, but in reality, it was always Porsche that enamored the Italian as a boy. And it was that passion that led him to purchase the glorious 911T he's seen tossing about in this video.
Maniscalco goes into detail about what makes the old 911 such a legend, while also mentioning how he and the car participate in classic rallies and races. There's also some typically beautiful footage of the Italian countryside, as well. So take a look below for the latest video from Petrolicious.

Evo pits BMW M3 against Porsche Macan in drag battle

Sun, 24 Aug 2014

If you want to move five passengers in very rapid fashion and you've got a $75,000 budget, two newly introduced four-door models immediately come to mind - both are the highest performing vehicles in their respective segments. But which is faster off the line, to the 60-mile-per-hour benchmark or flat-out over an even longer run? Evo took both to paved aircraft runway to find out.
In lane one we've got the all-new Porsche Macan Turbo, which boasts a twin-turbocharged, 3.6-liter V6 rated at 400 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. The Porsche is fitted with a seven-speed, dual-clutch gearbox, and the 4,244-pound crossover has the traction advantage of standard all-wheel drive. In lane two is the all-new BMW M3, powered by a twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six rated at 425 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque. It is also equipped with a seven-speed, dual-clutch gearbox, but only the rear wheels of the 3,595-pound sedan are driven. Both the BMW and Porsche arrive with launch control, which helps to remove driver error off the line.
Which automaker's launch control system is better off the line? Does all-wheel-drive grip give the crossover the advantage it needs to overcome its adversary's power-to-weight advantage? Will aerodynamics factor into the results? Which would you put in your garage, and why? The video may surprise you.

Porsche Macan configurator lets you build $110k crossover

Mon, 25 Nov 2013

Part of the idea behind the new Porsche Macan is that it's less expensive than its larger sibling, the Cayenne. But with a starting MSRP of $49,900, the base Macan S is actually $300 more expensive than the cheapest Cayenne. That, however, is just the start, as you can see from the online configurator.
As is often the case with German cars in general (Porsches especially), tick the right boxes and you'll soon be leaving that base price behind in a cloud of tire smoke. Start off with the Macan Turbo and you're looking at a base MSRP of $72,300, which is already over twenty grand more than the naturally-aspirated version. But even that soon escalates as the options pile on.
Aurum Metallic paint will set you back $3,120. 21-inch wheels, another $3,300. You'll probably want the air suspension, torque vectoring, the Sport Chrono package, adaptive cruise control and lane-change systems, and those each add over a grand to the price. A Burmester surround sound system is the single most expensive option at $4,290. And if you choose them all - and choose all the optional trim packages - you'll soon be looking at a price in excess of $110,000. That's enough to get you into a Cayenne Turbo... assuming you don't tag on all the options to that one, too.
