You are viewing a very presentable Porsche 944 soon to be a great classic to add to your collection.   Values are starting to climb on these cars going on 30+ years.  Great color combo drives and runs nicely, very strong motor.  Incredible handling characteristics in the turns, ergonomic and comfortable to drive as a daily driver, with gas millage nearing 30mpg on the highway. I find the car to be very economical to drive with easily sourced parts being very reasonably priced.

Clean in and out, but not quite a show car.  I get several positive comments when driving, especially from the Porsche enthusiasts.  Unfortunately, I have too many cars and this one must go.  Car was used once or twice a week to take my son to school, and to drive to the local Porsche events.  Reserve is set low and is priced to sell. Possible trade up or down for something interesting, unusual, exotic? I’m particular, but send me what you have.

Yes, I personally would not hesitate to drive this cross country, but my recommendations would be always ship and inspect the car yourself. After all, this is a 30 year old classic. If local, give me a call, and I would be glad to show in person, can do a walk around over the phone for any serious buyers.

$300 Deposit within first 24 hours via Paypal or wire transfer. Remaining balance due via bank wire transfer, 7 days after the auction or cash in person.

Shipping is the responsibility of buyer, I will work with transporters

Petrolicious studies the purity of a Porsche 911 2.7 RS

Thu, 17 Oct 2013

Water-cooled Porsches are superior to the old, air-cooled models. This really isn't up for debate, despite the mob of Porsche purists, with pitchforks and torches in hand, currently descending on the Autoblog offices. Water-cooled models are more powerful and easier to live with, two factors that make modern Porsches just so darn amazing.
And while we won't hear arguments on anything we've written above, we will say that the old air-cooled models, while not superior, are just, somehow, better. They sound better - a lot better. They're simple, elemental and wildly entertaining things, that just beg for more and more. They rev in a way that forces drivers to work to unlock their power, rather than just push their right foot down. Part of the appeal of air-cooled Porsches, in addition to what we just listed, are the gorgeous cars they're slotted into, like the subject of the latest video from Petrolicious.
Starring a 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS, this video is a bit shorter than recent ones, but it's no less exciting. This 911, complete with it's sweet-sounding exhaust is the kind of simple, entertaining thing we can watch over and over. Scroll down for the full video.

Porsche Macan to get four-cylinder engines

Tue, 10 Dec 2013

Porsche hasn't offered a four-cylinder engine since the 968 went out of production in 1995 - the better part of two decades ago. There'd been talk of a four-pot Boxster or an even smaller model to slot in below it, but while the latest intel indicates that Porsche is moving ahead with its four-cylinder plans, it's a different kind of vehicle that will get it first.
That, of course, would be the new Macan. Just revealed a few weeks ago at the LA Auto Show, the Macan crossover is being launched with a pair of twin-turbocharged V6 engines (a 3.0 with 340 horsepower and a 3.6 with 400 hp) and a six-cylinder turbodiesel with 258 hp. But smaller engines, according to emerging reports from Autocar and Auto Express, are on their way.
Word has it that Porsche is preparing a 2.0-liter turbo four with 280 horsepower and a diesel with the same displacement and cylinder count, engines that will power new entry-level Macan models that will slot in beneath the existing Macan S, Macan S Diesel and Macan Turbo. While the diesel is tipped to be ported over from the Volkswagen parts bin, the four-cylinder gasoline engine is said to be under development by Porsche itself, which could mean it will have a boxer layout.

Porsche 911 already testing next refresh

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

The latest Porsche 911 may still be a newer car, but that hasn't stopped the German company from starting development of a facelifted version of the rear-engined sports car, testing in what looks like southern Europe.
Due to hit the market in 2015, our spies think what we're seeing here is the new GTS variant, which, following the evolution of the last-generation 911, will make its debut on the facelifted car. Featuring the wider rear haunches of the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4, the GTS should enjoy a slight power boost, to 408 ponies.
Aesthetically, there are some additional vents in the rear bodywork, along with a revised front bumper and tweaked day-time running lights. The taillights get some attention as well, and will likely grow over the current car's skinny rear lamps.
