The interior is in fantastic condition showing only the slightest wear on the driver's seat bolster. The dash is beautiful with no cracks. The dash was covered in 2011 with a molding plastic made for the 944. See the pics. The sun visors/carpet are in very great conditions,
Some minors troubles:
1. The A/C system is not working.
2. The driver window need a new motor (50$ on ebay - easy to fix).
3. Digital dash clock is not working it's a common thing on 944. (The clock is working on the radio)
4. Since october 2011 the odometer gear is broken at 264207 kilometers . Since that day only 500 km was made before a buy my mazda 2012. I have the receipts from many garages 2009-2010-2011 with the real odometer at these times. The gear worth approx. 25$ on pelicanparts and you can made the repair by yourself with this website: http://www.odometergears.com/documentation/Porsche_944_Odometer_Gear_Repair.pdf
(By the way dont try to push the reset button to 0 on a odometer of a Porsche 944 while the wheels are moving..)
5. Digital dash clock is not working (But is working on the mp3 radio), all the normal crap that needs attention is in great shape.

Porsche Macan fails moose test, Stuttgart responds
Tue, 14 Oct 2014Different countries have different safety standards, but most of them revolve around a similar set of tests: front impact, side impact, offset impact, rollover... the usual. But Sweden has its own test. It's called the Moose Test (or the Elk Test), and it's unique to Scandinavia: a car has to be able to avoid a theoretical antlered mammal on the road while traveling at 43.5 miles per hour and return to its previous course without flipping over. The Jeep Grand Cherokee ran afoul of the uniquely Nordic maneuver a couple of years ago, but even more surprising is the way the Porsche Macan has reacted.
Under testing by Sweden's Teknikens Värld, Porsche's downsized crossover - specifically the Macan S Diesel, for what it's worth - didn't flip over, but it skidded off course. In real-world conditions, it follows, the vehicle could run off the road or into oncoming traffic. The testers ran the test several times, and even removed excess weight from the vehicle, and each time it reacted the same way.
In response, Porsche has explained that the behavior is the result of its Active Rollover Protection system kicking in. When the system detects that the vehicle could drastically oversteer, flip over or lose its tire, it momentarily applies the brake on the front outside wheel, allowing the vehicle to shed the cornering forces without losing it completely.

This is why we love the Porsche 911 reimagined by Singer
Tue, 11 Nov 2014In the world of restomods, Singer Vehicle Designs is inarguably one of our absolute favorites. The company, founded by rocker Rob Dickinson, has made its name as an obsessive constructor of vintage, built-to-order Porsche 911s with modern internals and beautiful accouterments.
Xcar has put together a lengthy interview with Dickinson, covering the source of his fascination with the 911 and his passion for automotive design, before falling into his rock-and-roll days with his band Catherine Wheel. He also covers how he got into the world of modifying Porsches, rather than just restoring them. There's much, much more in the video, though, and we promise, you won't want to miss it.
Take a look.
