Reduced !1982 Porsche 911/930 Turbo. Rare And Best Color Combo !! 69k Orig Mi! on 2040-cars
Houston, Texas, United States
If you are looking for an original, low milage, unmolested turbo then this is the car. I purchased this car appx 9 years ago and after 25 years of collecting 911s i can honestly say I have NEVER seen another 911 much less 930 with the ultra rare VE red leather/black carpet interior. This car carries its porsche Certificate of Authenticity and its original interior is still in excellent condition. Even the carpeting and original factory mats still shine like new. The exterior is in excellent condition with no dings and only a couple of small stone chips on the front which have been touched up. It wears 90+% of its original paint (hood painted '90, bumper/spoiler/mirrors more recently). This is the highly desirable euro version which has never been federalized and has the highly desirable ZZZ VIN# (WPOZZZ93ZCS000310). this car thus has the 3.3 liter 300hp/304#'/tq which is substantially more than a US spec '79 turbo with 265/291 or an '86 US turbo with a paultry 282/287 making this car the most powerful of the 70s-80s turbos. In addition, this car has been upgraded with a K27 adj boost turbo, B&B exhaust, Andial Racing intercooler & DP front spoiler w/ add'l oil cooler. I have been told this bumps horsepower into the 400 range & I can assure you it is scare-the-hell-out of you fast ! Major factory options includelimited slip, upgraded a/c, sunroof, blaupundt etc plus powdercoated and polished alloys with enamel center caps. The car includes all tools, compressor, even the plastic flat tire bag which is always missing. This car has never been used as a daily driver and has spent its entire life garaged and covered and as a result looks more like a 3 year old car than a 30 yr old one. The car received its 60k service about 1000 mi ago by renowned 911 expert Mike Callis of Rennsport in Sealy Tx, who after a 38 mile test drive commented that it was still a new car. The car has no squeaks, rattles, wind leaks etc that tend to plague older sports cars. Everything works as it should and the car needs absolutely nothing but a new home. If you would like to discuss the car further i can be reached at (361) 575-5267 however, it will be necessary for you to leave a msg. due to the volume of calls. The car is now located in Houston Tx for inspection & I can arrange shipping from Houston worldwide at the buyers expense. Payment is to be made as follows: $1000 deposit w/i 24 hrs of auction end. balance due in cash or wire transfer ONLY w/i 3 business days. Thanks for looking !!

Porsche hybrids come up short at Le Mans
Tue, Jun 17 2014Two cars, one finish, zero victories. That's a brief synopsis of Porsche's hybrid-vehicle performance in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France. There's always next year. Porsche entered two 919 Hybrid vehicles in the race. The No. 14 car essentially limped to the finish line after encountering drivetrain problems. The other Porsche hybrid, No. 20, was driven by Germany's Timo Bernhard, New Zealand's Brendon Hartley and Australia's Mark Webber. That car ran for more than 22 hours before its own powertrain issues did that racing team in for good. Both vehicles ran towards the front of the pack at times during the race, and the No. 20 car actually led the race after about 20 hours. Still, both teams said they were disappointed in the results. Porsche sister company Audi came up big for the 13th time in the race's long and storied history. One Audi R18 E-Tron Quattro won the race, while another finished second. The Toyota that had pole-position and was winning much of the race shut down after 15 hours of racing because of electrical issues and Nissan had trouble with is ZEOD RC. Check out Porsche's press release below, and read here for a more general race recap. STRONG PERFORMANCE BY PORSCHE 919 HYBRIDS BUT NO DREAM ENDING IN PROTOTYPE RETURN TO LE MANS Le Mans. After a strong performance by both Porsche 919 Hybrids, the Porsche Team was left empty-handed after a dramatic final stage of the race. Following more than 22 hours, car No. 20 driven by Timo Bernhard (Germany), Brendon Hartley (New Zealand) and Mark Webber (Australia) suffered a powertrain problem at the world's most famous endurance race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Earlier in the race the LMP1 class car was leading overall for a significant period of time. The second innovative and highly complex prototype – in the hands of Romain Dumas (France), Neel Jani (Switzerland) and Marc Lieb (Germany) – likewise proved to be very competitive, but was hampered by a drivetrain problem. However, their No. 14 car crossed the finish line under its own power. After a thrilling start to the race with changing weather conditions, numerous accidents and a relatively calm night, Bernhard took the overall lead in the No. 20. The longtime Porsche factory driver returned to the top spot after 20 of the 24 hours. At 12:36 (CET) on Sunday, he handed the leading car over to Webber. Less than 20 minutes later the Australian was forced to slow down and drove solely on electric power back to pit lane.
Porsche celebrates Le Mans return with Martini edition 911
Tue, 10 Jun 2014If we've said it once, we've said it a hundred times - but we'll gladly say it again: there are few racing liveries as iconic as Martini. And while those stripes have adorned countless Lancia and Ford rally cars, grand prix racers (like the latest Williams) and even speedboats, they remain inexorably tied to Porsche. Fortunately that point is not lost on Porsche itself, which has lately put them on its own 918 Spyder, race-spec 911 and all manner of merchandise. And this is the latest.
To celebrate its return to Le Mans this year, Porsche Exclusive is offering this special Martini Racing Edition. It's based on the 911 Carrera S, which means the more potent 3.8-liter flat six with 400 horsepower, but upgrades, as you might have guessed, with a whole mess of Martini Racing stripes and logos, along with the Aerokit Cup front and rear spoilers. The badges and stripes abound inside as well, where you'll also find such optional extras as the Porsche Communication Management system, Bose audio and black leather electric sport seats.
Porsche is offering the 911 Carrera S Martini Racing Edition in either white or black, but unfortunately not in our market - just in Europe, China and Latin America. Those who miss out will (in certain markets anyway) be able to order the decal set separately though. Feel free to read more in the press release below.
