This magnificent creation of the Premier Porsche tuner extant, remains one of the most potent and desirable of all the Porsche variants
While many other Porsche tuners have come and gone in the last 28 years, this company has had the skill to remain relevant, viable, and successful in a rapidly changing automotive world
This particular car has had any easy life in the dry, high desert climate of Colorado where our humidity rarely exceeds 10%. That means no surface deposits on untreated metal surfaces, no mold or mildew, and never any rust on anything
This car has never had any cosmetic restoration and remains in very presentable condition as can be seen from the photos, it is showing wear to the original canvas top, some clouding of the rear window and the rear fender vent slats need to be refinished. It has never been out in bad weather and has been garaged always
The engine has just been rebuilt within the last 2,000 miles with the exact factory correct Ruf parts that were used in the original engine, every single one of them, it took 1 year to get the parts shipped here from Germany. The best shop in Denver rebuilt the engine and all receipts are included to document what is inside.
As rarely as these vehicles come into the marketplace in original and unmolested condition and then to have one of the very few Cabriolets ever made to top it off, this car will surely find its way to a world class collection in short order.
It could be yours today!

Porsche continues facelift spree with 911 Turbo

Fri, 24 Jan 2014

If there's ever been automotive case for constant evolution, it is the Porsche 911. It seems like every time a new version of the rear-engined sports car debuts, Porsche is already hard at work on a facelifted version of it that changes some subtle, barely noticeable aspect.
Such is the case with this round of images of a facelifted 911 Turbo, which was seen undergoing winter testing alongside the facelifted, hardtop-version of the 911 Cabriolet we showed you yesterday. The new, 991-based 911 Turbo was just unveiled in May of 2013.
Like the Cabrio from yesterday, both the Turbo and naturally aspirated models shown here feature additional slats at the rear of the car, right behind the rear wheels. These slats on the standard model lend credence to what we learned yesterday - that even the regular 911 models could end up getting turbocharged mills.

Porsche to develop new line of engines for next Panamera

Sat, 22 Mar 2014

When the second generation of the four-door Porsche Panamera launches, it will likely be riding a new platform, complete with an all-new family of V6 and V8 engines, according to a report coming out of the UK.
Autocar reports that the so-called MSB platform will likely underpin the Panamera, and it could be shared with Bentley, provided the Volkswagen-owned, British-built brand commits to the architecture. As for the engines, it's reported that they'll have a sportier character than the V6s and V8s being built for Volkswagen and Audi's vehicles.
"Porsche will have its own new V8 that will be common to the new MSB platform," Porsche's chief engineer, Wolfgang Hatz, said. "It's a family for the next 10 years of cars." Whether the V8 and V6 will be used outside of the Panamera line, though, remains unclear. There's also no mention of what place turbocharging would have with the new engines.

Porsche Macan Turbo vs Cayman GTS in track battle

Fri, 19 Sep 2014

"Well this is stupid." On the surface, that was our reaction to this video, as well. Why would you compare the hottest Porsche Cayman with a crossover of any kind, even if it is the 400-horsepower Macan Turbo?
We're guessing because it'd be bloody good fun, as evidenced Auto Express's latest track battle. To be fair, there is some interesting stuff here. The two do have a similar starting price, separated by less than $3,000 here in the US market. And, factoring in the Macan's hefty horsepower and torque advantages - 60 horsepower and 126 pound-feet - does make for a slightly interesting comparison.
We won't spoil the verdict, so check out the full video from Auto Express, and then let us know what you think in Comments.
