Spring is up. If you need a car that you can do a little bit of work on and enjoy summer with, now is the time! this is the car!
Got a very good looking '88 S4 for sale. Very clean body! 123000 miles. 5.0L V8, 316HP
Drives great. can still feel the massive torque when pulling from stand still. so i guess most of the 316HP is still intact.
It has a new fuel computer. Music system included. BBS wheels. 2 new front tires. Not driven in the snow.
Powered - Black Leather Seats, Anti-lock brakes, Cruise Control, 3 Driver Memory, Power Locks, Power Windows, Sunroof . Lights pop up! No major electrical issues.
Bought recently. I haven't had much of a chance to explore the car yet. Moving soon, so it needs a new home.

Issues I have spotted so far:
1. There seems to be an exhaust leak.
2. Front right wheel bearing needs to be repacked - feels a bit wobbly after 65mph.
3. The car has no air compressor.

Come take a look make your best offer

Why you must buy an air-cooled Porsche 911 now

Fri, 14 Feb 2014

"Because" might be a good response to our headline, but as a vintage (purists might call 'proper') Porsche 911 is hardly cheap, we suspect you'll need a better explanation than that. Enter Drive editor Mike Spinelli.
Spinelli sits down with Zac Moseley and Mick Prichinello from Classic Car Club Manhattan to first explain why the market for old, air-cooled 911s has gotten so hot over the past few years, and to discuss if it's a bubble that's about to burst. Following that, this video is really is just three guys sitting around talking about old Porsches for 35 minutes. Which, you know, we're pretty onboard with.

Porsche 911 GT2 caught testing, is super bad

Thu, 27 Jun 2013

Look what spy photographers have spotted sprinting around the Nürburgring. Our shooters nabbed a few photos of the all-new Porsche 911 GT2 in its native habitat without any of the bulky camouflage or cladding we're used to seeing. The result is our first truly clear view at the upcoming successor to the GT2 throne. From the looks of it, the new model will boast wider fender arches front and rear, and hefty air intakes set into the machine's hips should help feed a beastly 3.8-liter flat six-cylinder engine. Early guesses put the engine output somewhere around 560 horsepower.
Mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the engine should propel this rear-engined heathen to 62 miles per hour in under three seconds. Top speed? Try somewhere around 200 mph. If that's true, the next-generation 911 GT2 will be the fastest 911 in Porsche history.

The 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona: What we learned, what we saw

Tue, 28 Jan 2014

Two days after the flag dropped on the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona, people are still trying to figure out what it might portend for the rest of the season. In 24 hours, two minutes and 24 seconds, 695 laps were completed by the car that crossed the line first. During that time, 67 cars began the race, 18 of them retired. There was that accident, and a red flag. There were supposedly slower classes beating supposedly faster classes. There were 16 caution periods, including that yellow flag. And then there was The Decision. And Then The Uproar. And then The Reversal.
There was also some pretty good racing, so let's have one last look at the weekend. Oh, and there was that 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO Series II...
If you want to skip the reading bits and go to the photos, there's a high-res gallery of 158 images above and a couple more below. Enjoy.
