Hello, you are viewing my 1987 Porsche 928S4 with 76,147 miles. This Porsche is in WONDERFUL condition that is well maintained (over $18,000.00 maintenance receipts in the past 6,000 miles). The silver paint is in great condition with a great shine. (some small imperfection or chips) The burgundy interior is in great condition. No rips or tears in the leather (small wear marks on drivers bolster). The dash does have some cracks; vinyl material is cracked by the drives door lock button. Headliner and carpet are in good condition. Overall very nice and presentable! Mechanically the car is EXCELLENT! Runs, drives and shifts perfect. I have over $18,000.00 in maintenance receipts, that include timing belt, water pump, AC Compressor, evaporator and hoses (134a). Devek Performance Radiator, transmission and oil cooler. Rebuilt transmission and torque tube, new distributor caps and wires and MUCH MUCH more. Everything works as it should. The heat blows hot and the air conditioner blows cold . Tires and 17" cup wheels are newer with less than 1,000 miles on them. I would not hesitate to drive this car on a 2000 mile road trip. Also included are tools, books and record. The car is sold in “As Is Condition”. I do welcome and encourage pre-sale inspections. THIS CAR IS BEING RE-LISTED DUE TO ZERO CONTACT FROM THE PREVIOUS WINNER LOURARRT. Porsche planning customer driving center at Le Mans
Fri, 29 Nov 2013Porsche seems to be on a campaign to build driving centers for its customers to allow them to experience the capabilities of their cars on track. It has one under way in Los Angeles, another in development at its North American headquarters in Atlanta, and a British center set up at the Silverstone circuit. Now the latest reports indicate that Porsche is planning yet another driving center at Le Mans.
The new facility is earmarked to be built at the Circuit de la Sarthe right by the start/finish line, incorporating the Porsche Curves that bridge the Arnage corner and the Ford Chicanes on the West side of the famous track.
Porsche is reportedly still seeking approval from the Automobile Club de l'Ouest that manages the circuit, and once given the green light, would still take some time to complete. But the idea of driving a 911 flat out on the legendary track is likely to make more than a few mouths water, particularly as the German automaker prepares its full-on assault of the famous endurance race next year.
Porsche gives Nick Murray exactly what he deserved [w/video]
Sat, 19 Apr 2014The tale of Nick Murray and his lemon Porsche 911 appears to have come to a satisfactory end. As noted in the original story about Murray, he and Porsche Cars North America met and came to a resolution. However, we didn't know exactly what that meant, until now.
Murray has created a new video explaining that PCNA offered to buy back the car at full price or give him an exact replacement for it. This was exactly what he was asking for. Murray remains pro-Porsche in the new video. "I am definitely considering reordering a Porsche 911," he says.
Porsche also posted a message on its Facebook page that clarified the situation. "We at Porsche have always sought excellence in all that we do. We know you expect it of us. And when we don't meet that standard, we make every effort to improve," said a portion of the note.
The mid-engine Porsche backstory
Thu, 09 Oct 2014As an automaker's identity evolves over years, its signature becomes defined by any number of factors - heritage (Mercedes-Benz), image (Lamborghini), or market share (Toyota). In the case of Porsche, it was an engineering quirk that forged the German company's most enduring character trait.
Porsche would not have survived - let alone, thrived - in today's saturated landscape had it not been for the 911, and that slope-tailed sports car wouldn't have sprung to life without its predecessor, the 356. While phenomenal success of those rear-engine icons built the company, forays into the mid-engine configuration have played a significant part in establishing the brand's identity.
