Well here is another near perfect 928 that Nuen Werke German has been commissioned to sell. If you have seen my 928 auctions you already know they are the finest still out there to be had and I will not sell one that is less than stellar without full disclosure. This one is no exception. This car belongs to an affluent client and friend of mine. He bought this car in WV about 5 years ago basically out of a storage locker. The story was a Dr. was cheating on his Wife and she hid this car in storage to pay him back for his Marital discrepancies. It sat there for many years until the current owner purchased it. I know the story was and is true as I was commissioned to pre-inspect the car and was present during the entire transaction.

So on to the important things. The car when purchased of course was a near pristine 928 but obviously needed all of it's maintenance after sitting so many years alone in that locker. That is when you are glad as a shop owner that your client has an "open checkbook" approach to taking care of such a rare and beautiful machine. His bills have totaled over $24,000 in the beginning and in the subsequent 5 years of ownership. Now, anyone searching for an excellent 928 should know that $10,000 will not get you there. It will however provide your entry fee, and if you want it to be like this one or others I have sold figure a total investment of 25-40,000. This being said, a 928 in this league is not for the avg. buyer and bidders should throw their hat in accordingly.

Here is the list of the work performed.

brand new AC system             2800.00

lsd transmission                      3600.00

Timing belt/ waterpump           1900.00

new stage 3 clutch                  2000.00

new full exhaust inc. x-pipe by Lomas + RMB by 928 spec.    1600.00

new 18" sport design wheels with new tires                             3900.00

momo wheel                            270.00

paint to match wing                 285.00

fuel injectors                            400.00

rebuilt ECU                             1200.00

top end refresh                       2300.00

all new belts                            180.00

new wheel bearings all around  500.00

rebuilt axles                             600.00

new caps, rotors, and wires     700.00

new brakes all around             400.00

new slave cylinder                   300.00

all new fluids job                      275.00

new factory windshield            700.00

Quite a list huh? A daily driver or occasional car it is ready to enjoy. It drives, stops and turns like new and is a 9 out of ten 928. Bid with absolute confidence and bid to buy as it is a no disappointments car!   Sport design wheels and new tires in the last pics go with the car IF reserve is met. this was an additional almost 3k in wheels and tires at the time of purchase as the owner liked to change the wheels for different looks. Also the last pic of the red eye-candy is the " Neun Werke German" car and is just shown to shamelessly plug our business and what we do here. This 930 was pulled from a junkyard and revived here to as new condition!

Porsche in Paul Walker fatal accident was traveling over 100 mph before crash

Fri, 03 Jan 2014

The Porsche Carrera GT involved in the November crash that killed Fast and Furious star Paul Walker and racer Roger Rodas was traveling at speeds above 100 miles per hour before Rodas lost control for "unknown reasons," according to a report from the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office that has been acquired by The Hollywood Reporter.
Once control was lost, the Porsche spun, hit a curb and then impacted a tree and a light post, then it spun 180 degrees and hit another tree before erupting in flames, the report said. Neither Walker nor Rodas were under the influence of any drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident, according to toxicology reports conducted by the coroner.
As for the future of the Fast and Furious franchise, a separate by The Hollywood Reporter claims director James Wan, writer Chris Morgan and Universal Studios will move forward with the seventh installment in the franchise, which was only partially completed when Walker was killed.

'We're not a hedge fund': Porsche plans to curtail speculators and flippers

Tue, May 30 2017

A sizable number of speculators view cars as an investment. Rare or unusual models are quickly snapped up and either parked for years or flipped for a profit. Cars from automakers like Porsche and Ferrari are more prone than others, and at least some people behind these models are getting a bit tired of it. While it's difficult to police what goes on after you sell a car, Porsche has some plans that might curtail the problem before it starts. Andreas Preuninger, the head of GT road-car development and the man behind the new 911 GT3, spoke to Car and Driver at a recent event. "I personally like to see my cars being used," he said. "That's what we build them for. They are just too good to be left to stand and collect dust." One recent example of this rampant speculation is the 911 R. While the special manual-only model sold for $185,950 when new, used versions were selling for nearly $1.3 million just months after it went on sale. While the car is a masterpiece and an instant classic, a good number will be parked and simply used as art and not the rolling testaments to the man/machine interface they were intended to be. The concern over valuations has become so fierce that some owners are upset that Porsche is offering the new 911 GT3 with a manual transmission, fearing that it may hurt the value of the 911 R. "When I said we're not a hedge fund, I'm talking to those people who are yelling at us for offering the manual transmission similar to the R," Preuninger said. "But if there are people wanting to buy cars like that, then as a company we should try to fulfill that, to meet that demand." It seems Porsche is keeping a close eye on who is flipping cars. Since there is often far more demand than supply with certain models, the German automaker has a name for every car before it's built. Buyers with bad reputations might not even make the wait list. Porsche Supercup racer dies in crash in Australia

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

Even with great strides made towards increasing the safety of motor racing, fundamentally it's still a dangerous sport. And now it has claimed another life.
That life belonged to one Sean Edwards, an accomplished GT racing driver. Edwards was killed at Queensland Raceway in Australia, riding shotgun in a Porsche 996 GT3 while acting as instructor. The driver was airlifted to hospital with critical injuries. Sean Edwards was 26.
The son of former F1 driver Guy Edwards (whose car he drove in the filming of Rush), Sean won the European GT3 Championship in a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and drove a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 to repeat victories at the 24 Hours of Dubai as well as this year's Nürburgring 24 Hours. Edwards had been competing in the Porsche Supercup, whose standings he currently leads with just two rounds to go, and could be crowned champion posthumously.
