1988 Porsche 928 S4, Black, Automatic, 2nd owner, 81,325 original miles. The car is in wonderful vintage condition, with a near-perfect exterior and a partially restored all black leather interior. Drives beautifully. It was just checked out and reconditioned by TRE Motorsports in Van Nuys, CA. My husband was its second owner. I have all of the maintenance records and clear title on the vehicle. Good stereo system. This car has some Hollywood cred, as it was driven in the movie JOBS by Ashton Kutcher, playing the role of Steve Jobs who owned this exact model car. In the 15 years we have owned it, it has never been smoked in. It has been lovingly cared for and maintained. Vehicle is in Los Angeles and buyer must take care of delivery or pick up in person. Evo sets up duel of Porsche 911s
Thu, 20 Mar 2014What's better, rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive? That question has occupied auto enthusiasts for years, and so far, we've not really had a solid answer one way or the other. Evo has opted to take another whack at this tough question by pairing a pair of Porsche 911s against each other for a track battle.
In one corner, we have the two-wheel-drive 911 Carrera S, complete with the lickity-split PDK transmission, a sports suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes. In the other corner, it's the all-wheel-drive 911 Carrera 4S in a much mellower spec, with a seven-speed manual, as well as standard brakes and suspension. While the results seem like they'd be a foregone conclusion, some very British weather is there to act as the great equalizer.

New J.D. Power Initial Quality Study puts Porsche, GM in spotlight
Wed, 19 Jun 2013J.D. Power and Associates has released its annual Initial Quality Study, and this year, Porsche and General Motors took the spotlight. The study, which asks new car owners to report problems experienced during the first 90 days of ownership, found that overall, the industry averages 113 problems per 100 vehicles.
Porsche managed a score of just 80 problems per 100 vehicles, while GMC took the second spot on the podium with 90. Lexus filled out the top three with 94 problems per 100 vehicles, followed by Infiniti at 95 and Chevrolet at 97. The study also looks at specific models, and found the Lexus LS to enjoy the best initial quality at 59 problems per 100 vehicles.
Interestingly enough, the report found that around two-thirds of most owner problems experienced in the first 90 days are attributable to vehicle design instead of mechanical failure. Specifically - echoing a refrain we've been hearing for the last few years - owners are having a hard time figuring out how to use the technology present in their new vehicles. Head over to the J.D.
