Please note! When I listed this car about a month ago.....the autocheck score was 63.......now it's much lower I suppose because I told the truth and listed the odometer as stopped working. FYI......Title is CLEAN and CLEAR! Here's from previous autocheck......take with grain of salt. :)

1986 Porsche 928S model, metallic gray paint with a burgundy interior. Hi.....this car is for sale by me the present owner for about the past year. Only selling it as I'm moving on to another more expensive sports car. The car is in very nice condition for it's age and one of the best 928S cars I've seen in a long time. I've personally owned 7 so far and this one is by far the best one I've owned. The paint is not perfect but is extremely nice for an almost 30 yr old car as is the interior. The dash is in good condition and no dash pad or covers are needed! All glass is good too and no cracks....but passengers window doesn't go down..(could be switch...I've just never looked into it).  The only lights on the dash is the "antilock brakes"....the brakes work fine of course and I've never looked into this light as well. The A/C worked fine last summer but doesn't blow cold enough now....yet I'll have this charged (I had it converted over to R134 last summer) for the buyer at my expense! AM/FM cassette is installed along with all original speakers/amplifer and hooked up properly. Actually sounds very nice and loud without distortion, cracking or popping. May want to install a nice CD player if you like. The heater and fans work very nice for the winter too, as well as the sunroof, power seats, cruise control, heated rear glass, rear wipers, all lights work on the exterior of the car...bulb or two seems to be off on the night time interior lights (easy fix) if you wish. No rust I can see on the car either...not on edges or underneath. Car has new tires on the back as well as new/used later model Porsche Cup II wheels. Also installed are newer Porsche 964 mirrors on both sides....the are not hooked up but wires are there. I just never needed it since I was the only driver and set them for me. Parking brake works good too. Engine oil was just changed recently and timing belt tensioned by Porsche mechanic. Timing belt was replace twice as far as I can tell from the receipts included in the dash, and last time was around 153K miles or so. The power steering unit has a small leak but can't see any oil leaks. Also there is a small transmission leak that I have not investigated to date....but never have lost enough fluids to be concerned about...or even have to add. Transmission fluid is still FULL and I have not added any in a year! Oh...front shocks for hood are shot...needs replaced. Also.....the larger wheels/tires scrub just a tiny bit now and then on the rear of the car only. I take my 2 boys for drives around town in the car every week as we try to drive it at least a few miles every week. The car has been on long trips to Atlanta and North Carolina and has driven great. I' would not be afraid to drive this car across the country...it seems to be that dependable....yet please know you're buying a 28 year old car so please don't expect it to be new. Oh.....the drivers seat has a place where the leather has come unstitched...right where the seatbelt comes across......you can see it in the photo a bit. Rest of leather is really nice....and car has never been smoked in at all as far as I know. Just 3 owners! Cargo net in back and most tools are here as well as a spare tire and fire extinguisher in trunk. :)
The car is sold AS-IS of course and due to the rising prices of 928's......this one is a great keeper!! I'm moving on to a different type sports car so that's the only reason I'm sell it. I've tried to think of everything possible to mention about the car.....but if you have any questions......please let me know. Thanks for looking and if you have ZERO or very LOW FEEDBACK.....you must write to me before bid or I reserve the right to cancel your bid. Winning bidder to pay $500.00 Deposit via paypal within 24 hours please to let me know you are serious. I will be happy to assist with your having the car picked up at YOUR expense if you're a bit too far away to consider coming to get it in-person. OH.........just had the rear brake pads changed and rotors turned about 1 month ago.
Thanks for looking and have a blessed day!

Pininfarina teases its Tesla- and Bugatti-baiting EV supercar

Tue, Jul 10 2018

Pininfarina isn't being bashful when it comes to getting into the car business. The Italian design house has revealed a sketch of the PF0 Concept, an electric supercar aimed directly at the world's fastest and most expensive vehicles. With upward of 1,000 horsepower, along with an expected price in the millions of dollars, this extreme EV is meant as a calling card for Pininfarina's upcoming range of electric cars and SUVs. So should the likes of Tesla, Porsche, Ferrari, Bugatti and Lamborghini be worried? Pininfarina might be new to building its own cars, but the company has many decades of experience designing and engineering some of the most desirable cars of all time — including many of the finest supercars to have worn a Ferrari badge on their nose. As we reported earlier this year, Pininfarina has teamed with Indian auto manufacturer, Mahindra, to develop a range of high-end EVs. With this roughly $500 million investment, not to mention some engineering help from Croatian supercar manufacturer, Rimac, Pininfarina aims to start high. The company will first introduce a hypercar, based on the PF0 Concept, within two years, then bring along a range of more affordable electric cars and SUVs. These will more directly take on the likes of Porsche Cayenne, Lamborghini Urus, and Tesla Model X. So yes, if you're in the business of building expensive cars, especially ones with a lot of batteries positioned inside them, Pininfarina's plans for the PF0 (that's a zero, not the letter "O," by the way) should make you sit up and take notice. "Automobili Pininfarina is a pioneering new business created to service the most discerning clients in the world," said Michael Perschke, CEO for Automobili Pininfarina. "Our product portfolio will launch with an innovative, zero-emissions hypercar that represents the progression we aim to make at the pinnacle of the luxury and sports car market." According to its press release, Pininfarina is currently presenting its "business and product plans to prospective retailer partners, clients and media in New York this week." After its tour of the Big Apple, look for Pininfarina to officially reveal the PF0 Concept during Monterey Car Week in August. Conquest and controversy conclude the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona [spoilers]

Sun, 26 Jan 2014

If you don't wish to know who won the 2014 Rolex 24 at Daytona, you should avert your eyes right now. We'll even give you a double-space to skedaddle...
For those of you still with us, the first race in the United SportsCar Championship (USCC) is done, but the discussions about it certainly won't end for a while. Daytona Prototypes claimed the first four overall places, the top spot taken by the No. 5 Action Express Coyote-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Joao Barbosa, Christian Fittipaldi, Sebastien Bourdain and Burt Friselle. The 16th and final caution of the race bunched the field up for an eight-minute sprint to the flag, so the first place getter finished just 1.4 seconds ahead of the No. 10 Wayne Taylor Racing Dallara-Chevrolet Corvette DP driven by Max Angelelli. Third place went to Brian Friselle in the No. 9 Action Express Chevrolet Corvette DP, 20 seconds down. Chevrolet power hasn't taken the overall win since 2003, eleven years later it scores a one-two-three-four. The No. 6 Muscle Milk/Pickett Racing ORECA-Nissan 03 scored fifth place, the top LMP2 finisher.
The Prototype Challenge class win went to the No. 54 CORE Autosport team of Colin Braun, Jon Bennett, Mark Wilkins and James Gue.

2015 Porsche 918 Spyder: Touring the factory

Wed, Dec 3 2014

Willy Wonka granted just five lucky Golden Ticket holders access to his incredible chocolate factory, yet we consider ourselves just as fortunate, as Porsche invited us to be among the first of just four American journalists to see behind the closed doors of its 918 Spyder assembly plant in Zuffenhausen, Germany. Of course, there were no Oompa Loompas or flowing chocolate rivers, but the vast white hall tasked with producing only 918 examples of the automaker's limited-production flagship revealed details that make Wonka's Golden Egg sorting room seem rather mundane in comparison. Unlike a traditional automobile manufacturing plant, which often encompass all processes of making a vehicle (e.g., stamping steel panels, welding components and painting), the 918 Spyder is built in an assembly plant. This means that hundreds of already manufactured parts, each crafted by Porsche offsite suppliers, are brought under one roof to be assembled into a perfectly finished product that is much sweeter – and far more expensive – than any candy delicacy. Our tour guide was Michael Drolshagen, Porsche's Director of Production, Logistics and Quality - a walking encyclopedia when it comes to the engineering and assembly of the 918 Spyder. Drolshagen generously offered us unrestricted access to walk among the factory's 110 workers – and a couple-dozen vehicles in process – to photograph everything. This is a story best told with pictures, so we've put together a raft of our best images in a high-resolution gallery and captioned each with a detailed description. If you've still got questions, please voice them in Comments section and we'll do our best to answer.
