1986.5   PORSCHE  928 S  for sale all original, very nice car, about 1,000 miles ago had belt & water pump replaced, new A/C compressor, new front brakes, fuel lines redone,  transmission service done, car has rear A/C unit, car is due for belt re-tensioning since 1,000 miles has passed, runs smooth and quiet. Paint is all original and in good condition, radio is relatively new but after I used the radio remote for the first time it stopped working, I think it is something minor, as it worked perfectly before that. Passenger side window does not work, cruise control does not work. Rear hatch needs carpet, when I bought it, it didn't have one, but does come with hatch shade. Small scrape on rub strip about 5 inches long on drivers side, was touched up, not too noticeable. The paint is Indian Red, very nice color. I have owned the car since July of 2010, had 66,534 miles on it when I bought it, so only put about 1,000 miles per year on it, it's a very reliable car  and I would drive it anywhere. I have about $ 12,000 in the car, and reserve the right to sell it locally before the auction ends. No implied or stated warranty with the sale, sales with the 48 states only. At auction end buyer to remit $500.00 via PayPal within  48 hours of ending, balance to be paid by cashier check, shipping arrangements to be made by buyer and paid for by buyer. This car was used as a weekend driver not a daily driver, good bidding!  Any questions reply and I will answer thru ebay motors, or serious bidders can request my telephone number & I will talk about the car and answer any questions.

Porsche goes karting in its Cayman GTS

Sun, 03 Aug 2014

Think Mini is the king of Go-Kart Handling[TM]? Well, you might be mistaken, as Porsche proves here it's fully capable of delivering a driving experience that'd fit in quite nicely on a go-kart track.
Using a new and very red Cayman GTS, the Stuttgart-based manufacturer invades a kart track in northern Italy and sets the mid-engined sports car loose to slip, slide and zip its way around the circuit. As far as videos for Sunday evening go, this one ticks all the boxes.
Take a look.

Porsche's former CEO Wiedeking to stand trial over VW-share manipulation

Wed, 27 Aug 2014

Former Porsche CEO Wendelin Wiedeking (left in the above photo) could potentially be facing some time in the slammer after all. The last we had heard, he and former Chief Financial Officer Holger Haerter (right) had avoided a trial in April due to a lack of evidence. However, an appeals court in Stuttgart has looked at the case again and overruled the earlier decision, finding that the executives should be tried for share manipulation during Porsche's failed attempt to take over Volkswagen in 2008, Bloomberg reports.
The judges in the appeal "list numerous indications that could suggest that there was a hidden decision to increase the stake as they could suggest the opposite evaluation by the lower court," said Stefan Schueler, a spokesperson for the court, in a statement cited by Bloomberg. Wiedeking and Haerter put out their own releases saying that there was no merit to the charges.
The prosecutors allege that Wiedeking and Haerter had a plan to buy up VW stock options in 2008 to take the automotive giant over but hid it from investors. The whole thing was a massive failure and eventually allowed VW the chance to acquire Porsche and forced the two execs to step down. In addition to the criminal investigation, hedge funds have attempted to sue the company multiple times in civil court for the same reason, but they have repeatedly failed.

'Born of a Blue Sky' brings the Amelia Island Concours to you

Fri, 03 May 2013

The Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance has more clout every year and is getting a reputation as Pebble Beach minus the madness. Held in March this year, it celebrated Ducati and the 50-year anniversaries of Lamborghini, the Corvette Sting Ray, Porsche 911 and the Ford GT40.
Justin Lapriore was there, and seemingly everywhere, getting footage of the various wares on display on the lawns and the sand and the runway. The resulting video, Born of a Blue Sky, is a 16-minute survey of some of the finer sights and plenty of engine sounds. Check it out below.
