1984 928 S Porsche at 77,xxx actual miles.) (u. s. legal euro spec car) engine code m28/21,
310 hp. quality headers gains are up to 20% =372 hp. ( the us models are 234 hp ). shiny black ext. wit blk canvas top and pwr glass moon roof. both are rare, some Porsche people say factoy installed, some say euro after market, I don't know , but the headliner is molded to /for the larger meshed glass, sun roof. ( maybe it was a euro trend back in the day) . all seating is new med. dark blue soft leather, as the interior is blue . good carpet, porsche matts , cargo carpet lesser cond. 5 speed with rear final @ 2.73 Porsche says this combo is a 143.6 mile per hour car. has air/ working a/c but mount is broken so belt is not able tighten enough. has the period correct blk/ gold to include gold center BBS rims. runs good stops good all lighting works, heater too but temp. control stays on high or off. fan speeds are ok. has spare and factory tool kit. note the red rear euro fog light and no big  rubber bumpers at the license plate sides, does show mph/klm ,some German words and it is left hand drive. I haven't found/figured out what country this car originally sold in.   (  The Oregon title says reconstructed, haven't learned what this represents), however  my 98 S 10 was deemed totaled after  a30 mph deer strike, yep,$113.00 of E bay aftermarket parts," head light, grill and blinker light. and its my to work and back ride again". not to say the DMV is wrong, just that Porsche  drives like / feels like a 70,000 mile car and the pics show  that a body shop did  a great job  .It seems that if you ship a car to your home from abroad , it was well cared for at its new home, Im guessing Im owner #3.    ( yes the front spoiler/bib) is missing do to the retired gent I got it  from. He broke it on a parking stop and took it off.   thanks for looking. I will return calls that I miss, I sleep days and work long nights ///541/680/0053,    PS: the vin in the official box is a 914 I have, EBAY is not able to process the  ZZZ code because its a European code

Consumer Reports declares most and least loved cars [w/video]

Wed, Dec 3 2014

Consumer Reports is crunching the numbers from its annual owner-satisfaction survey, and part of that process is finding out how attached drivers are to their cars. CR simply asks readers of models up to three years old if they would buy the same vehicle again in light of their entire ownership experience, and tallies the results. After looking at the responses for about 350,000 vehicles, it turns out that people really love a certain California-built, electrically powered luxury sedan. That's right, this year's the overall winner was the Tesla Model S with a whopping 98 percent of owners saying they would purchase another one (the Model S also won this award last year, with 99 percent satisfaction). The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray came in a close second with 95 percent of drivers hoping to park another one in their garage. A few models weren't quite so favored, though. The Nissan Versa Sedan was the least loved model among its owners; a mere 42 percent said that they would purchase another. The aging Jeep Compass didn't do much better, with just 43 percent of drivers willing to buy the softroader again. On average, about 70 percent of owners say they would buy their car again, and only four cars ranked below 50 percent in CR's findings. Check out the video above to see some of the winners and losers in a few of CR's categories. If you're a subscriber, you can check out the full list on its website. Is Porsche planning a GT5?

Tue, May 19 2015

A trademark application filed in Europe suggests Porsche could be planning a GT5 model to slot at the bottom of its track-focused sports car lineup. The German automaker's GT skunkworks division in Weissach earned its reputation with enthusiasts producing the GT3 and GT3 RS versions of the 911, and previously offered GT2 and even GT1 models as well (although the latter was a limited homologation special). It recently extended itself slightly downmarket with the launch of the Cayman GT4, but this trademark application – already reportedly accepted in Germany and currently being reviewed by the European office – suggests an even more accessible model could be on its way, Autocar reports. Just what form a GT5 would take, however, remains a mystery. The numerical progression would suggest that Porsche is planning a hardcore version of an even smaller sports car, if such a project ever got off the ground to slot in below the Boxster and Cayman. Given that the 911 has bred both GT2 and GT3 versions, Weissach could alternatively be planning an additional GT version of the Cayman, or planning a hardcore version of the Boxster. The prospect of a GT5 version of the Macan, Cayenne, or Panamera seems unlikely as the alphanumeric designation has never been applied to anything other than a two-door coupe, but then we never really know what the future will bring: Before 2002 Porsche had never done anything with more than two doors altogether. These designations are typically borrowed from their corresponding racing class, and of course there is no GT5 category. But then most of these racing classes have been amalgamated into GT3 anyway, unless Porsche is planning on using the name for its own entry-level spec racing series. But at this point we're just spitballing. It's just as likely that the company has simply filed the trademark application to keep its options open for the future. Related Video:

Porsche testing four-cylinder Boxster at the N?rburgring

Fri, 09 May 2014

Porsche recently introduced a four-cylinder version of the new Macan for markets outside of North America, carrying Zuffenhausen's first four-pot since the 968 ended its production run the better part of two decades ago. But you can bet the compact crossover won't be the only Porsche to get the four banger before all's said and done. These spy shots, we're told, are evidence of just that.
Spotted undergoing testing at the Nürburgring (where else), this modified Boxster, our spy photographers tell us, sounds more like a four-cylinder engine than the flat six that's powered (in displacements ranging from 2.5 liters to 3.4) every version of the little roadster since its introduction in 1996, the year after the last four-cylinder Porsche ended production.
The test mule is also wearing modified wheel arches and aerodynamic aids under the bumpers, front and rear. Just what they're doing there we're not sure, but we'll probably find out sooner or later.
