Bought this car to keep long term but my wife is pregnant and it must go. We have used it for regular trips all over California and it is extremely reliable. The car runs and shifts perfectly.

THE GOOD:
This car is a Hawaii car. It has been on the mainland USA for about 2 years. It has a clean California title in hand and a recent CA smog. $2800 in new parts since May. Have a stack of receipts since new.
I have the original window sticker!!!  $52000 car in 1985 with a $2000 full leather interior option!

NEW PARTS:
front tires, front struts, front lower ball joints, front discs, front pads, rebuilt front calipers. rebuilt rear calipers, rear pads. All engine belts including timing belt, timing belt tensioners, upper and lower radiator hoses, Air pump, rebuilt power steering pump,  catalytic converters, transmission service kit, high output battery, battery grounding strap, voltage regulator, all 4 hood and hatch shocks, all taillights converted to LED, 4 wheel alignment.  air filter, smog pump filter. Thermostat, O2 sensor. new aluminum lug nuts on all four wheels.

THE BAD:
The paint and body is original and needs to be redone to be perfect. The interior is good except the drivers seat has a tear and some of the leather is shrinking around the A pillars and doors.  The tachometer doesn't work.  The AC needs to be recharged and needs a belt (but does work). The sunroof works but is slow. The rear tires are nearly to the tread wear limits. one fog light is out. Front chin spoiler is missing in the middle section. Power mirrors not working. The rebuilt power steering pump has just began to make noise and has began to leak.

Remember this is a 28 year old car and will present as such. I have described the condition to the best of my ability.

This vehicle is sold as is and will have no warranty.

This is a no reserve sale and it will go to the highest bidder.

Please message me if you have questions before bidding.

Motor Trend hits Laguna Seca with Ferrari F12, Chevy Corvette, Porsche 911

Thu, 26 Sep 2013

According to the crew at Motor Trend, we should think of the video below "as an addendum to Best Driver's Car," a test the magazine put together that elevated the 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S above all others in the category of driving joy. It seems the brand-new 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray wasn't able to take part in the magazine's official test, and neither was the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta.
And so Motor Trend did the only logical thing: It procured both the 'Vette and Prancing Horse as soon as it could, and put them both on track with the Driver's Car-winning 911. Of course, these cars don't actually compete against each other - the Ferrari offers up 731 horsepower and wears an asking price of $434,144 as tested, which means you could buy four loaded Corvettes for the price of one F12, and still have money left for a garage to store them in - but that's not the point of this particular test.
The point of this test isn't to listen to the beautiful sounds coming from the Porsche's flat-six-cylinder, the Corvette's pushrod V8 or the Ferrari's luscious V12, either, but the video below is worth watching for those three reasons alone. You know what to do.

Porsche Supercup racer dies in crash in Australia

Tue, 15 Oct 2013

Even with great strides made towards increasing the safety of motor racing, fundamentally it's still a dangerous sport. And now it has claimed another life.
That life belonged to one Sean Edwards, an accomplished GT racing driver. Edwards was killed at Queensland Raceway in Australia, riding shotgun in a Porsche 996 GT3 while acting as instructor. The driver was airlifted to hospital with critical injuries. Sean Edwards was 26.
The son of former F1 driver Guy Edwards (whose car he drove in the filming of Rush), Sean won the European GT3 Championship in a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup and drove a Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 to repeat victories at the 24 Hours of Dubai as well as this year's Nürburgring 24 Hours. Edwards had been competing in the Porsche Supercup, whose standings he currently leads with just two rounds to go, and could be crowned champion posthumously.

2015 Porsche Cayenne GTS proves performance is relative

Thu, Nov 20 2014

The Turbo may be the most powerful model in the Cayenne range, but the GTS is arguably the enthusiast's choice. (In so far as a 4,500-pound crossover can be considered an "enthusiast's choice," anyway.) And now, after refreshing the rest of the Cayenne lineup, Porsche has revealed the new Cayenne GTS, alongside its new 911 GTS stablemate, here at the LA Auto Show. Like the new Cayenne S, the new GTS drops the previous version's atmospheric V8 for a 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6, but ups the output to 440 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque to propel Zuffenhausen's portliest to 62 in a scant 5.2 seconds. Alongside the power upgrade, the GTS gets a lowered air suspension and sportier exhaust, the beefier brakes from the Cayenne Turbo and an upgraded aero kit to help with the whole barn-door-profile thing. Just don't expect all that extra kit and the prestige of a Porsche badge on your crossover to come cheap, with prices starting at $95,500 (plus $995 destination).
