Up for auction is a 1976 Porsche 914 1.8L that has been converted to a 4.3L GM V/6 with approximately 175Hp and 250ft-lbs of torque. The car DOES RUN but DOES NOT DRIVE so please assume that this will require a full restoration. The prior owner informed me that the 4.3L was rebuilt prior to installation and that an Edelbrock Performer manifold and Edelbrock carb was installed with a ceramic coated Supertrap header and exhaust system, electric water pump, alternator, and Accel HEI ignition system. He was not sure of the specs on the internals so unfortunately I don't have any of the cam, piston, etc information. The engine has been installed with the trans adapter kit, motor mounts, and radiator but the accelerator cable, fuel lines, cooling fan, clutch cable, and shifter linkage still need to be hooked up. Also the car does come with a targa top and the front rotors and rear hubs have been drilled to accept 5 lug wheels although 4 lug Riverias are installed now.
Overall the body is pretty straight and rust free but the hell hole area will need some attention (see pics). The interior, brakes, wiring, lenses, windshield, and seals are all shot too so assume that they will all need attention. Basically assume that all of the cosmetic items on the car will need attention and that you are buying this for the conversion drive train and roller shell only.
The car currently comes with a bill of sale but if you require a CA title I can head down to the AAA office and acquire one for $150.
Any questions feel free to call,

First-ever Porsche headed home to company museum
Wed, 29 Jan 2014About 30 years before Ferdinand Porsche designed the Volkswagen Beetle, he created the Egger-Lohner electric vehicle, C.2 Phaeton model - or simply, the P1 - you see above. This was the first vehicle created by Porsche, and the car gets its nickname from the fact that he had stamped "P1" on many of the parts marking it as the first Porsche... sorry, 356 No. 1.
Now while you'd think that such an important piece of Porsche heritage has been in a museum or even the automaker's not-so-secret lair, it has actually been sitting at a warehouse for the last 112 years. Thankfully, that's all about to change as Porsche has recovered P1, and the car will soon be on "permanent display" at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart.
The P1 has a 3 horsepower motor capable of delivering a top speed of 21 miles per hour and a driving range of 49 miles, and, like many vehicles in Porsche's history, the motor is positioned at the rear of the vehicle. According to the press release posted below, the P1 finished first in a 24-mile electric vehicle race in Berlin in 1899, but it has been sitting since 1902.
Drive-up bank robbery perpetrated with Cayenne and WRX
Sat, 14 Sep 2013Thieves carried out what appears to be a movie-script-perfect robbery of a bank in Sydney, Australia early on Friday morning, using two stolen high-performance vehicles in the process.
At around 11:15 AM local time, in near mid-day light, reports say that two men in masks smashed into the side of a Westpac bank in a confirmed-stolen black Porsche Cayenne. The perpetrators were armed with sledgehammers according to witness reports, and took only about five minutes to take what they were after inside of the bank.
The rapid getaway was executed in a Subaru WRX, also confirmed as a stolen vehicle, while witnesses snapped camera phone images of the illicit goings on. One Twitter user posted a few of the images to his social media feed; you can take a look at them in our small gallery below. Follow on down for the full video report, from The Sydney Morning Herald.
Watch Finnish hoons drift a Porsche, a motorcycle and a snowmobile on ice
Tue, Feb 10 2015We're figure the guys in Finland's Stunt Freaks Team see this video as three minutes of freewheeling snow drifting with a Triumph Daytona motorcycle on snow tires, a Porsche 911 GT3 rally car and a Polaris RMK snowmobile. We, however, like to think of it as a mini-documentary on the winter habits of bipedal Finnish mammals, who display a curious set of winter habits that fascinate us no matter how many times we see them. Admittedly, if we lived conveniently close to Rovaniemi, set smack-dab on the border of the Arctic Circle in Finland's Lapland, we'd do the same thing. The title says it all, save for there also being a side-by-side that was probably the camera car. It's missing the huge roostertails, but it's got a crash and a wheelie to make up for it.
