1975 Porsche 914 With Subaru Ej20r Twin Turbo Conversion on 2040-cars

This is a 1975 Porsche 914 with a Subaru ej20R Twin Turbo (currently tuned at 18 psi) engine. It has a Megasquirt ECU in factory case with factory wiring. It has a Subaru 5 speed transmission with a hydraulic clutch and a Nissan Versa Shift console.
The Suspension is 180# rear springs on Koni Shocks, 22mm front torsions on 911 Carrera Boge dampers. The front bushings were replaced with polygraphite. 15x6 Rivearas on Kuhmo 205-50-15 tires. Chassis rust was fixed using butt welded sheet metal. Chassis has Engman Kit installed. Drivers seat is carbon fiber GT3 replica, there is no radio. Tachometer is driven by MS ECU. Chassis has Engman Kit installed. Interior painted with gray anti-skid paint and partial covered with gray Perlon. Driver's seat is carbon fiber GT3 replica Passenger seat is stock. The car is fast when you hit the high rpm's, but drives very nicely at lower rev's. The car has PA Antique plates on it that will transfer. Any questions, please ask. Thanks ~ |

Porsche inspecting 2,500 Euro-spec Macans for damaged brake boosters
Thu, 29 May 2014Porsche is investigating a potential brake issue with 2,500 of its new Macan CUVs. The inspection focuses on the state of the brake systems following tests that discovered the brake boosters may have been damaged during assembly.
Porsche has pointed out that, despite the concern, the affected Macans still meet safety regulations. The issue is predominantly found in European-spec Macans, which according to Porsche, have been delivered to consumers. Owners of affected vehicles in Europe will be notified and asked to come in for a brief, no-cost inspection.
American consumers, though, have no reason to worry. We reached out to Porsche Cars North America, who confirmed that the vehicles in question were assembled before US-spec cars were screwed together.
911 beware! Porsche testing new top-trim Boxster
Wed, Dec 10 2014The Boxster and Cayman are like the scrappy siblings compared to their star brother – the Porsche 911. And now it looks like the rivalry is about to get even more serious, as our spies have captured this hotted-up Boxster doing some winter testing. We've already seen Porsche evaluating a higher-performance version of the Cayman, rumored to be called the GT4. It would reportedly offer a taste of the thrills of the 911 GT3, but at a lower price. The coupe appears to have a convertible twin in this Boxster prototype. The biggest giveaway of their possible relationship is the shared front bumper with larger intakes and an extra opening at the tip of the hood. Although, this one lacks the Cayman's big, rear spoiler in favor of a smaller decklid unit. The good news for fans of shifting for themselves is that this tester is fitted with a manual transmission, according to our spies. Being a prototype, though, there's no guarantee that the gearbox makes it to production. At least in Cayman trim, these higher performance models might use a tuned version of the 3.4-liter flat-six with between 370 and 400 horsepower. Though, an earlier rumor suggested that a turbocharged four-cylinder could sit behind the driver. Until we know for sure, glance at the gallery to see a Porsche that might try to challenge its big brother.
Porsche Museum highlights history of the 911 RSR
Sat, 12 Jan 2013Porsche has amassed quite an impressive trophy case in just about every racing series it has ever entered, and one of its most dominant machines has to be the 911 RSR from the 1970s. Taking part in various GT-class competitions, the 911 RSR managed to take home three international and seven German victories in 1973, its very first year of competition.
Not one to downplay its racing successes, Porsche has released an informative video detailing the 911 RSR's impressive heritage. The 1973 RSR model owned by the Porsche Museum is detailed beautifully on video, and we have to say it looks absolutely stunning in its vintage Martini Racing livery.
