Engine runs strong and shifts smoothly in all 5 gears, plus into reverse. Recently bought the car this summer, but with all the work going on in our homekitchen remodel and new flooring, decided I did not need another project. Plus, my wife wants her space in the garage backI have both my 914 and my Boxster in the garage, and she wants her Audi to be garaged. Has 69,900 original miles on the engineand runs strong. Mostly original, the radio is not original, was repainted the original color a few years ago. I believe I am the third owner. Hard to find a complete 914 with this low of original miles. Was originally owned by a lady who just drove the carin the summers. Has the 1.8 engine and 4 new Michelin tires. Will help with shipping if out of state."

Selling my 1975 Porsche 914.  It has 69,938 miles which are original.  Yellow paint which is a older respray.  Paint needs work as does the original interior which

is tan.  Has a non original radio in it.  Hard to find a 914 with this low of miles.  Excellent 914 to restore to perfect condition.  Has newer Michelin tires.  Just
recently bought the 914, decided it wasn't the right time for another project since we are remodeling our kitchen and house floor at this time.

Porsche tuners 9ff, SpeedArt going bankrupt

Thu, 19 Sep 2013

Times are tough in Europe right now, and that unfortunately has reaped disastrous consequences for some of its smallest niche automakers. Gumpert, Wiesmann, Artega and Lola have all filed for bankruptcy this year, and it appears that tuners are not immune to the tough times, either.
Word coming in from across the pond suggests that 9ff and SpeedArt - two of the biggest names in Porsche tuning - have filed for bankruptcy as well. 9ff is best known for the GT9, a radical hypercar barely based on the 911, while SpeedArt was once of the foremost tuners of Porsches.
Fortunately there are still plenty of tuners ready to take a wrench to your Elfen, but the reported demise of these two makes the market a little bit smaller and - for Porsche enthusiasts - maybe the world a little bit lonelier, too.

Audi welcomes Porsche back to Le Mans like any sibling would

Fri, 06 Jun 2014

Ah, sibling rivalry. It really is a beautiful thing. It's even more beautiful when said siblings are automakers with very, very well-known racing histories. That's how you get videos like this, which is Audi's way of welcoming Porsche back to the top flight of Le Mans racing.
Yes, Audi has taken its R18 E-Tron Quattro back onto public roads, wowing schoolboys and scaring farmers (who appear to be riding classic Porsche tractors), as it travels from Ingolstadt to Zuffenhausen, just to taunt its corporate frenemy.
Take a look below for a video to see just what that teasing looks like.

Petrolicious explores long-term living with Porsche's 914/6

Thu, 15 May 2014

After its last video starred none other than the spectacular Ferrari 250 GTO, where was there for the video team at Petrolicious to go? Certainly, in the realm of classics, there are only a few other vehicles that can match the badge and pedigree of the ultra-rare Ferrari. Maybe a Jaguar D-Type or an Aston Martin DBR1? No, this latest video doesn't star either of those British icons. It stars an oft-misunderstood, occasionally derided entry from Germany's most sporting manufacturer - Porsche.
Yes, we've gone from a Ferrari 250 GTO to a Porsche 914/6. As is often the case with Petrolicious, though, the story told about the car by its owner are often more important than the make or model of car being highlighted. That's exactly the case here, as Jack Griffin talks about the 38 years he's spent with this particular Porsche.
Having been born into the Volkswagen fold and introduced to Porsche in the best way possible - behind the wheel of a 356 - Griffin has some interesting stories (including his attempt at running the 12 Hours of Sebring), and he knows a fair bit about some of the 914's attributes.
