Up for sale Fantastic 912 Soft window Targa 1968 This is a rare black plate California car that just came out of the original owner estate sale. It was parked in the garage since 2006. We towed the car to our shop, changed the fluids and within two hours we were driving it. This is a very original no-rust California car that shows 57,000 original miles on the ticker. The car was taken to professional Porsche shop and disassembled removed the engine, trans, and fuel tank. Then the car was sent to paint shop for a fresh re-spray of the original Irish Green color: windows out quality bare metal paint job. Leak down and comp test on the engine was done and it was great, so just a full tune up service, adjusted the valves, and detailed the engine and trans was done. New clutch and shift bushings, CVs rebuilt. The interior is excellent and all original even the carpets, amazing! All the rubber seals were replaced, even the Targa top seals. Autos International rebuilt the soft window assembly. All the chrome, decos, bumper guards, lights and side markers are original. New sound pad, hood shocks. Brake master cylinder replaced and rubber hoses, pads, and cut rotors. Boiled the fuel tank, rebuilt the Solex carbs and fuel pump. Replaced all liners The floor pans are perfect. The bottom of this car is great and the suspension is tight – the Konis were adjusted, and they are also great. Wonders never cease. Bottom line is that we have a really nice, original, rare (only 200 made) 912 soft window Targa and only 66 produced in 1968! This car runs and drives great. No smoke or leaks, no accidents or rust, just a nice car. Car comes with manual, tools, spare and jack. We contact Porsche COA to verify the correct color and engine number. Trans too is correct. This is an amazing collector condition car so don't miss for a very fair price!! The car is located in the biggest shipping company in US Cfr Rinkens in California and is ready to go!! We have clean pink slip in hand!! Californian residents subjects for state tax!, Thanks for looking!! |

Is Porsche planning a GT5?
Tue, May 19 2015A trademark application filed in Europe suggests Porsche could be planning a GT5 model to slot at the bottom of its track-focused sports car lineup. The German automaker's GT skunkworks division in Weissach earned its reputation with enthusiasts producing the GT3 and GT3 RS versions of the 911, and previously offered GT2 and even GT1 models as well (although the latter was a limited homologation special). It recently extended itself slightly downmarket with the launch of the Cayman GT4, but this trademark application – already reportedly accepted in Germany and currently being reviewed by the European office – suggests an even more accessible model could be on its way, Autocar reports. Just what form a GT5 would take, however, remains a mystery. The numerical progression would suggest that Porsche is planning a hardcore version of an even smaller sports car, if such a project ever got off the ground to slot in below the Boxster and Cayman. Given that the 911 has bred both GT2 and GT3 versions, Weissach could alternatively be planning an additional GT version of the Cayman, or planning a hardcore version of the Boxster. The prospect of a GT5 version of the Macan, Cayenne, or Panamera seems unlikely as the alphanumeric designation has never been applied to anything other than a two-door coupe, but then we never really know what the future will bring: Before 2002 Porsche had never done anything with more than two doors altogether. These designations are typically borrowed from their corresponding racing class, and of course there is no GT5 category. But then most of these racing classes have been amalgamated into GT3 anyway, unless Porsche is planning on using the name for its own entry-level spec racing series. But at this point we're just spitballing. It's just as likely that the company has simply filed the trademark application to keep its options open for the future. Related Video:
2015 Porsche Cayman GTS
Thu, 29 May 2014The Porsche Boxster and Cayman will forever nip at the heels of their big brother, the 911 Carrera, and perpetuating this tradition are the latest GTS variants, which add yet another arrow to the quiver of the plucky mid-engined platform.
The GTS' performance enhancements boost horsepower by a mere 15 and shave a tenth from 0 to 60, but Porsche's clever product planners and engineers have stuck to their familiar formula in making the Cayman GTS more desirable than the Boxster for dyed-in-the-wool performance enthusiasts. More on that shortly.
Laps around Spain's Circuito Mallorca RennArena and the nearby Serra de Tramuntana mountain range would shed further light on how the GTS differentiates itself from lesser Caymans.
