HISTORY

Car spent its whole life in Sunny California. Bought new in the San Francisco Bay area of California. Later owned by a military man mostly stationed at Edwards Air Force Base.

CONDITION

The car is very original, looks like the original pans, interior, body panels and wheels (see photos). The wheels are factory dated 1969 chome steelies with factory hub cabs. The interior looks original, dash is cracked and missing pull down pockets in the doors. The seats are original and show very good for there age, no tears or rips with excellent headrests. Radio is a Blaupunkt model. Its a 5 speed gear box that seems to shift fine, clutch needs adjusted.

The patina of the paint is good from living in the California desert. The windows are all good and work. The floor boards look fine and the gauges are intact. The engine runs but need TLC, most likely old gas. Car last run about 2 years ago when put into storage.

Its a true California car with a clear California title. The winning buyer must despoit $1000 into Paypal, 48 after auction ends. The deposit is NONREFUNDABLE NO EXCEPTIONS. The balance due with bank transfere with 4 days. Shipping is buyers responsibility and the seller will help in anyway he can such as loading and being available for truck carriers.

The vehicle is sold AS IS, WHERE IS, with NO WARRANTY. Buyer should ask questions and they will be returned or come see the car in person.

Auction can be ended anytime if I get a acceptable bid.

2015 Porsche Cayman GTS

Thu, 29 May 2014

The Porsche Boxster and Cayman will forever nip at the heels of their big brother, the 911 Carrera, and perpetuating this tradition are the latest GTS variants, which add yet another arrow to the quiver of the plucky mid-engined platform.
The GTS' performance enhancements boost horsepower by a mere 15 and shave a tenth from 0 to 60, but Porsche's clever product planners and engineers have stuck to their familiar formula in making the Cayman GTS more desirable than the Boxster for dyed-in-the-wool performance enthusiasts. More on that shortly.
Laps around Spain's Circuito Mallorca RennArena and the nearby Serra de Tramuntana mountain range would shed further light on how the GTS differentiates itself from lesser Caymans.

2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S

Wed, 04 Sep 2013

A Wicked-Fast Street Legal Multi-Tool
Walter Röhrl was carving up the circuit in the Porsche 911 Turbo S like a skilled Jedi Master - and I was sitting next to him, mesmerized by the breathtaking show. I had strapped myself securely into the front passenger bucket of the all-new coupe less than a minute earlier, expecting nothing more than a few quick laps around a track at the hands of another celebrated race driver. Been there, done that. Many times, actually.
Yet this was different. Röhrl was not only calculated and methodical in his approach, but his rally-tuned cerebrum appeared to be actively reading available grip levels while effortlessly tossing the all-wheel-drive Porsche into each corner at gut-wrenching speeds. His hands were moving rapidly, sending tiny steering corrections to the front tires, and he was using every inch of the track to extract more speed. We launched over a curb, dropped a wheel in the dirt and then drifted around a wide off-camber turn. His human precision and focus was astounding, and the performance he was extracting from the machine was just short of breathtaking.

Driving the million-mile Porsche 356

Fri, 30 Aug 2013

Maybe you've seen or heard about the Porsche 356 with almost one-million miles (though it doesn't look like it), but Petrolicious finally has produced a video to show us what it's like to drive the 982,000-mile car. Guy Newmark's beautiful, dark-blue 1964 356C looks great in motion - much better than in photos - and serves to remind us not only what meticulous car care can do for old classics, but that old Porsches were built to last.
So how fastidious is Newmark about maintaining it? He takes the car to his mechanic of 40 years every 3,000 miles for an oil change and to fix anything that needs attention.
Newmark says his 356 "is everything you could want," and that he finds errands to do just to go drive it. We would, too. The next-best thing is to watch the inspiring video below of the well-traveled Porsche.
