1967 Porsche 912 Karmann Coupe

Numbers Matching

VIN # 463155

Engine # 756054

Transmission # 165170

Paint Code # 68-6607-G

Porsche has confirmed that all numbers match and that it came with black leather and wood steering wheel.

I have a Certificate of Authenticity on order from Porsche ( case 35297356) that I will send within  48 hours of receiving.

I will be happy to answer any questions or concerns by phone or email. My number is 907-328-9195 and please leave your name and number if I do not answer.

I believe this to be a Canadian model due to it having the Kilometer Speedometer and the Celsius Temp Gauge, looking up the transmission numbers I found them to be for US/CAN.  Porsche could not confirm this at the time I spoke to them.

I purchased the car from the second owner who has owned it since the  early eighties and who has enjoyed it until now. He said it had been repainted the original sand beige color before he purchased it and had the aftermarket wheels when he bought it.This had been his summer toy for the past 30+ years which he has kept in a garage or storage during the winters and enjoyed during the summer months.

This is a true survivor that has been driven and appreciated through the years. There have been few modifications and this is an excellent candidate for a full restoration or as a daily driver for years to come.

I have cleaned the carbs, adjusted the valves, and performed a tune up.

Car runs and drives well.

I have only test driven and taken this car on a few drives. This car is an absolute joy to drive. It shifts well, goes through the gears as it should, accelerates nicely, and brakes well for a car it's age. You do have to pump the brakes one time to get to them to grab well.

I have taken the best pictures I can to show the condition and finish of this survivor.

Exterior

The body is in real nice shape with minimal rust on the floor pan and under the battery. The rear looks to have had a minor collision with something (the rear bumpers are slightly tweaked).

The rear quarter panels, rocker panels and fenders are all solid and rust free.

There are chips and some peeling in the paint but it looks good and shines up well for it's age. There are signs of repaint from years ago that include tape marks on some of the rubber trim and places where there is peeling in the paint.

There is pitting on most of the chrome but it is all there and in good shape.

The glass is all In good shape for being original. There are some scratches on the windshield but no cracks

Most of the rubber trim is in need of replacement.

Interior

The seats have been replaced with what looks to be VW seats. They are mounted on homemade brackets. The rear seats are original and in good shape. The driver door panel is rough and shows it's age. The passenger rear window is missing a couple of screws for the latch.

The original rubber floor mats are all there and in good condition with one tear on the passenger side

The gauges are all there but not all working.

The Kilometer Speedometer works but the odometer does not. I did not try the trip meter.

The tachometer works as it should.

The gas and temp gauges work.

The oil, and generator lights work.

The Celsius temp gauge is there but the thermo coupling is wrapped up on the back and the light is not hooked up.

The clock is there but I did not try to get it to work.

The dash pad is in need of replacement.

Rimac inks deal to purchase 55% of Bugatti from VW Group

Mon, Jul 5 2021

ZAGREB, Croatia — Croatian electric supercar builder Rimac is taking over the iconic French manufacturer Bugatti in a deal that is reported to be worth millions of euros. Rimac said GermanyÂ’s Volkswagen Group, including the Porsche division — which owns a majority stake in Bugatti — plans to create a new joint venture. The new company will be called Bugatti-Rimac. Rimac Automobili announced Monday that it will be combining forces with Bugatti to “create a new automotive and technological powerhouse.” Rimac has progressed in 10 years from a one-man garage startup to a successful company that produces electric supercars. Mate Rimac, who founded the company in 2009, says the venture is an “exciting moment” and calls the combination of the companies “a perfect match for each other.” Porsche will own 45% of Bugatti-Rimac while Rimac Automobili will hold the remaining 55% stake, according to Croatian media reports. Financial details of the deal were not published. Bugattis will continue to be assembled in eastern France, where the company was established in 1909. The vehicles will use engines developed and made in Croatia. “In an industry evolving at ever-increasing speed, flexibility, innovation and sustainability remain at the very core of RimacÂ’s operations," the company said. “Uniting RimacÂ’s technical expertise and lean operations with BugattiÂ’s 110-year heritage of design and engineering prowess represents a fusion of leading automotive minds." Porsche Macan teaser reveals unique quad-LEDs

Fri, 11 Oct 2013

In truth, all-but-undisguised prototypes for the upcoming Porsche Macan compact crossover have been spotted galavanting all around the globe for some time now, but even the least-camouflaged examples have been caught wearing eyepatches covering their headlights and taillights. A dark new teaser image from Porsche clues us in to why that is - the baby Cayenne is getting unique quad-LED peepers up front.
Porsche has been hinting at lighting innovations in its production cars through recent concept reveals, including the stunning Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo showcar from last year's Paris Motor Show. The wagonized Panamera also featured four-point LED arrays up front, as well is in the rear, so it seems likely that this lighting will become a Porsche design signature going forward.
Powerpoint slides leaked from a recent dealer meeting suggest the Macan S will arrive packing a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6, while the Macan Turbo will boast a 3.6-liter force-fed unit, with both models receiving seven-speed PDK dual-clutch gearboxes. Pricing is expected to range from $52,000 for the S model to $75,000 for the Turbo.

Porsche wins the 2015 24 Hours of Le Mans

Sun, Jun 14 2015

The question going into this year's 24 Hours of Le Mans was whether or not the Porsche 919 Hybrid would be able to combine its qualifying pace with race reliability. After battling neck-and-neck with Audi's R18 for most of the race, the answer is a resounding yes. Not only did Porsche drivers climb the first two spots on the podium, they did so without any major mishaps on track. This win is the first overall trophy for Porsche since 1998. Audi previously won the last five races, and 13 of the last 15. Corvette also returned to the winner's circle, with the No. 64 C7.R taking winning the GTE Pro division. The victory is the first class win for Corvette since 2011. KCMG won the LMP2 class in ninth overall. With 45 minutes to go the No. 98 Aston Martin crashed out of first place in GTE Amateur, giving the class win to SMP Racing's Ferrari and second place to the Patrick Dempsey Racing Porsche 911 RSR. For the full list of official results, click here. The GTE Pro class proved to be just as exciting as the P1 class, with a four-way battle for first after four hours into the race. For most of the race, the battle at the top went back and forth between the two German manufacturers. An tire puncture in the No. 7 Audi gave up the lead to Porsche, and moments later a crash forced the No. 8 into the garage. But a three-minute replacement of the front and rear bodywork kept the Audi in contention. As the race wore into the night, Porsche maintained a slightly faster pace than Audi. Nick Tandy took the lead on Lap 253 early Sunday morning, and car No. 19 never gave up the top position. The win is the first for all three drivers of the No. 19 – Nico Hulkenberg, Earl Bamber, and Nick Tandy. A lap behind in second was the No. 17 Porsche. The Audis fought reliability problems late in the race but still finished third with the No. 7 R18. The GTE Pro class proved to be just as exciting as the P1 class, with a four-way battle for first after four hours into the race. As the Aston Martin cars dropped away, the lone Corvette Racing entry took over, followed by a charging AF Corse team Ferrari 458 Italia. The Corvette and Ferrari continued to trade places in the final hours until gearbox trouble forced the No. 51 Ferrari out of contention. It was eventually passed by the other AF Corse car, No. 71. Nissan experienced all the pain of a first-year effort with its front-wheel-drive GT-R LM Nismo.
