Porsche 911 Carrera S Convertible 2-door on 2040-cars
Hamburg, Pennsylvania, United States
Exterior The exterior of the vehicle is in great condition, I know its kind of hard to see but it has vinyl wrap in front of the rear wheels. This is to protect the paint from rock chips in that area. The top is also in great condition with no signs of excessive wear. The powered top works great with no hesitation, sealed completely with no leaks of any kind. There are no signs of any rust to the body or frame. There is no paint work on this car!! There is however a few minor dings, just normal road use. I like to take care of my vehicles and it shows. Please review the photos to get a better idea of the exterior of the car. Interior The interior of the vehicle is super clean with minimal wear, Inside you can see the driver seat has a little more wear then the passenger (typical). Engine Vehicle is equipped with a 3.8L flat 6cyl engine, that has 355 H.P and 295 Ft Lbs. This motor is a step up from the plain jane Carrera which comes with just a 3.5L version. This engine is in great condition with no issues what so ever. Had it checked before putting it up for sale no leaks of any kind ! Went along and did an oil and filter change so the person that purchases the car has no worries of when it needs to be changed. The clutch in the car is strong and grips good. Shifts are smooth no grinds of any kind. The car has 15k on it and definitely drives like it too. Once again vehicle runs and drives with no issues and the transmission shifts with ease throughout all gears and revers.

Mark Webber treats Maria Sharapova to a Porsche 918 Spyder joyride
Tue, 29 Apr 2014We don't much like Mark Webber right now. Part of being a racing driver is dealing with promotional stuff. It's not hard to find a driver that can't stand all this nonsense, whether it be promoting a product, meeting investors or attending some obscure event. Even a driver of Webber's caliber - a former Formula One driver for Red Bull Racing and a member of Porsche's factory Le Mans team - has to serve his time at the promo events.
Somehow, though, we don't think the Aussie driver minds this particular promo detail. In the video below, Webber attends the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart. He then takes tennis superstar Maria Sharapova out for a spin behind the wheel of the Porsche 918 Spyder. The level of jealousy at the Autoblog office is palpable.
Take a look below for the video. And as we're super jealous of Mr. Webber, hop into Comments and caption the above photo based on what you think he's saying to Maria. Bonus points if you can work "vegemite" into the caption.
VW close to decision on selling Bugatti to Rimac
Sun, Feb 21 2021FRANKFURT — Electric hypercar maker Rimac Automobili and Volkswagen's supercar brand Bugatti are a good technological fit, Porsche's CEO told German weekly Automobilwoche, fueling hopes that a deal between the two could happen soon. British automotive magazine Car last year reported that Volkswagen was on the verge of selling Bugatti to Rimac Automobili, citing sources. In exchange, Porsche, also owned by Volkswagen, would raise the 15.5% stake it owns in Rimac, founded by Croatian entrepreneur Mate Rimac, Car said. "At the moment there are intense deliberations on how Bugatti can be developed in the best possible way. Rimac could play a role here because the brands are a good technological fit," Porsche CEO Oliver Blume said. "There are various scenarios with different structures. I believe that the issue will be decided by the group in the first half of the year," said Blume, who also sits on the management board of parent Volkswagen. Rimac has developed an electric supercar platform, which he supplies to other carmakers, including Pininfarina. Blume also confirmed higher savings targets for Porsche, saying the carmaker plans to support results by 10 billion euros ($12.1 billion) of cost cuts by 2025, up from 6 billion previously. Drive-up bank robbery perpetrated with Cayenne and WRX
Sat, 14 Sep 2013Thieves carried out what appears to be a movie-script-perfect robbery of a bank in Sydney, Australia early on Friday morning, using two stolen high-performance vehicles in the process.
At around 11:15 AM local time, in near mid-day light, reports say that two men in masks smashed into the side of a Westpac bank in a confirmed-stolen black Porsche Cayenne. The perpetrators were armed with sledgehammers according to witness reports, and took only about five minutes to take what they were after inside of the bank.
The rapid getaway was executed in a Subaru WRX, also confirmed as a stolen vehicle, while witnesses snapped camera phone images of the illicit goings on. One Twitter user posted a few of the images to his social media feed; you can take a look at them in our small gallery below. Follow on down for the full video report, from The Sydney Morning Herald.
