Solid project - Non sunroof coupe with S trim package including front and rear factory sway bars. Very desirable special order Metallic blue. This car has been off road for many years and has been loosely reassembled and does not run. No evidence of accident damage to the chassis. The car has had the front suspension pan replaced and welding completed in the left and right jack point/door jamb areas -torsion tube area is solid . The brake system, fuel system will need to be gone through. The motor and trans are correct for the car (both from 1973.5 cars) however they are not original to the car. The motor was purchased 5 years ago with only 75,000 miles from california car consequently muffler and heat exchangers are in great shape. Updated pressure fed tensioners were added at some point. Doors and front and rear lids are original to the car. The spare tire rim is a 5th ATS cookie cutter (not pictured)
There are some parts that have not been re-assembled and can be seen in the loose parts pictures other wise what you see is what you get. other info: The windshield has wiper marks in it and will need replacement. It will also need a carpet set, rubber parts and headliner. The outer body panels align pretty well but have dents and dings and will need a competent body man to get them all perfect. MIA- fuel pump, regulator ,radio, antenna , rear seat backs foot boards and possibly a few other parts I have missed (ask if you don't see it) I am available to show the car. or email or call me with any question before you bid - jburger657@aol.com 8455905355. $500 non refundable deposit required from the auction winner within two days of end of auction. Buyer responsible for shipping however willing to help with pick- up I have this car for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early. On Sep-15-14 at 09:23:56 PDT, seller added the following information: more pics available On Sep-16-14 at 11:16:02 PDT, seller added the following information: up date information on the motor - I found the ad from 9 eleven Planet that I purchased it from back at the end of 2006 - I have shortened it below for your convenience or you can look it up at the URL address provided below in the questions and answers I am going to sell a 2.4t cis engine
that I removed from a 67,000 actual mileage 1973.5 T. This engine is a
good runner with 7% or less leakage on all 6 cylinders when checked ice
cold. It comes complete from the airbox through the early heat
exchangers and muffler. The muffler and heat exchangers are also in very
good condition. This was a california car that has extremely minor
damage to the right rear quarter panel around the tailight bucket but I
have decided to part it out instead of repairing it. engine series # 911/91 engine serial # *6135415* This engine is plug and play if you have a like car. It does have turbo valve covers and CARRERA CHAIN TENSIONERS. |

Audi welcomes Porsche back to Le Mans like any sibling would
Fri, 06 Jun 2014Ah, sibling rivalry. It really is a beautiful thing. It's even more beautiful when said siblings are automakers with very, very well-known racing histories. That's how you get videos like this, which is Audi's way of welcoming Porsche back to the top flight of Le Mans racing.
Yes, Audi has taken its R18 E-Tron Quattro back onto public roads, wowing schoolboys and scaring farmers (who appear to be riding classic Porsche tractors), as it travels from Ingolstadt to Zuffenhausen, just to taunt its corporate frenemy.
Take a look below for a video to see just what that teasing looks like.
Porsche wants you to 3D print your own Cayman
Tue, 10 Dec 2013Have you got access to a 3D printer? Well lucky you, because as we're rapidly learning, the possibilities are virtually endless. And if your tastes lean towards the automotive (as we'd assume they do if you're reading this page), we've got good news.
Porsche has just released 3D printing data for the Cayman S so you can three-dimensionally print out your own and customize to your heart's content. Now Porsche hasn't specified just to what scale the data will allow you to print your Cayman, but we have a feeling that'd mostly be limited by the size of the printer at your disposal. Check it out in the video below and follow the link to the Porsche site to download the file.
Porsche celebrates 5M Facebook fans with crowdsourced one-off 911
Mon, 05 Aug 2013Porsche's Facebook fan base appears to be accelerating as quickly as the cars it builds. The German automaker has just unveiled a special 911 Carrera 4S designed with crowdsourced input as a way to thank its five million Facebook fans.
The 911 features special Aquablaumetallic paint from Porsche Exclusive, contrasting 20-inch white Carrera S wheels and pinstriping, along with an aero package including a fixed rear wing. Inside, there are unique backlit sill plates and the obligatory dashboard engraving that says "Personally Built by 5 Million Porsche Fans."
As a way to turn at least one virtual thumbs up into its more meaningful physical-world equivalent, Porsche is holding a contest to win the chance to drive the car at Britain's Silverstone racetrack - and bring a friend - and nine lucky runners-up will win 1:43-scale models of the 911. If you want to enter the contest, click here.
