I am the original owner of this vehicle (non-smoker). The MSRP was $117,900. I purchased it in August of 2008. It has been extremely well cared for, always garaged and is in very good condition. I am selling it because I purchased another vehicle. Most of the miles were driven on the highway going to a summer house. All maintenance was performed by the local Porsche dealer and it is completely current. It recently received its majorservice consisting of oil and filter change, air filter change, cabin filter change, brake flush, replacement of front brakes and replacement of spark plugs and ignition coils ($3,800). It has all-season tires with 9/32nds of tread (i.e., less than 50% worn). The car is located in Greenwich, Connecticut and I have the title in-hand. The 2013 Rolex 24-hour race at Daytona comes down to the last hour [spoilers, w/video]
Mon, 28 Jan 2013It took 24 hours to run the race, but it was the last one was stuffed with the high action as four cars were still trying to figure out how to gain victory on the track and in the pits. Along with the obligatory crashes, spins, mechanical issues and retirements had come numerous penalties, a double-digit number of full-course yellows and two hours of fog that turned early Sunday morning into a stretch of parade laps.
The final hour would make up for the morning - drivers who might have been happy just to get on the podium had a shot at victory as the end of the race approached, and that turned into a few gambles that paid off, and at least one that didn't...
NFL draft recruits to get Porsche 911s for fastest 40 times
Thu, Feb 5 2015It's fair to say the NFL Combine is a big deal for players entering a draft. Their future quite literally comes down to a series of drills. You a defensive tackle? Better rock out on the bench press. Hoping to be the next great wide receiver? Your vertical better be awesome. And what of the running backs? Well, few drills match the importance of the 40-yard dash. That particular drill will have a renewed importance not just for the RBs, but for other skill positions at this year's Combine, as the three fastest times will be gifted a shiny new Porsche 911. Adidas is offering up the three cars, which ESPN reports are valued at about $83,000 a piece. That means these new recruits won't be rolling around in a Turbo or GT3. They will, however, sport a questionable sense of design, as the German shoe company has fitted a cheetah print, which is meant to match one of the company's new trainers. Porsche gives Nick Murray exactly what he deserved [w/video]
Sat, 19 Apr 2014The tale of Nick Murray and his lemon Porsche 911 appears to have come to a satisfactory end. As noted in the original story about Murray, he and Porsche Cars North America met and came to a resolution. However, we didn't know exactly what that meant, until now.
Murray has created a new video explaining that PCNA offered to buy back the car at full price or give him an exact replacement for it. This was exactly what he was asking for. Murray remains pro-Porsche in the new video. "I am definitely considering reordering a Porsche 911," he says.
Porsche also posted a message on its Facebook page that clarified the situation. "We at Porsche have always sought excellence in all that we do. We know you expect it of us. And when we don't meet that standard, we make every effort to improve," said a portion of the note.
