You are looking at a like new 2012.5 (currently body style, the type 991, not the older type 997) Porsche 911 Carrera 7-speed coupe with Platinum Silver Metallic paint and Luxor Beige interior. It in excellent condition with only 6,450 original miles, flawless paint and interior. There are no dings, dents or scratches in the bodywork and no chips, scratches, curb rash or pitting on the wheels. I am the original owner of the 911 and the car has always been stored in a heated garage when not being driven. The Porsche is nicely optioned with 20" Carrera S wheels, heated front seats, a SportDesign steering wheel, clear front side turn signal lenses, auto dimming mirrors, and Porsche tan carpet floor mats. Another nice option is the 4-year, 40,000 mile prepaid Porsche Scheduled Maintenance Plan which is fully transferrable and is associated with the car's VIN, so it automatically transfers with the car. All maintenance is up to date and the car has a current PA state inspection sticker. There are over two years remaining on the original 4-year, 50,000 mile factory warranty and the prepaid Porsche Scheduled Maintenance Plan. Payment in full is due within 7 days of the end of the auction, unless other arrangements are made in advance. I am willing to deliver the car to Porsche of Mechanicsburg (PA) for a pre-sale inspection and/or for shipment following the sale, at your expense. 2015 Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid
Mon, 03 Nov 2014Think of the electric motor in the facelifted 2015 Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid as the cream filling in an Oreo cookie. Under the hood of this plug-in hybrid crossover is a 333-horsepower, supercharged 3.0-liter V6 with a 95-hp synchronous electric motor sandwiched between it and an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. The clutched powertrain allows pure combustion, pure electric or a combination of both to drive all four wheels through Porsche's permanent all-wheel-drive system.
Differentiating itself from the Panamera S E-Hybrid sedan, which shares the same basic powertrain and stores energy in a 9.4-kWh battery, the Cayenne crossover is fit with a more robust 10.8-kWh lithium-ion battery that delivers an estimated pure-electric driving range of up to 22 miles at speeds of up to 78 miles per hour.
To be one of the very first US media members to sample Porsche's latest fuel-efficient crossover, the automaker flew us to Frankfurt, Germany, to test the five-passenger Cayenne S E-Hybrid on its home turf.
Infiniti cribs new US boss from Porsche
Mon, 19 Aug 2013Just weeks before he was supposed to become CEO of Porsche Cars Australia, Infiniti has apparently offered Porsche COO and Executive Vice President Michael Bartsch a deal he couldn't refuse. Thus, Bartsch has join the company as Vice President of Infiniti Americas, the luxury marque's top North American post. Bartsch replaces Ben Poore, who has been with the automaker since 2008, having led both a 22-percent sales surge in 2012 and the brand's current sales slough, Automotive News reports.
Bartsch, Porsche's No. 2 US executive, has held the COO and Executive Vice President positions at Porsche since 2005 and was scheduled to become CEO of Porsche's Oz division on September 1. Infiniti has experienced a number of recent personnel changes in the past week: it named Vincent Gillet, formerly an executive for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, to lead its marketing efforts worldwide and Simon Cox, a former designer for automakers including Ford and Peugeot, to head a new design studio in London.

VW confirms development of 10-speed dual clutch, 134-hp/liter diesel
Fri, 26 Apr 2013Each year, the Vienna International Motor Symposium showcases some of the up-and-coming technologies automakers are engineering for the use in passenger cars, and Volkswagen AG CEO Martin Winterkorn revealed some big developments VW is working on for its future products. Winterkorn discussed a multi-faceted approach that VW is looking to reduce its fleet fuel consumption and exhaust emissions.
Some of the bigger news he discussed included a "high-performance" diesel engine that will produce 134 horsepower per liter and a 10-speed DSG automatic transmission. While no specific applications were mentioned, we can only hope this is for the Audi R4 we keep hearing about.
Another topic he touched on that caused us to perk up our ears was had to do with VW's plug-in hybrid technology. While we know the PHEV versions of the Audi A3 and Porsche Panamera are on the way, Winterkorn also said that these two models will be followed up by Golf, Passat, Audi A6 and Porsche Cayenne plug-in models.
