Exceptionally cared for vehicle with one owner.  Original sticker price of $129,605.  2010 911 C4S special ordered with a ton of options including:  black full leather, power comfort seats with memory, self-dimming mirrors, heated front seats, cooling front seats, bluetooth, sports chrono package, navigation, bose high end sound package, multi-function steering wheel, universal auto interface, white stitching on dash and seats, painted interior console to match exterior paint.  Only 17,146 miles since delivery two and a half years ago and always garaged and never driven in inclement weather.

The car has recently been given brand new rear tires ($1,400) and a few months ago got new front tires ($1,000).  In addition, all maintenance has been done, including the 20,000 mile maintenance ($900) which fine-tuned all of the convertible functions and doesn't make the next major maintenance for another 20K miles!  Lots of love and care put into this vehicle.

For potential buyers who need it, the car was involved in a small incident in a parking lot where the left rear fender was barely scratched by another car (no damage other than black rubber against the white paint).  Both cars were next to each other and parked so no dents.  The other car backed up and nudged my car and scratched that area of the car. Because it was Florida and in a mall parking lot, a police report had to be filed which backs up how minor this incident turned out to be.  I repaired the back bumber with paint (but most of it came out with compound) and used the opportunity to get one scratch on the front bumper re-painted as well which I have all records. These repairs didn't have to be done since they were small and only noticeable to a very discrete eye, but unfortunately I knew they were there and fixed them.

Original warranty is 48 months or 50,000 miles.  Car was purchased in June 2010.

Car is currently registered in Florida but located in New York city.

Fri, 03 May 2013

The Turbo S will dispatch the Nürburgring in "well under seven and a half minutes."
Porsche is celebrating the 40th anniversary of its 911 Turbo in the best possible way: by announcing the next-generation of the rear-engined beast. The 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S are here, and man oh man, do they seem like the business.

Roger Rodas' Widow Suing Porsche Over Carrera GT Crash

Tue, May 13 2014

Investigations undertaken by local law enforcement may have vindicated Porsche from any wrongdoing in the crash that killed actor Paul Walker and racing driver Roger Rodas last year, but the latter's widow is apparently not convinced. According to emerging reports, Kristine Rodas has filed a lawsuit seeking unspecified damages from Porsche Cars North America. In her suit filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court, Rodas' attorney Mark Geragos reportedly disputes the findings of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, which asserted that the vehicle was traveling at an unsafe speed of 90 miles per hour on city streets, identifying the speed as the cause of the accident. Instead the lawsuit claims that the vehicle was only going 55 mph and that the cause of the crash was improper equipment – namely a faulty right rear suspension and the lack of a crash cage and proper fuel tank. "The Carrera GT was unsafe for its intended use by reason of defects in its manufacture, design, testing, component and constituents, so that it would not safely serve its purpose," according to the specifics of the suit obtained by the Los Angeles Times. When reached for comment, Porsche Cars North America spokesman Nick Twork told Autoblog: We are very sorry for the Rodas and Walker family's loss. The crash was the subject of a detailed investigation by the proper authorities (L.A. County Sheriff and California Highway Patrol), and their investigation disproves the allegations in the lawsuit. The investigation found that driving at a high speed in a negligent manner caused the crash and concluded that there was no mechanical defect. The Carrera GT is known as a difficult car to drive. As the LA Times report points out, Jay Leno spun one at Talladega in 2005, and the following year, Porsche paid part of a multi-million-dollar settlement after two were killed on a track when their Carrera GT struck a slower-moving Ferrari. The Rodas lawsuit could very well point to that previous suit from San Diego Superior Court. Whether the court in LA will hand down a similar ruling remains to be seen.

Porsche planning jacked-up 911 Safari? [w/poll]

Thu, 26 Dec 2013

The Porsche 911 may, for some, be the quintessential sportscar. And that typically means keeping it on paved roads and racing circuits. But there's a proud history to taking the Elfen off-road that traces back to specially-prepared 911s (like the one pictured above) which Porsche fielded in rallies in the late '70s and early '80s. And now Porsche is reportedly preparing to tap back into that history with a new off-road 911 model, according to the Auto Bild Motor Revue.
Tipped to be called the 911 Safari, the special variant would be based on the Carrera 4 but upgrade with bigger tires fitted to a beefed-up suspension with higher ground clearance and underbody skid plates. The model is expected to be presented initially as a concept at the Beijing Motor Show next April. But if enough interest is expressed - particularly from buyers in developing markets where the roads might not be as smooth as those to which North American and European drivers have become accustomed - Stuttgart could put it into production in 2016, when the current 991 is expected to get a mid-cycle refresh.
