2007 Porsche 911 Turbo Coupe 6mt (997.1 Tt) Manual Trans - Just Serviced on 2040-cars
Rochester, Michigan, United States
2007 911 Turbo (997.1) Coupe in Arctic Silver Metallic with Stone Grey Leather Interior
6 Speed Manual Sport Chrono Package Plus 33,900 miles (may increase slightly if it is taken out of the garage when the weather gets nicer) Clear title / title in hand Just serviced! - All service up to date; no check engine lights; no issues The car has the optional high end audio system (see pictures) 3rd owner (prior owners in the south) - autocheck is wrong on # of owners - a prior owner moved / also lists dealers as owners (including one owner that apparently only owned it for 3 days). I am the 3rd owner. ***Pictures taken 4.6.14 - Please let me know if you would like to see something particular, I have lots of high-res pics • Recent 40,000 Mile / 6-Year Service Performed - I have all receipts/records. o New Spark Plugs - this is a big plus given the significant cost to this service (total service cost at Porsche dealership over $2,500). This is because you must remove the rear bumper, heat shielding, intercoolers, lower the engine and remove additional engine covers and remove the ignition coils to access the plugs. o All Fresh Fluids (oil change, new oil filter, brake bleed, new ATE Amber brake fluid) o New Cabin Filter o New Air Filter • GT2 Clutch Master and Slave Cylinder Conversion -- Original Parts Included (this is a great upgrade and eliminates the hydraulic-assisted clutch which is notorious for having problems/needing replacement and does not have a good feel) • Euro Clear Side Marker Light Kit with "stealth" Clear Bulbs • Stone guards (recently replaced with new film) • New battery (replaced 1,000 miles ago) • Professional tint on all windows (excluding windshield) To those interested in the car, I would be happy to provide the detailed PPI report from Breman Motorcars (Porsche dealer in West Palm Beach, Florida). This full pre-purchase inspection was very thorough (cost of approximately $500) and includes Rev-Ranges information, Carfax / AutoCheck buyback guarantees, and all detail of any issues that existed at the time I purchased the car in mid-May 2013. The car was at a stoplight and the car behind it slowly bumped it. No real damage from this, nothing was replaced/no new bumper, absolutely NO insurance claim money was ever paid, it was just a scratch on the rear bumper that was repaired - I can provide all details and support for this, including the police report that has every detail, insurance company numbers, etc. The car is priced accordingly. The car still has carfax buyback guarantee, clean title, etc. I have two sets of wheels--the OEM wheels as well as an aftermarket set by Roderick. I originally bought this car to drive all year, but it has sat in the garage most of the winter. However, I did take it out once to see how it would handle in the snow and the all-wheel drive is quite amazing. With the awd and dedicated snow tires, this car could handle winter without a problem. I can include the second set of tires w/snows if desired and negotiated (not included in asking price). Buyer's option - the car can come with the OEM wheels with summer tires that have approximately 2,000 miles on them. The car can come with Roderick wheels and summer tires (the Roderick wheels are the wheels pictured only once in the pictures below). Or the car can come with both the OEM and Roderick wheels with winter and summer rubber if desired and negotiated. Other than the GT2 clutch, tint, and Euro clear side markers, the car is bone stock. Hand washed regularly -- use Chemical Guys professional detailing products. All manuals One master key Receipts/dealer service records in books/and service records available for recent service work Some slight curb rash on one of the OEM wheels Roderick wheels are perfect and in new condition (these are the wheels only shown in one of the pictures) - I can provide more pics Minor stone chips which would be typical of a car with 33k miles w/highway driving Two noteworthy scratches/chips were pointed to in the pictures |

Magnus Walker turbocharges his love for the Porsche 911
Thu, 31 Oct 2013He's had his fill of early, long-hood Porsche 911s - he owns at least one from each model year, from 1964 to 1973 - so Magnus Walker, a fanatic of the Stuttgart, Germany-based automaker, recently set his sights on the early Porsche 930, as documented by this XCAR video called 'Turbo Fever.' Let us translate: pretty soon Walker will own all of the earliest, non-intercooled 911 Turbos - at least one from each model year, starting at 1975 and ending at 1977 (though the 1975 911 Turbo Carrera never officially was imported to the US by Porsche, so it'll be tougher to find one Stateside).
Any Porsche enthusiast can tell you why they love their car, and it often comes down to the small details that differentiate one model year from another. One of many examples is the mid-'80s 928. They look similar, but the basic difference between a 1984 Porsche 928 S and a 1985 928 S (US-spec) is two camshafts and 54 horsepower, though each car's V8 has its own pros and cons. We'll let Magnus Walker tell you all about the 930 and what makes the first three years special, as he's becoming quite the expert on early, air-cooled 911s. When the nearly 15-minute mini-documentary was filmed, which you can view below, he already had added four early 930s to his collection!
Porsche testing new 911 GTS
Wed, 28 May 2014Porsche may have one more vehicle in its stable with the GTS moniker, if these spy shots are any indication. They show off the presumed 911 GTS lapping the track - the model meant to slide in under the GT3 to be a bit more driver-friendly but still very fast alternative to a stock Carrera.
At first glance, it might look like any other 911, but the devil is in the details. The most obvious among the differences are two centrally mounted exhaust outlets, rather than the ones closer to the corners on most of the current models. They also aren't perfectly in the center like the GT3. The taillights are also somewhat thicker than the current ones, and the rear decklid is split into three exposed sections.
This is the third time we've seen the presumed GTS. The first was as a coupe late last year. Then it showed up again in March testing in convertible form. Although, that version also sported fender vents at the rear.
Porsche hybrids come up short at Le Mans
Tue, Jun 17 2014Two cars, one finish, zero victories. That's a brief synopsis of Porsche's hybrid-vehicle performance in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in France. There's always next year. Porsche entered two 919 Hybrid vehicles in the race. The No. 14 car essentially limped to the finish line after encountering drivetrain problems. The other Porsche hybrid, No. 20, was driven by Germany's Timo Bernhard, New Zealand's Brendon Hartley and Australia's Mark Webber. That car ran for more than 22 hours before its own powertrain issues did that racing team in for good. Both vehicles ran towards the front of the pack at times during the race, and the No. 20 car actually led the race after about 20 hours. Still, both teams said they were disappointed in the results. Porsche sister company Audi came up big for the 13th time in the race's long and storied history. One Audi R18 E-Tron Quattro won the race, while another finished second. The Toyota that had pole-position and was winning much of the race shut down after 15 hours of racing because of electrical issues and Nissan had trouble with is ZEOD RC. Check out Porsche's press release below, and read here for a more general race recap. STRONG PERFORMANCE BY PORSCHE 919 HYBRIDS BUT NO DREAM ENDING IN PROTOTYPE RETURN TO LE MANS Le Mans. After a strong performance by both Porsche 919 Hybrids, the Porsche Team was left empty-handed after a dramatic final stage of the race. Following more than 22 hours, car No. 20 driven by Timo Bernhard (Germany), Brendon Hartley (New Zealand) and Mark Webber (Australia) suffered a powertrain problem at the world's most famous endurance race, the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Earlier in the race the LMP1 class car was leading overall for a significant period of time. The second innovative and highly complex prototype – in the hands of Romain Dumas (France), Neel Jani (Switzerland) and Marc Lieb (Germany) – likewise proved to be very competitive, but was hampered by a drivetrain problem. However, their No. 14 car crossed the finish line under its own power. After a thrilling start to the race with changing weather conditions, numerous accidents and a relatively calm night, Bernhard took the overall lead in the No. 20. The longtime Porsche factory driver returned to the top spot after 20 of the 24 hours. At 12:36 (CET) on Sunday, he handed the leading car over to Webber. Less than 20 minutes later the Australian was forced to slow down and drove solely on electric power back to pit lane.
