Tiptronic Transmission - Premium Bose Sound System - Only 43,975 Miles
For sale is my 2005 Porsche 911 Carrera S. This coupe is an amazing Porsche 911 and is in immaculate condition.
It comes with factory ceramic brakes, which is an exclusive option that was only added to a select few Carrera S
models. This is an expensive option and definitely differentiates this Porsche from most others. The ceramic
brakes allow for more responsive braking and do not produce the typical brake dust you typically see on other 911s.
These brakes also have the 911 signature yellow calipers, which look amazing and are instantly recognized by
Porsche enthusiasts...I have received a lot of compliments on the look of this 911, especially the color / wheel /
ceramic brake combination.
This Porsche 911 has a clean Carfax report, no accidents, non-smoker and looks like new. This 911 has only been
serviced at Hendrick Porsche in Charlotte, NC since I have owned it. It has been stored in the garage and is never
taken out in the snow / inclement weather. It comes with front / side airbags, sunroof, premium Bose sound system,
tiptronic transmission with shifters on the steering wheel, cd player, navigation, and a ton of other features.
Also, I currently have an extended warranty on this Porsche 911 for an additional 3+ years or an additional ~44,000
miles (Total odometer miles of ~88,000), whichever comes first. This can definitely be transferred at a low
additional cost and is a great feature to have on this 911. I purchased this warranty through Hendrick Porsche in
Charlotte, NC last year.
Thank you for your interest in my 911 and please reach out to me with any questions.

Porsche Macan configurator lets you build $110k crossover
Mon, 25 Nov 2013Part of the idea behind the new Porsche Macan is that it's less expensive than its larger sibling, the Cayenne. But with a starting MSRP of $49,900, the base Macan S is actually $300 more expensive than the cheapest Cayenne. That, however, is just the start, as you can see from the online configurator.
As is often the case with German cars in general (Porsches especially), tick the right boxes and you'll soon be leaving that base price behind in a cloud of tire smoke. Start off with the Macan Turbo and you're looking at a base MSRP of $72,300, which is already over twenty grand more than the naturally-aspirated version. But even that soon escalates as the options pile on.
Aurum Metallic paint will set you back $3,120. 21-inch wheels, another $3,300. You'll probably want the air suspension, torque vectoring, the Sport Chrono package, adaptive cruise control and lane-change systems, and those each add over a grand to the price. A Burmester surround sound system is the single most expensive option at $4,290. And if you choose them all - and choose all the optional trim packages - you'll soon be looking at a price in excess of $110,000. That's enough to get you into a Cayenne Turbo... assuming you don't tag on all the options to that one, too.
Porsche 911 GT3 RS spec sheet leaked, promises 500 hp
Mon, Feb 23 2015Axis of Oversteer has three pages of what's purported to be the spec sheet for the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, and it's got a few bolded items noting key differences with the already spectacular 911 GT3. Prime among them is its output, pegged at exactly 500 horsepower and 339 pound-feet of torque, which looks at first blush to be a minor bump: just 25 hp and 14 lb-ft over the GT3, and the redline drops 200 rpm to 8,800 rpm. If the document is accurate, though, there will be a hefty dose of weight loss to make the most of it. The bodyshell and doors are aluminum, carbon fiber reinforced plastic is used for those vented front fenders (the vanes are plastic), the front trunklid, the rear engine cover, and the rear wing, while the roof is made of magnesium and the side windows are polycarbonate. The bucket seats, door entry guards, and other interior trim pieces are also fashioned from CFRP, and it gets lightweight door panels with pull-loops. Elsewhere around the coupe, the body grows wider by 50 millimeters in front and 30 mm in back over a track that's 36 mm wider. There's a pit-lane speed limiter for track days, tinted taillights, an optional Clubsport package with a six-point seatbelt, and GT3 RS logos everywhere. It's looking more and more like this car was developed to define the word "epic." Supercar parade entering highway is mesmerizing
Thu, 09 May 2013In what must have looked and sounded to motorists on the M6 like an invasion of The Swarm, a parade of 50 enthusiast gems leaving a charity event were caught shooting down the on-ramp and merging into traffic. There were plenty of Porsches joining the 959 and Ducktail above, Aston Martins going back to the badboy V8 of the last millennium, a Ferrari Testarossa, a TVR and numerous other Easter eggs.
There were not, however, plenty of turn signals, with someone counting just five among the fifty engaging in proper use of the blinker. One reason put forth for that is the same reason we're posting this video, which is from last Summer, below: "because supercar." Enjoy.
