I am the original owner of this factory ordered 2005 997S coupe with six a speed manual transmission. I am meticulous about maintenance and cleanliness, I am a non-smoker, I do not own a pet, and I am a ten year plus PCA member. This 911 is 100% stock, has never been tracked, abused or modified. Since taking delivery, my father and I have been the only drivers of this wonderful car. It is not my daily driver, but it is driven regularly. The exterior color is Seal Grey Metallic. The interior color is Stone Grey. It has the following options: Stone Grey Full Leather; Stone Grey Floor Mats; Power Seat Package; Self Dimming Mirrors; Park Assist System; Navigation; Bose Sound Package. All maintenance is up to date, and the following maintenance work has been performed within the last eleven months: oil & filter change, brake fluid change, coolant change, clean body drains, clean front radiators, replace cabin air filter, four wheel alignment. In addition, the following repairs/updates have been performed in the last nine months: Install LN IMS update kit; Install new RMS; Install new starter & alternator wiring harness; Replace intake plenum bellows. I have purchased and carry (in the boot) a 986 spare wheel, tire and jack, which I will include with the purchase of the vehicle; it is shown in the photos and it will fit this car. Please note that this car is eight years old and does have some minor cosmetic flaws, all of which are shown and specifically delineated in the listing photos. They are as follows: There are two scratches (one noticeable, one not) on the front bumper; There are two small scratches on the passenger side of the hood (one is a hairline scratch and one is a very small chip); There are two small dimples on the driver side of the car (one on the front quarter panel and one on the rear quarter panel, the one on the front is noticeable, the one on the rear is very slight); There are three very small chips on the passenger side door near the handle; There are two small indentations in the back of the passenger side rear seat (from a child seat which I just removed, so it is likely that these will dissipate on their own). I have, and will provide to the winning bidder at pickup, the original owner's manuals in their Porsche pouch, the original window sticker, all original keys and a Porsche certificate of authenticity. Please note that this is a used vehicle in excellent condition and it is being sold as is with no express or implied warranty of any kind. The winner is solely and fully responsible for picking up the vehicle. A $500 deposit via PayPal will be required within 24 hours of the auction close, and payment in full by cash, official bank check or wire transfer is due at or prior to pick up, but in no event later than five days following the auction close. I have tried to list all of the relevant information about this vehicle and its history, and I am very straightforward as you will see from my prior listings and feedback. Please feel free to email any questions you may have, I will try to answer them as quickly as possible. I also own a set of “Turbo Twist” wheels from a 996 with brand new Blizzak snow tires and 5mm spacers necessary to fit them on the 997S. I would sell those separately if the winning bidder is interested. Good luck and thank you for your consideration.

Lamborghini could be sold or spun off from the Volkswagen Group
Sat, Oct 12 2019Volkswagen is reportedly considering a sale or stock listing for its high-end Lamborghini brand. The German automaker is looking to fold the Italian supercar brand into a separate legal entity, reports Bloomberg, which cites "people familiar with the matter" who don't want to be identified "because the deliberations are confidential and no decisions have been made." Any of this sound familiar? The goal of spinning off Lamborghini would be to stockpile more cash and other resources for VW's massive planned push into electric vehicles. Back in March, reports circulated that Volkswagen's "Vision 2030" corporate plan might include plans to focus on the brand's core brands — VW, Audi and Porsche. That means the futures of fringe players like Lamborghini, Bentley, Bugatti, motorcycle brand Ducati and design firm Italdesign (and note this isn't a comprehensive list of brand's under the expansive VW Group umbrella) are up in the air. VW, according to the report, is targeting a market value of $220 billion, which is a big jump from the brand's current $89 billion valuation. Bloomberg pegged Lamborghini's valuation at around $11 billion back in August, buoyed by sales and profits generated by the introduction of the Urus sport utility vehicle. On the flip side, Lamborghini is currently grappling with how best to update its supercar lineup in the face of ever-increasing emissions regulations.
German carmakers recall 630,000 diesel vehicles in Europe
Fri, Apr 22 2016Mercedes, Opel, Porsche, and Volkswagen will recall over 630,000 cars in Europe, according to reports Friday. No diesel car has been able to get under the legal emissions limit in real-world driving, according to a German government investigation. While only Volkswagen Group has been using a specific "defeat device", other carmakers have been playing with their exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) systems. Depending of the manufacturer, the systems have been cut off at a certain temperature. In a specific test cycle the systems operate to fulfill the legal requirements, but in everyday use the limits are exceeded. According to the magazine Der Spiegel, the supplier Bosch is behind this programming and has provided it to all German automakers. The mentioned carmakers have announced recalls, but many other manufacturers are also mentioned by name in the report, including Alfa Romeo, Chevrolet, Dacia, Fiat, Ford, Hyundai, Jaguar, Jeep, Land Rover, Nissan, Renault, and Suzuki. PSA Group, which produces Peugeot, Citroen, and DS cars, declared yesterday that its offices were raided following an emissions investigation. Porsche (finally) unleashes full, official details on 918 Spyder
Mon, 09 Sep 2013Porsche has finally let released all of the details on the 918 Spyder, the German brand's challenger to the McLaren P1 and Ferrari LaFerrari, after months of leading our poor, performance-loving hearts on. The covers were lifted at the Volkswagen Group night, an enormous precursor to the Frankfurt Motor Show, and include a massive, 11,000-word press release that's attached at the bottom of this page.
The 918 Spyder features a mid-mounted, dry-sump-lubricated, 4.6-liter V8 engine that generates 608 horsepower when left to its own devices. Combined with a trio of electric motors, which produce 286 hp, the total system horsepower for the 918 Spyder rests at 887 ponies. That's less than the McLaren P1 (903 hp) and the LaFerrari (949 hp), but the Porsche is also likely to be a bit cheaper, starting at $845,000, while the McLaren will be in the seven-figure range for certain, and it will more than likely be joined by the LaFezza.
The 918 Spyder counters with a 2.8-second jog to 62, a 7.7-second run to 124 and it will hit 186 in 22 seconds.
